  • Yes, you do get a free flying mount from a lvl 30 quest. However, the mounts you get from the cash shop will be much faster. You can also only upgrade the speed on aerogears from the cash shop, so the slow "free" flying mount will always be that slow. I do not believe there are any quests for ground mounts.
  • As a side note, you must be lvl 40+ to participate.
  • Actually NPC'ing the items is a huge waste of money! :P You can make almost double the money by selling to another player's cat shop. Especially in bigger cities like Arch, City of the Lost, etc. - there are always cat shops that buy DQ items for higher than you can sell to an NPC for.
  • Yes, it is possible to drop items when you die, but only if you are doing PvP. Essentially, when you PK other players the color of your name will change. The worse the color gets, the more likely it is that you will drop items (even equipped items). For more info, see the official pvp guide here.
  • Some of the NPC merchants sell Chi-Stones, but otherwise you can get them from cat shops (other players). Once you have them in your inventory, drag them from your inventory to where your genie is equipped on the character window to use it.
  • Can anyone confirm the coordinates that are on that site linked by Peritia? I checked that spot back in my mid-20's and there were definitely no Desert Hornets there.
  • Well, the problem with talking in faction chat with a land mount is that you have to keep stopping to avoid obstacles or higher lvl mobs. A flying mount on the other hand you don't have to pay any attention to.
  • Beyond agreeing with the above... The differences between Heavens Tear and Sanctuary seems to only be in the area of TW (Territory Wars). In Sanctuary, there are two "empire" guilds that each own half of the entire server. In Heavens Tear, it is more broken out between 5-10 different guilds that all gain, hold, and lose…
  • Good luck on that one... I've asked the same question before and not a single person replied. I'm assuming the people who know want to keep that information to themselves.
  • Level 20 is the minimum to buy Zen/Gold for the Cash Shop. This doesn't mean for every character, but your account that you log into has to have at least 1 lvl 20. Also, I noticed when I hit lvl 20 that I had to log out of my character before the cash shop verified that I had a character of that minimum lvl.
  • Good to know, thanks everyone!
  • You can also talk to Mrs. Zoologist in Archosaur for renaming the pets. For that matter, she even sells you the Pet Collars if need be for 10k apiece.
  • Thanks Caestus, the 2,500 - 3,000 is the figure I was looking for. On a side note, are Hercs not tradeable, meaning that you have to get the Source of Force x9999, or can you simply buy the pet from another player who is selling it as a pet egg? I could have sworn someone was advertising it that way before, but I couldn't…
  • You should be able to get more than 45k, I'd raise the prices on that. I sold a lvl 20 one right after I caught it, and I got a buyer at 40k off my shop in less than an hour. P.S. - As you can see by my forums name, I am on the same server you are.
  • Personally I think being in a faction makes the game worthwhile. 99 times out of 100, in any MMORPG being in a good guild/faction dramatically improves how fun the game can be. Granted I tend to be a more social person in chat, but I've noticed that games where I do not play in a guild/faction I have much less interest in…
  • Terra, What I do with that start wolf pet is simply keep it with me, and try to keep the level equal with my other pets when possible. If you watch the experience bars, your pet levels much faster than your character does. That being said, I usually use my Cystalline Magmite until it is equal level with my character and…
  • Out of curiosity, does anyone know exactly what time "Server Reset" actually happens?
  • You do not HAVE to use the item mall. I have spoken with several players that are level 80+ and never once used the cash shop. You can make enough in-game money that can be used to trade with other players to get the mounts and such as needed.
  • Ok thanks all for the info.
  • Not really no... The only time your pets lost loyalty are when they get killed (20 lost each time).
  • Thank you Zhoelle, that was exactly what I was looking for! ;)
  • Yep, you talk to the Venomancer trainer for any of the skills or your main character, the Pet Skills trainer under "Tame Pet" for any skills that interact with your pet (i.e. Heal Pet, Rez Pet, etc.), and "Learn Pet Skills" to teach your pet itself new skills.
  • The short answer on this one is simply that you wouldn't need to worry about it as a new player. The Badge quests are all meant for higher levels, but for some reason there is no minimum required level to get the quest. Personally, I just dropped the Badge quest I had for now, and I will pick it up later in the game.
  • Actually I have tested this myself in several different situations - not only have I tried different pets but also against different mobs... Having the pet out or not makes no difference to your experience gained on your main character.
  • In addition to the above... For the most part, if you just follow your quests, they will take you to your trainer the first few times(you can Auto-Path to them once you have the quest via the Quest Log). After that you can just try and remember where they are. One thing that confused me at first is that I could see the…
