I guess I'll start. Right now I'm specced into the Thaumaturge tree (middle tree), picking up Tempest Magic, Malevolent Surge, Snap Freeze, Elemental Empowerment, and Assailing Force, with my remaining points into Critical Power and Nightmare Wizardry. 1) Elemental Empowerment is currently bugged for the cold encounter…
Our cleric didn't mind it as much. What he did love is not having to endlessly kite everything. So the Astral Shield nerfing (which you knew was going to happen) isn't as bad, at least in PVE.
Most of my guild has just stopped logging on. I myself only log on to pray and check auctions. Dungeon delves aren't worth it until Cryptic decides to fix classes and patch dungeons. Once they come out with a balance patch, I'll pick it up again a bit more seriously. But hey, until then, we get reinstallments of companions…
Most of the people I run with are through with T2s after an awful night in Icewhateveritscalled, at least until they fix them. If it wasn't our rogue being knocked out completely after falling once or being unable to see the "red circles of death" from the boss AOE attack, it is the unending spawning adds that recover more…
Best solution IMO is a complete wipe, Zen purchases refunded. Exploiting accounts permabanned. Game fixed. To address the character situation, PW could restore all characters to level 1 but then give an xp boost to ease the releveling process, up to the level that the character was at before the wipe.
As someone who is a Founder and has a 60CW, I would love for a full wipe. Too many issues in the game that need to be addressed, not to mention the issues we will have once the new class comes out. I'd rather have them do it now, or at least by next month. Leveling doesn't take that long anyway.
Casting Shield on myself procced Eye of the Storm last night. I can also confirm that the buildup from Steal Time also procs Storm Spell and Nightmare Wizardry. I can assume that it could also proc Eye of the Storm as well.
If anyone hasn't done the Icespire epic dungeon yet...just love those infinite spawning mobs that recover 5k health every five seconds. Oh, and they don't despawn after the boss is killed.
After messing with a chill build tonight, I came to the conclusion that, while ice is more "fun" than arcane...it just doesn't do enough damage to justify a spot. However, a chill build can really help your other DPS simply TEAR into packs of mobs. If it had better single target or hell, if the chill spells had 300 more…
I don't even know why this is still a discussion. FACT: Every boss fight has adds. These adds must be killed, or you won't survive. SOLUTION: DPS adds and boss when you are able to. Why is this hard to understand? This is NOT a "sit on the boss, hurp durp DPS" game. Seriously, who the **** cares?
Honestly, I haven't done a dungeon since the late 20s (I am 50 now). The reason is that the dungeons don't give you too much xp, and they are only worth queueing when the bonus is up.
From my experiences in instances, the tank is really there to just hold the big boss and not the smaller adds. The DPS need to be killing those as quickly as possible.
Need easy XP? Go to Foundry quests during the bonus. You can easily make up the difference in levels there. I had to do that in the 40s. I don't see the point in doing any instances until 60 though. Not enough XP is gained in there to make up for straight questing. Find a buddy and go quest together, it goes extremely fast…
You should be able to find the debuff on whatever mob you cast it on, its a tiny square below the nameplate. Not extremely helpful, I know, but that's where it is. From what I understand its simply a flat percentage debuff on the mob that also does damage and builds a stack of Arcane Mastery, two stacks if you have it in…
Control wizards should never be using their knockbacks in dungeons. Tell them to L2P. I don't even have a knockback slotted, except if I decide I want to use the AOE frost nova thing.
I will once I get home from work. Basically using a renegade crit build as well. The AOE helps a lot more than the Cold CCing damage. With a max ranked Sudden Storm, I can pretty much one-shot most weaker mobs without Arcane stacks.
In the Pirate cove area, mobs are starting to hit harder now if I'm not careful. Two or three of them can easily knock me down to half health. Luckily the AOE bonus feats + Sudden Storm means I can easily take them out, but I did notice that they hit harder now. I'm using the tank companion since kitty sucks, but I may…
