    you know what would help? being able to contact a GM IN GAME (besides the stupid "help i'm stuck" window). If that GM button would actualy GET US a GM, we could report people nice and easy who are abusing things and/or cursing on WC/horns w/o any regards to the age of anyone else playing. Do you have any IDEA how annoying it is to send a ticket every damn time we see something? The GM button SHOULD send a automated request for a GM to pm u and ask what's wrong. And if you don't have enough GM's...... hire more. Hell u make enough money off us, As much as some things cost you prolly make like 10X the money Square Enix makes off the monthly charges for FFXI.

    Telling us to send a ticket doesn't work aryannamage, considering most people dont' bother it takes so long. Take a SS... then find the SS.. then upload the SS to a site like photobucket.. then go to this site, go to the GM section, fil out a form... give me a break i'll bet half the freaking people playing this can't even do half of that (cause they dont' know how or where). We SHOULD be able to get a GM in game, tel them in pm's what's wrong, and they look in the logs THEMSELVES (since it's THEIR JOB).

    the fact is many are not happy about this = fine. however, this is something that everyone playing will have to deal with until there is a fix. and like the "red text" issue, i am sure it will be at least a week.

    therefore, people are going to have no choice but to deal or not play for a while.

    Sidenote~As for all these kids QQ'ing about bad language- get ready, my post is gonna get GM edited right here: PWI could take a page from the ArenaNet and NCSoft playbook: make it a player-side option to turn the filter on and off.

    There's the /GM option in chat.... but yeah, the chat IS rather annoying at times when the more annoying people are around. Astoru, Ignoring racism isn't exactly the easiest thing to do, especially in the more extreme cases. I should know, considering I often run into two seperate forms of discrimination against me, one somewhat more harsh than the other, but still a ways annoying.

    what loony decided to make horns for faction chat and squad chat? I Was helping faction member doing fb and we couldnt read instructions in squad chat for silly kids posting ****, i dont pay money to buy stuff to keep people alive only to have them die in fbs cos of morons talking rubbish.
    i have had to pm several obviously young persons posting things, that i do not want my grandson, who also plays to read! he is now banned until somone sees sense and stops this madness, i am also thinking of quitting till such time as faction chat and squad chat are put back to private. everyone in my faction is up in arms about this you may well lose a lot of players just to keep these silly kids making ridiculous remarks.
    imagine you are in a squad in FF or TT and all this garbage is up on screen=squad members dead!!!!

    So you don't want your child to see foul language, but you'd allow him to see all the sexual themes and revealing clothing that is completely impossible to filter out?

    Right. My point still rests: STOP USING PW AS A BABYSITTING TOOL. If you don't want you child to see it, don't let them play.

    What the hell u think i'm talking about? the "/GM" then hit enter in chat brings UP the "help i'm stuck" window. And the button takes u to the site which i'm sure alot of people dont' even know how to upload screenshots for one thing let alone the rest. As for the /GM.... I tried that once even though i wasn't stuck, cause they're SUPPOSED to PM you to find out what's wrong if you're not. Guess what? I got no PM. lol

    Reporting on behalf of 30 on-line members.

    Get rid of the horns, We DO NOT want to see this in our Faction chat.

    I personally did not spend 12.2 million coin from real life money in upgrading this faction to lvl 3 to see this stuff in fac chat.

    I also do not want to see this in squad chat either, when it is distracting, and when ppl are trying to say "look out mob coming, boss coming, or whatever" this is totally annoying.

    Please get rid of it.

    I understand u guys want to make money, but if ppl leave the game over this, then u lose all the other business with the coin they spend on here.

    Please, for the love of gamers, allow Perfect Horn to be filtered (as an option in the system settings).

    Having to scroll up/down to read what's in the Faction/Squad/Whisper chat box is really confusing and annoying. I suppose you (devs) won't understand our frustration regarding this problem; no offense.

    this is exactly my point. WC has always been a cesspool, but at least it was possible to go to another channel, and tell my kids to stay off WC. now, its everywhere, with no place to escape it. and to submit a ticket for every idiot who violates the language,etc rules would fill up my PC with screenies, and the support system would fill up my email with the form letter 'we are looking into it. thank you for playing PWI'. i've been trying to get help with a glitch for my veno for two weeks now, and the average time between submitting ticket and getting yet another request for a diagdx is getting longer every time.


    please, this used to be such a wonderful game. PLEASE dont ruin it with unleashed sewer mouthed players! and dont shut down myself and others, just because we care enough to post....if we didnt care, we would just delete our characters and leave. its because we care that we are fighting this.

    You guys say people will leave the game over this. You said the same thing when Anniversary packs came around, and they had a MUCH more adverse effect on the game than a revamped teleacoustic.

    Face it, you can complain all you want. But no one is really going to leave the game over it (At least, not enough to make anyone care)

    Im not sure if this has been suggested (lots of replies) I think the new chat is spammy and silly since everything I have seen on it has been nothing interesting just annoying spam, but perhaps a really long cooldown (12-24 hours) and a much higher price might make it tolerable. One game I saw have spammy chats like that cost over 2 USD. b:bye

    whoops. sorry. Ironically, I've played a game where the world chat was free o_O What is weirder is the fact that the game had a world chat that was rather tame compared to the chaos I've seen on this game.

    If these chats are not able to be filtered, then perfect horns should be way WAY more expensive.

    5 extra silver so a message is seen no matter what? Definitely worth it. Then what's the use of regular WC. Everyone will just use the perfect horn, clogging up regular chats, and annoying a lot of players until they just stop playing.

    Make them cost at least like 1-2 gold each, then the messages would be less frequent and won't be all annoying spam (for the most part)

    this is easily explained with psychology: the horns let ppl gain a new "freedom spot" they never got used to.

    in a place where this same freedom spot was always implemented, there is no more the feeling of "surprise" and "joy" every damn kid with no brain is having now in PWI.

    its just like the legalization of marjuana in netherlands: there, in netherland, ppl got used of it, and smoking joints in cof shops is no more unusual than drinking a beer in a pub. but what if they ever legalize marjuana for example in italy (where i am)? thousand of totally gone ppl walking on the roads for months and years! xD

    Just get a screen of something that is obviously obscene or the ones that cross into terroristic threats and use one of those 2 contact methods. By their own rules this game 13 year olds are allowed to make an account on their own. Forcing a 13 year old to see many of the comments that are being said is illegal under US law. Failure to enforce these rules would result in the game being shut down.

    I have contacted them before because a different game refused to stop **** **** from being spammed all over the forum for 3 days straight. It did not take very long for the problem to be permanently solved after they were contacted.

    BTW screenshots of mindless spam sent to them will only result in yourself being charged with filing false report so only report racist/obscene/terroristic comments if you want to take it that far.


    My girlfriend wants me to do it but I cant be bothered to actually log in this horrible game to take screens. That would require reinstalling this **** on my computer again and that is NOT going to happen.

    Something tells me the devs are out to try and kill this game off as soon as possible, if you look at the things they've come up with that's gotten people mad. Either that or they're testing us to see how angry we get.

    What about for people who wants Faction chat to contains just Faction chat? Squad with just squad chat? I want a clean organized chat box. If I want to look at the history of squad chats, I would go to Squad Chat Box and read it (all green color), same for Faction/Whisper/etc.
