In a word, yes. I expect to see more "full heal" DC specs. I would imagine that a Righteous DC could heal adequately by slotting healing encounters, but that negates most of the benefit of being Righteous. UNLESS they actually fix Repurpose Soul, in which case Righteous DC's with high crit could heal their party with…
I'm not sure what this thread is about, it seems like this is talking about Divinity for AC in PvP. I have thought about the Divinity issue and come to the same conclusions as you: that there are certain thresholds that will reduce the number of At-Will casts we need to use. Any Divinity gain % above a threshold is totally…
I've always played a Righteous DC, since the game first released. The game was harder then, but overall much less fun to play. The main reason it's much more fun now is that with mod5, I finally felt on par with every other class. I was actually able to take on a "leader" role rather than strictly a "healer" role. I…
Changing the stat curves as such is like squeezing a balloon on one end and thinking it's got more air in it because the other side is stretched. If you simplify it all down, the details don't matter so much. Everything has 100% life, and it dies at 0% -- including players. How you get from point A to point B is going to…
Can you please work fixing Repurpose Soul into this update? I submitted these bugs back in 2013, and they persist to present. With the changes to Life Steal, I find it significantly more difficult to solo quests -- I have not yet tried a dungeon, but I can imagine it's going to be awful. I end up getting absurd overheals…
I have thought about this thread a lot, and even scrapped two lengthy replies I'd written. I think this is a great discussion, but it's framed wrong. The thread should be: Why does every DC Daily except for Hallowed Ground totally suck? It used to be divine that Astral Shield was the absolutely essential encounter power.…
Every class is using every ability. I'm not sure how you can narrow it down to Astral Seal or Hallowed Ground. The problem could very well be that the raid was not designed for a "zerg" of 25 players standing in the same spot throwing everything they got at one head at a time.
I have this problem, too, and it's debilitating. It's definitely NOT poor general performance due to lots of people in the raid. I expect performance to be much lower in a raid setting due to so much activity. Lowering the graphic settings really doesn't help. The average fps increases, but when the bug occurs, fps drops…
I quit playing about a year ago because I was very bored with the DC changes then, some unneeded nerfs, and the general feeling of just being the person that drops blue circles. I'm absolutely tickled blue circles don't even exist now. I have never seen any class in any game besides this one where the players…
You can keybind commands to use them without taking up your slots using the PowerExec command, as any item that does something is considered a power. Use it like this: /PowerExec 1 Power_Name_Goes_Here Potion of Coalesced Agility has the powername "Potion_Coalesced_Agility" so you would use the command like so: /PowerExec…
Topic is a little old, but here is a command you can use to activate the cloak, so long as it is in your inventory: /PowerExec 1 Item_Wondrous_Cloak_Etherealness_T04b Edit: Seems like the healing potion command only works if it's equipped.
Apparently if you build Life Stacks, you can use Punishing Light to attack and the heal with proc on yourself. It's a sizable heal that doesn't seem to be affected by Righteousness. (It heals the same to the DC and the target.) So you can do build three stacks, then use even one tick of Punish Light to put a self-heal in…
I set my party and enemy player health bars to always show, and set names to target only. That way I can see everyone's health, and I know when I am actually targeting them because their name will show up. This is the best way I've figured out to do it. (I use the exact opposite approach for enemies: always show names,…
Yeah, this is my biggest disappointment. The patch notes led me to believe it might be fixed. ("Many powers that didn't properly trigger certain effects now do.") Also, unless this was changed with module 2, Repurpose Soul is calculated according to the base damage roll. Armor Penetration wouldn't make the heals bigger,…
Reward a seal-type currency in the rewards chest, and you turn 60 of those in to complete the daily. For each minute of the the foundry's average duration, you get one seal. You could consider letting these foundry seals be used in other ways. Maybe you could trade them for campaign items or at least something. This would…
The main thing to consider is how much effective damage you can take. When you use Astral Shield, Hallowed Ground, Divine Armor, or anything that adds to Damage Resistance, then HP is the clear winner over Defense. The tricky part is that if you push up HP, you end up needing to self-heal more HP. Defense makes you take…
Yep, this is what I run with. It's great AoE damage. Single-target isn't quite as good, though Terrifying Insight does help when you're using At-wills to burn down a single mob. My other feature is Foresight just to beef up defense a bit, but don't exactly need it. I'd rather use Holy Fervor, except that we don't have any…
There is a way to do this with keybindings, but it's somewhat complicated. It works extremely well, but has a major drawback: you have to manually type in the names of whoever you want the hotkeys to target. The way I did mine, you end up having to type something like this (as four separate commands): /tar1 Drizzt /tar2…
I want to support most of what nermilz said. Cleanse could be very useful if it weren't so unpredictable. I do see "Cleanse! popping up fairly often, so it's at least working. The thing is that one more rank of Bountiful Fortune isn't going to make much difference, either. I'd like to think I might get a lucky proc of…
I notice you don't have any ranks in Break the Spirit. If your goal is healing, don't overlook it! At 3/3, it reduces all the damage the target deals by 30%. That's more mitigated damage than Astral Shield! It's extremely useful if you have a single mob doing lots of damage to everyone. In your build, I'd swap it out…
It's sad to think that it used to be universally agreed that GoF was useless. But now all the other Daily powers have either been nerfed or are bugged to the point that GoF isn't looking so bad.
I've found my survivability is highest when I have over 10% Life Steal. Daunting Light AoE turns out to be a much bigger heal than any of my actual heals. And then when I think about how every single class can have over 10% Life Steal, I cry a little. As many have stressed on these forums, we are not excellent healers but…
I'm not convinced that removing Righteousness would affect much of anything at the extremes, but do a lot for DC's who are more in the middle. By extremes, I mean having the best gear for your spec, which would be some specific spec that can only do that one thing well. For example, a PvP "punching bag" spec, or a PvE…
Human is the worst race for the DC. We don't have three extra heroic feats that are worth taking and +2 to some ability score is better than the defense. This is really just a matter of mechanics. I think Dwarf is the best race overall, but others might be better for a particular build. But absolutely, there is no build…
Please see my thread here for Astral Seal mechanics. It's a very odd one: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?469821-Punishing-Soothing-light&p=5876331&viewfull=1#post5876331 "So it turns out that if you are hitting really quickly, you are healed less for consecutive hits. It works out to be 100%, 50%, 33%, 25%…
I believe the original design was to make Punishing Light the right-click power, and then tabbing to divine mode would change it to Soothing Light. So you end up such that divine mode is for healing and normal mode is for damage. If that were the case now, you'd end up having to tab to switch between your at-will slots,…
