Excellent. It's not like Everquest 2 though. Cryptic, just copy that. No one will hate you. The ability to raise your alcohol tolerance is a must. Being invited to the castle for an audience with Queen Antonia Bayle, somewhat thrilling. Showing up for your meeting with her highness drunk as a skunk, priceless.
Yes, I thought about that. But if Common companions only earned 1 upgrade token, it would cost a lot of gold. I'm fine with not being able to trade in common companions though. **Edit** Just throwing this out there. At a certain point in progression, you don't need to spend your gold on much. Might be nice to make gold…
That could work, but with the price of some epic companions on the AH, you might as well just pay the 1 mil AD to upgrade. If you mean that you'd need 4 of the same exact companion to upgrade it. So, trading companions for upgrade tokens might be better, that way you wouldn't need to worry about which companion you were…
Well, maybe we should just stop wasting our time on money on these ultimately meaningless, disappointing games and focus on more important things. Like making a difference in the real world. We only have one life here on this earth, and we have no idea how long it will last. Best to figure out what's really important to us…
IMO, the biggest problem with most MMORPGs is that the main goal is to become more powerful by killing mobs, completing quests, and dungeon raiding, but the only thing we get to do with that power is kill more mobs, complete more quests, and raid more dungeons. We don't have an opportunity to become a meaningful part of…
Well, I got to Cold Run with my 3k GF (on another account) a week or so ago. Haven't been back since. May or may not go finish Storm King's Thunder, haven't decided yet. All I'm really doing right now is acquiring the necessary diamonds and RP to finish refining/upgrading my GF's artifact gear to legendary just for the…
I hope that is not the case. But, yes, it would seem to be common sense that the more fun your game is, the more people will play it, and thus the more money a company will make. Long-term grinding has not been (and will never be) fun. If the principal reason to play, and the only true goal, is to become more rich and…
Other types of prestige items like rare mounts or companions are other sorts of things that people have suggested for the more difficult dungeons. And, yes, PVP is not fun if the reason you win or lose most of the time depends on whether your gear is better or worse than the people you are fighting.
Well, there are still missing standard and epic dungeons, and I don't think there would be anything wrong with making at least one epic dungeon, like maybe the Dread Vault, with 4k IL minimum requirement. It might also be a good thing to have one or two beginner epic dungeons that rewarded rare (blue) gear (no IL req), and…
You are probably right about that. Though it is apparent to most people that play this game that pvp is the most pay-to-win part of Neverwinter. Also, I believe the reason that a lot of people hate pvp is because no mmorpg that I can think of has ever implemented pvp in a way that's fair to all players. Of course, the…
I don't know for certain if BIS characters can't kill each other, but, if true, that's why matches with scenarios and goals would be good. They wouldn't have to kill each other to win. A team accomplished their goal within a set time limit, they win. A team keeps their opponents from accomplishing their goal within a set…
I'm certain there are many zones players would want to see in the future, especially players of tabletop Forgotten Realms D&D as well as fans of the novels, but it's clear that it's more important to us that the game as it is be fixed and improved first. I've sampled the other action mmorpgs that people tend to rate as…
I agree. Although class balance can be rather subjective. Personally, I believe balanced parties/teams is what is more important, whether in pvp or pve.
Yes, there are usually ways in which systems can be abused. It's up to the designers to predict those ways and plan methods by which the opportunities of abuse may be circumvented. Anyway, I was just trying to think of a way for players to earn diamonds besides dungeons, skirmishes, pvp, weekly quests, salvaging, selling…
I don't know if it should be available for quests for which you have to queue. But if so, PVP would and Epic Skirmishes have to cost 1k , 1600 IL reg dungeons 1.5k, and 2000 IL Req 2k. Mercenaries would be restricted from standard dungeons and standard skirmishes. Probably have to be lvl 70 to hire a merc. Perhaps…
Obviously, the majority of the people who would do the hiring would be new level 70s below 2k IL who are struggling with campaign quests. Also, people in the same guild could not hire each other. Anyway, I have a 3k+ guardian fighter on my main account, so trolling doesn't faze me in the least. If you look down on people…
You can already pay Astral Diamonds to upgrade any companion from common all the way up to legendary. You can also get free companions (as in without paying Zen) during many different kinds of events. So I don't see how such a feature would make them lose revenue. People who buy companions off the Zen market, like I have…
I don't know. A lot of companions don't cost actual money/zen. You can buy many companions with AD on the auction house, and they give away companions for free quite often. And people buy zen to in order to convert it into Astral Diamonds, so they don't really see how this would hurt their income. Most people aren't going…
Another idea, though not necessary is to be able to pay at the Emporium to make companions bound to account. 250k-500 AD for Uncommon 500k-1mil AD for Rare 1 mil - 2 mil AD for Epic 2 mil - 4 mil AD for Legendary Would make them into Errant Companions (errant as in wandering in search of adventure).
I mean the Maze Engine mobs that appear in areas like Blacklake District, Tower District, and Icespire Peak, etc. The ones that appear when you summon them from the skulls on the ground. They are immune to the knock-back and knock-down powers that I've used.
I'd just like to be able to wear a tunic and breeches. We have no commoner or tradesman fashion that I can think of. Maybe I just want to look like a regular townsperson.
You can download the Arc Client from this website, I believe. Or just search Arc Neverwinter on your favorite search engine. Should be able to find it. You have to install and patch Neverwinter again, but it only takes an hour or so. This may happen every time you buy Zen through the Steam Wallet. I don't know why PWE…
I would like this que system better if public ques actually worked. But I don't understand why I have to manually remove a player from my que after they leave the group. And I should be able to kick a person from party and que simultaneously.
Uncommons are good till lvl 50 at max rank, rare till 60. Which is why I don't know what the point of them giving us an uncommon battlerager in the Maze Engine campaign really is. Sure, it's good if you only have common at that point, but any companion less than rare or epic just takes a few hits and dies past level 60.…
