Considering the following facts, yes: NCL was supposed to be an ongoing league, split by seasons. NCL tokens are classified as "seals", not as event currency. The vendor stayed in game for weeks. I'm sure I still seen him when mod 7 launched. Also the NCL banner is still on the wall in the trade of blades.
Do you mean to ask: 1) Why would I need 4k ArP? or 2) Why would they put such stat on a lockbox only mount? The answer to both questions is PVP 1) In PVP the more ArP, the better. And with and extra 4k you can allocate stats to other areas. 2) Hardcore PVPers will buy anything that will give them advantage, and frankly…
Well nothing stops the technician from slipping under the big guy and kicking him in the nuts. I'm sure that will be more entertaining to everyone than watching them dance for an hour. This is supposed to be an action MMO, but PVP in particular is a turtle race. All those annoying defensive tactics, and various CC. Don't…
I don't now how much exactly this enchantment "breaks the game" (not rich enough to get it), but I do know that CC is annoying. Nothing makes you rage more than pressing buttons and see nothing happening. Less CC means faster paced combat, which is good.
It was nerfed. I did a few SCA runs yesterday and got 0 gears. A week ago I was getting a drop from a boss every run. A month or two ago they were dropping from chests also, netting 2-3 gears each run.
1. This is a forum, not a 1 on 1 conversation. 2. Yes, HAS been. Now its damage dealing abilities are at wet noodle level. Those perma CC trappers you're so complaining about? they can't kill a fly in PVE. 3. And so are GFs, what you're trying to say? People will always try to optimize based on what works and what doesn't.…
Overpowered? Really? 1) HRs do the least DPS off all ranged strikers. Even the zero CC archery feat path. 2) If you want to go perma CC there are far better options than an HR, builds which can actually DPS (ie CW) 3) HRs in melee are cannon fodder. Even the "melee" combat path. So please, leave our bottom of the food…
I guess I'll hold on the seal and wait till they nerf something. Funny but that's how this game is. I don't want to replace my WoE with anything at least at this point.
Interesting thread. I've seen SWs do insane burst damage. in PVP, more than good geared CW and much more than my archery HR. Most of them were damnation SB.
I can think of lots of "pvp ruining" builds before the perma stun(+root) HRs - immortal DCs for example. And HRs aren’t the worst perma stun offenders anyway, ever faced a BiS oppressor CW? HRs deal less damage than any other dps class so the perma CC is the most viable PVP build. Buff our damage and give archers a little…
As a dps build who relied on killing mobs before they touch me, this change feels bad. I used to kill mob packs in DR in 2-3 hits, now I'm hitting with a wet noodle and it takes too much time for content which supposed to be trivial for a 2.4ilvl.
Cordon is tricky to use, I usually aim it in front of where my target is running. But plant growth is the real gem here: big AOE, lots of damage and the only CC non-trappers have. Fox shift is very useful also because of immunity frame, if you time it right at a GF bull charge for example, its a life saver. I hit plant…
Never thought of that, I have to think what power i want to take out to try It. I use melee also, I figured that to be competitive I have to throw everything including the kitchen sink. So if I'm in melee range, I hit fox shift and/or plant growth before I marauder away.
Looks like you went pretty much the same route I did. Glad I'm not the only oddball archer. lol. The "deadly" HRs you see are trappers who focus on perma CC. You cant kill them because you cant move, but their DPS isn't very good and it takes them time to take you down (unless they're overgeared or someone else is…
Just read the blog and you'll get an idea: Stronghold will have a zone. You gather special resources and donate them to the guild coffer. (aka daily/hourly quests and/or black ice style mining) Guild officers use those to build things and give boons to guildies. (aka guild campaign) There will be some pvp element. probably…
The migration is not because vanilla is better or worse. Its to consolidate resources. Less servers, less stuff to maintain, less cost. So it'll be arguably a bit less user friendly. But on the plus size, aren't you sick of the "zero size object" error? well, imagine a forum without it :)
I took my pve archer to pvp last night. And I lived! 1 on 1 we're pretty much cannon fodder but playing smart we're a valuable asset to the team. Getting up on the higher level and raining hell on node contestors from above, bringing their HP down bellow 20% before they realized whats going on and then other memmbers…
There is no cap for pvp. Since there are no diminishing returns on defense, pvpers stack it. For pve its 60%, so that should be your minimum. But yes "as much as you can" is the answer.
CWs were the most and for the longest time "broken" and "unbalanced" as a lot of people like to say. In the time most of the elitists crybabys play them. This caused them to stay this way for a long period of time, because whenever CWs were touched, the amount of crying gave the devs ear bleeding. CWs are controllers.…
Having a small nice surprise is better than no surprise at all, so by all means keep that up. That being said, the way it was implemented gave no chance for casual players to get anything. I noticed the event as it was in progress and had no chance against others who "prepared". So it did become a contest of sorts.
Those TRs/tanks met the minimum item level, which means they deserve to play the dungeon, which means kicking them is being an *******. You got what you deservred. Want to play with overgeared elitists - form your own group.
I didn't know how cheap mark of potency were. Thanx. I calced by the WB prices and it was 75k to upgrade from r5 to r7, which is more expensive than buying on the AH.
Wheel of elements. I just never realized how awesome this artifact was till I got, and its one of the cheapests on the AH. It has a 120 sec cooldown even at green, the fire buff gives you 30% more damage, or if youre in trouble you can aim one of the defensive buffs on yourself, and of course party members can collect the…
I don't really have plans to upgrade/buy enchants in the near future, and I don't have too much of them laying around anyway. I have r7 radinats (almost all of them are slotted in my gear), a few black ice r7, and the rest are r5 or less. Mybe in the future when i can afford more enchants...
