    18. Interruption of Service

    (a) PWE reserves the right to interrupt the Service from time to time on a regularly scheduled basis or otherwise with or without prior notice in order to perform maintenance. You agree that PWE will not be liable for any interruption of the Service, delay or failure to perform resulting from any causes whatsoever.
    (b) You acknowledge that the Service may be interrupted for reasons beyond the control of PWE, and PWE cannot guarantee that you will be able to access the Services or your Account whenever you may wish to do so. PWE shall not be liable for any interruption of the Services, delay or failure to perform resulting from any causes whatsoever.
    (c) PWE has the right at any time with or without reason to change and/or eliminate any aspect(s) of the Services as it sees fit in its sole discretion.
    (d) PWE is not be obligated to refund all or any portion of any Account fee (if any), by reason of any interruption of the Services by reason of any of the circumstances described in paragraph (a) or (b).

    While this is pretty clear to understand. A Roll back is not the same as a Blackout or a Server Failure duo to controlled Computer Failure. A Roll Back does not go in Section 18 (a) or (b). Because a Roll Back has to be performed manually by someone at a computer. The Roll back occurred during "Maintenance" where their "engineering team encountered a critical error that required the Archosaur server to be rolled back to a prior stable state."

    Which means they DO actually have to compensate for what people have lost. How much of what was lost is a toss up. But saying that they do not have to and then referring to the ToS as if it will back them up is wrong. If they are ABLE to replace someones Packs/Vit stones and other INGAME items. Then they are able to held accountable for the RollBack. Whatever "Critical Error" the engineering Team may have found and is keeping on a hush hush, need to know bases, that is fine. But throwing 2x and then sitting around and seeing how long it takes for us to Forget about this is wrong. Just because I dont put money on this game Religiously does not mean my 60 Dollars should go unnoticed. Wither it be 60 or 10 or 200. My money that I make is not to be taken "Well its only alittle bit of money".

    I can only be reasonable for so long about a Roll Back for so long with little to no feed back. As far as people leaving goes. Some may leave because they feel that the last 3-4 days defines what they have done in 1-2 years. But others are leaving because when **** hits the fan, pwi grabs the first umbrella they can find. And I will not be used as an umbrella to cover them up from this mess. Especially not when I get a BS response as "Unfortunately, items, EXP, and coins, and any other character progress lost because of this rollback cannot be recovered by Customer Service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we'll be running 2x EXP, spirit, and drops for Archosaur as compensation."

    If all my 60 Dollar lost brings is 2x. Then put it up for a bid in the Bidding Hall!!

    PewPew did you manage to re-buy your tome? Surely the seller was still interested.

    I couldn't reach him unfortunately but I found a merch that was screwed over pretty badly by all this and needed to recoup some losses fast and we made a deal. All i know is i wasn't going to wait another 4 months man, so Im glad I was able to fix it or I would have flown this coop.

    If you're in IT you have to know that databases don't aren't fully backed up every time. Bet the farm that PWI is fully backed up weekly, with incremental backups (changes are saved) daily or better. If the full backup is corrupt, there is little chance of recovery without a rollback (depending, of course, on the nature and extent of the corruption).

    Perfect World was rolled back to the last known good backup.

    From there it's tricky. If you recover SOME of the incrementally backed up data but not others, you are, in effect, choosing winners and losers from the event. Your choices:

    1) Leave everything as it was on Saturday. People who accomplished something special since then will freak out.

    2) Forensically recover as much of the transactional data as possible and make that right. Everyone who didn't get the benefit of the recovery will freak out, either because #1 still applies to them or because others moved their toons forward while the person freaking out did not, putting them at a disadvantage.

    3) Take players' word for what they lost and replace it. Never gonna happen. Rampant fraud would result.

    4) Blanket the world in significant compensation (something about 1000 times better than 2x). The biggest victims of the rollback will still be angry and unconsoled. Many others will feign anger even though they gained more than they lost, simply because we're taught by society to rage against the machine, whenever we can find an excuse. For most, the anger will pass, gradually.

    I think #1 or #4 will happen, though I hope they will also try to perform #2 for exceptionally large losses as some have described on this forum.

    i mean is there any specific that its his / her job to fix, band, answer, etc' etc' in our server like in other server which can be address at a time of a need ?

    its no point, these people are just sitting back eating some pop corn enjoying us QQ call it quits, but be sure am going to run my anti pwi campaigne, also i be look out for any sort of physical address of yours, and i will make sure to put it on forums, even if 2 people stay near your area, i did like to have them the pleasure of **** you up in real life XD!!

    And yeah stop trying to figure out more ways to **** up people...

    the 600+ mil i lost, was through such rare artifacts, i dont want to name them here as there would be people putting me in the faking list, but yeah, am in deficit to be exact of 622mil from this toon, and then another 10mil from my shop alt. None of which are returned....

    Also some weird points, charm usage never rolled back, Auto-pot timer didn't roll back, TW map didnt roll back.... and i just hope as some one pointed out, that as you are not replying your actually trying to figure how to get things back to normal.....

    I notice damage rankings didn't roll back either. But yeah, having what we all had on Sunday doesn't make us whole. I refined my armor before NW using Tisha stones. 5 attempts succeeded on 7 pieces of armor. (I went from 7 gears +10 to 5 gears +11 and 2 gears +9). Yeah I have my 7 celestones and Tisha's back, but odds are I won't be so lucky if I try again.

    I'm also out a few hundred million from merchanting during the chips sale (which I can't get back because the chips sale is over). I was very worried when I first logged in and saw I was missing over 100 GSTs until I realized a ton of dragon orbs reappeared in my bag. b:chuckle

    I'll just take a break til all this blows over maybe they will give us something nice out of it...

    I think it was selective. All items I had purchased and sold were reversed, but I have heard of others experiencing item and coin losses.

    its selective the items i bought are gone but money was not returned either b:surrender

    Yes, they are going to roll back Archosaur and Raging tides to day 1 to fix all the problems, impliment all of the updates, then let everyone back on to 2 very clean servers. No more r9rrs, No more "I glitched my way to 105" players, No nothing. There will be a short time of QQing but then it will stop...... as most of the population does after some time.

    My understanding is that PWI is in California, granted I am US central time but 5pm is hardly morning and no answer yet? WTF PWI? Busy with the lawyers finding out if its a good idea to *** us? Hmmm....?

    i mean like what KIND of critical error u guys had
    the reason u gave us *we encountered a critical error so we had to rollback ur server* is too vague
    even a monkeyhead can come up with a better excuse than that(sry no offence to monkeys)
    cuz without knowing the actual reason why u had to do the rollback,i feel like ppls are just wasting their time raging (which is already wasted) here on forums

    OK, Great I have my gold back. Now when are you going to reinstate the sale prices in the boutique so we can repurchase the items that we had used that gold to buy? Simply giving our money back is not a replacement of the goods we purchased, actually its only half enough. I would not have put gold on my account to purchase at full price, I did it because you promised to sell me a certain amount of goods for that price which is no longer available. So now I sit here with lots of gold but not the goods I want. When will the sale be reinstated or when will you reverse the charges and give me my real money back?

    That's actually a VERY good point. If they have to actually give people their real money back instead of gold they'll listen a lot faster. Would that be feasible for people to ask for cash refunds until something is done to change the situation?
