  • Racial bonuses and ability power allocation (Tiefling gets +int and +cha for example, Human gets +2 to any) and the +3 heroic feat points for human. Can't remember High Elf ability bonuses but certainly int for 1.
  • Yeah and the prices on tools were already friggin high. Now its gonna be a hell of a lot worse :s. And you can't really farm dungeons for drops from chests now. Friggin marketing division wins again.
  • Shardplosion seems to benefit from aoe feats. However, that is an eyeball mark 1 assessment and could be wrong.
  • I went for defence. 250 is a high level enchant for free and adds a quite nice percentage to my mitigation whereas 250 power while providing some damage (good luck trying to figure out how much it does for what considering the scaling for different powers)... well i have damage enough at the moment. Still, it's a personal…
  • I expect SS to get nerfed :P. It just is so bloody good at the moment. I run it with a Rene build along with Shard an it is working pretty **** good. The AOE damage is phenomenal. Ill have to check how it does with CoI back in TAB (SS is there at the moment).
  • Yeah its 300 Zen for the tokens. I did submit an in-game ticket. The weird thing is that the respec was a feats-only respec not like a free respec (which yes I did have) or like the token respec.
  • Crashing in Protector's Enclave while doing precisely nothing. Happens from a few seconds after loading to a couple of minutes. Win 7 64 8GB Ram Intel i5-3570 Quad Core CPU Nvidia 650GTX Ti BOOST
  • Not true. Damage does not contribute anything to AP regen for CWs. Our spells going off and hitting a target, and in some cases number of targets hit (shield) do. Rogues get AP regen from damage.
  • Here's the problem as I see it. 1. I don't give a **** about pvp and all the 'permastealth is OP' QQ-ing. Yeah I do pvp occassionally and yeah those rogues can be irritating but that's pretty much it. 2. The majority of this game's playerbase is comprised of PvE oriented people and I don't think anyone is going to argue…
  • Prestidigitation does and so does toughness. Basically, any feat which increases the numbers on stats going into GS should in turn increase your GS. Unfortunately, in this game should does not necessarily mean it will :P.
  • 1. dunno 2. current preferences seem to be going in favor of HV but it also depends on build - Shadow would probably work better with Rene 3. if you want single target damage - Arpen > Recovery > Crit > Power (probably) 4. uh, loaded question, currently thaumaturge is the more popular due to somewhat better debuffing…
  • Afaik, there is no such post. It's a cumulation of experience, dredging combat parsers and testing which feats/powers do what when and to whom :P. Here's what I know so far:* Power - adds a certain amount (see tooltip in-game) to your weapon's damage. Scaled differently for different powers (see above for gain on MM versus…
  • Hey it's a cryptic game (pun intended ;P). Btw, I've been wondering about RoF vs. MM on single targets lately. Can't seem to make up my mind, sometimes it acts as a proc-machine for storm spell and beats the hell out of MM that way. Other times it doesn't proc it at all. Various bonuses from chill stacks make it even…
  • @OP: You have one major problem with that wizard - wrong primary stat rolls. Now if you buffed up STR/CON/DEX via the points you get while levelling, it won't be a major problem but you will have to cough up the AD for a respec token. With primary stats you increase ONLY INT/WIS/CHA. Depending on your preferences or build…
  • One other thing to note is that the stone is a good 200-300k AD cheaper (depends on exchange prices).
  • Evocation is somewhat circumstantial in its viability. If, for example, I'm on a run with a lot of ads where I can use tabbed EF for max AP regen and AS spamming, then shield pulse can do crazy damage (I've had 15k crits when mobs were debuffed with CoI and the like). So basically, it depends on how often do you utilize…
  • Move all the tier 4 heroic feats into learned spellcaster so you get 5/5. The tooltip for Focused Wizardry in the calc is wrong.
  • Actually, although IT has an area of effect, it's actual damge comes in as a dot - it 'ticks' so that's another one that's considered a dot (cryptic gameplay by cryptic is cryptic, I know ;d). Repel on tab... heh, a good example of how messed up it all is, after all CS is considered and AOE when tabbed and benefits, while…
  • EotS is a good option for PvP because PvP is about burst. Guaranteed 8 seconds of crits for your at wills and encounters (and MM becomes a monster with EotS) is very very powerful in pvp. With thaum spec chilling presence is an option due to the build, but its sustainable damage, not burst. Sure, if you find yourself in a…
  • I have. Chill Strike and Shield Pulse do benefit.
  • No, they don't work with CoI. Since the balancing patch CoI (and its aoe effect) are considered a DoT effect. Only 3 spells are affected by those feats: Steal Time, Shield Pulse and tabbed Ice Strike. The OP is probably confused because the wiki/calculator tooltips for Focused Wizardry state they affect single target…
  • IR here as well. Tried going with conduit since I'm thaum specced but it just doesn't seem to work that well in pvp. So RoE with CS and EF while IR is in tab. Oh and RoF as primary at-will o_O. Seems to work surprisingly well.
  • Look for those without enchant slots, they are a lot cheaper. Or just level tailoring and make them yourself.
  • Just remember that the argument rolling around in this and other topic actually has a very solid underlying basis: Which powers you use depends on the situation, the encounter, the group you are with, your feats. That's why for one tabbed ET is used for most fights, while for the other it will be CoI. You now have a solid…
  • Um, is it that the in-game tooltip is wrong or the wiki one (since that's where I saw it first and it's used in power calcs and other places)?
  • Probably the easiest to get decent MH weapon is the Gladiator orb.
  • You need: 1) 5+ mobs 2) the following aoe powers: Steal Time, Shield Pulse, Entangling Force in TAB 3) Procedure: cast Singularity to gather them in -> Shield pulse them when they're about to get sucked in (that way AS will still pull them back in a tight group) -> cast Steal Time (have a round of at-wills or whatnot) ->…
  • Storm Spell seems to be hitting it's tooltip damage thresholds.
  • Nope, that's the idiocy of the GS system in action - look at the tooltip on your char screen (the one for GS). If you add up all them numbers you will get your GS....
