I was merely pointing out that there claim to making a 4th ed based D&D game is tenuous at best. This is an action rpg based in the D&D world; I just want the game they claimed to be making.
in 4e a control Wizard can use both a staff and an orb Illusion based Wizards primarily use an orb. The main reason people are upset with the Wizard is that it is not a D&D Wizard it is some strange cockamamie frost elementalist.
Let me just quote someone else. All I can say is stop balancing classes around PvP Cryptic; in fact take PvP out like you originally intended(by the way I like PvP in most games but D&D is not built around it).
The reason I and many others say that is do to the fact that the WC's spells are split between control and wizard archetypes. Unfortunately this causes the WC to be good at none of those.
I was just about to create this very same thread till i noticed you did it already. So far most of the CW powers seem to be very week DPS abilities; there are no AOE snares or really any effective snares at all.
My question would be in regards to class abilities. Do we have more variation in abilities than what has been shown in the two class videos(ie. . . Is the Wizard bound to only frost based attacks)?
I agree! My issue is not with a delayed release, but instead the complete overall lack of information about the release or really any ingame information for that matter.
I have no issue with a 2013 release either; I just wish they would just say "hey do to all the extra polish we are giving this we won't be releasing till mid to late 2013". I know Cryptic has a lot riding on this game considering their last two game where critical failures at launch. I just hope their trademark on Soon™…
I have been a pretty heavy critic of Cryptic games over the last few years, but one thing even i have to admit is they communicate pretty well once a game is launched(one only has to look at the CO and STO forums to see). Now the other thing is with every new game Cryptic launches an olser game gets tossed to the wayside,…
