For those of you farming T2 + as CW's what builds / roles are you finding effective. T1 I was full dps mode and topping every dungeon but after trying some T2 I'm thinking you can't just muscle past everything. My build has worked great thus far but I'm curious as to how to make improvements.
After messing with a chill build tonight, I came to the conclusion that, while ice is more "fun" than arcane...it just doesn't do enough damage to justify a spot. However, a chill build can really help your other DPS simply TEAR into packs of mobs. If it had better single target or hell, if the chill spells had 300 more damage added, I could see it being extremely viable.
Tab - When fighting a boss, shield. When clearing trash, usually chill strike or steal time for more damage and mobility.
Daily1 - Arcane Singularity. This skill is king, when you are fighting a boss or clearing trash and you have shield up, cast this. When the mobs are all being sucked up you can gain massive action points by bursting your shield on top of the mobs and arcane singularity will suck them right back up. Your melee partners will be glad to know that they don't have to run around endlessly anymore.
Daily2 - Ice knife. very high single target damage, that's all.
Depending on how I'm feeling my QER change a lot, considering that I am still testing the skills.
Mouse1 - Magic Missile.
Mouse2 - Ray of Frost
Q - I usually go with Ray of Enfeeblement. Very nice for singling out the tanky mobs and increasing clear time.
E - Conduit of ice, once again for a tanky mob and it helps the clear speed.
R - Icy terrain, I normally use this in conjunction with steal time for the most AOE dmg, I enjoy using this skill because I tend to play my CW somewhat aggressive and this fits perfectly into my skill set.
Passives: Storm Spell and Eye of the storm will make your life easy.
Nessa@gwas - 10,500 Gearscore Control Wizard on Dragon Shard.
4/4 Castle Never legit. 4/4 Shadow Weaver set. 1/2 Ancient Court Magister.

I did something similar to the Renegade build but with max AP gain
5 in Controlling Action & 5 in Critical Power. This is because it really helps in T2 boss fights to have Singularity up as much as possible. I took points out of AOE damage buffs. I have a feeling those feats are broken atm anyways and not applying to a bunch of spells. You can test this using the Evecation 15% aoe buff and looking at spell tooltips. It doesn't affect COIce / Shard etc...
MM / RoFrost / COIce / CStrike tab'd / STime / SStorm or RoEnf depending - for PVE. Having ITerrain is great for soloing I've found. Tabbed Repel is baller for shoving things off ledges in conjunction with Singularity.
My frost build still worked well the biggest shift for me was building toward max AP gain for the control. Singularity -> CStrike > STime is a great combo.
