Targeting yourself?

Hey is there any hotkey or quick way of targeting yourself for clerics?

Aside from clicking your portrait that is, which I imagine is extremely frustrating in tense PVE situations where speed is critical, not to mention pvp.

Thanks for any help for a new player.

Don't spend too much on STO, else you get added to the fraud system, where your purchases lock your content from being usable.

    For skills that only work on yourself you just have to cast the skill and it will automatically target yourself. For other skills that can target other people such as ironheart, just make sure you have no one else targeted and you will automatically cast it on yourself. Also if you have a monster targeted and cast ironheart it will heal you instead of the monster.

    There is no real need to target yourself, just don't have someone else targeted.

    and to untarget things, remember, the "Esc" key is your friend.

    there's also a UI feature (look for "protections" here) designed to help you not buff/heal your opponents in PvP. not sure how well that works, though, since i don't PvP.

    Thank you both for the help!

    Escape is essentially the hotkey then XD, I had not seen that yet. I will investigate the pvp feature as it sounds like it will be useful at a later date!

    And if hitting ESC doesn't work when you're trying to untarget something, click on the location bar just left of the mini-map, then ESC should work properly. That trick also works for getting rid of the orange star from the mini-map that appears if you view the main map.

    hey, thanks, that orange star always bugs me and i've never been able to figure out what it was for or why it kept appearing and disappearing seemingly at random. still learning about this game after almost nine months...

    At a higher level you need to be careful using the Esc key when your in BB cos that will cancel the skill and it could get a little prickly for the squads you're healing.

    Originally the orange star appeared at the end point on the mini-map when autopathing, but it got broken somewhere along the line.

    And yeah, I've been playing for a year and a half, and I'm still learning things too. :-)
