  • The thing is that Wisdom would also give a + 10% to AP gain and Recharge Speed Increase (shorter CDs means more Encounters and Dailies, means more DPS) but you make a valid argument. The point you're making is the exact reason I'm switching to INT/CHA for my MoF (I already have the token I need). Do you have any…
  • Yes, the Elven Battle Enchantment gives such a large % of CC resistance that Control Resist as a stat seems less relevant. But why not have CC resist from Wis and rock a Trans Negation (also the other things Wisdom gives) ? Flat crit % might be really hard to get, but the STAT CritStrike is on a LOT of gear. I used the…
  • First of all Wisdom-like Intelligence-contributes to Recharge Speed Increase. Additionally, it also contributes % to AP gain, Control Bonus and Control Resist. If you level up Intelligence and Wisdom you get 30% to Recharge speed 'out of the gate', easy. Then you still have all your boons, gear, artifacts and feats.…
  • Exactly the same as me. I thought I was going to contribute more to the discussion but I'm a bit too tired at the moment. My two cents: I think the guild could use characters with a <insert secret organization (like Harper) name here> background. They themselves would try and influence/guide the guild where they see fit:…
  • These are looking really good! I'll make an account later today!
  • I've used a number of sites through the years to find groups but mostly it was rather difficult to find something recent. Gameshops often have game-nights where you can just show up and start playing. These gameshops or "a local hobby store" often also has a website. Look them up and/or check out the store, ask inside.…
  • Awesome! A Skyrim inspired tattoo is on my wishlist as well! As for D&D related tattoos. I was thinking about a d20 actually. Simple, small, and it can be as meaningful as you make it. God does not play with dice? rolling 20s? 16-20 crit range? What are the odds? I've been meaning to get a tattoo myself but as tinyish…
  • I'm quite interested indeed and I'm curious to see where this is going. As a writer who has been dabbling in philosophy for the last seven years (and ethics and politics in particular). The Harpers, for example, have always struck me as being inspired by romanticism and reminiscent of JJ Rousseau, but with a certain…
  • This sounds great. Personally I like to fully immerse myself in a roleplaying game, so I see OP's point. (in the end its up to the people and they should, of course, do whatever they want). In the end, I suppose, it's about what is perceived as In Character knowledge and what is Out Of Character. I would like to see guilds…
  • Another campaign, after 8 months of playing, nearly ended in a TPK, after my halfling rogue scouted ahead by himself and found himself petrified by a Medusa. Trapped in a dungeon, with no real way out, (and without a rogue!) the rest of the party continued for a few hours until they ran into some undead alligators and four…
  • This sounds great. I'm very interested in playing an arcane caster and am no stranger to RP and lore. *I need to do one of those introduction threads I guess. One question though; the philosophy of the guild looks to be compatible with all classes. Some (fighters, rogues) would be bound by honour, blackmail or paid by…
  • yes by all means delete/merge this mess. The thing is: my text appears black on top of a black background so I'm basically typing blind (which I why went into the whole copy-past thing to start with). Many apologies! Also the edit button works, but when I hit save, nothing happens. EDIT: Thanks gillrmn, everything seems to…
  • So I joined a campaign once via some guy I had found online. He had a game going and was looking for two more players so I joined the game. When I got there it was just the three of us: me, the guy, and a girl. The other guy was late or a no show, Im not sure, but anyways, the girl was another player (she played a half-elf…
  • copy pasted from notepad, same result.. oh well So the DM asked: "so you guys are just gonna leave the castle here huh?" When we came back, we found it overrun (of course). Another time my character was making a move at a princess. Turned out she was a thousand year old lich. On many occasions we had to stop the wizard…
  • A few moments come to mind. All in 3.0/ 3.5 btw. I once played the Deck of Many things for five hands. Lost my soul, cheated death, and got a castle instead. Went to castle, walked around a bit, left for a quest (to get back my soul). The DM asked:
