By damaging the mobs we are agroing them. They ignore the clerics and come for us. If this was a real raid with actual tanks and a coordinated group instead of randoms a normal strategy might be actually *minimize* damage and make them last longer while a tank keeps them agroed, but damaging works just as well. What does…
Just remember if you're doing T2 dungeons trying to get the T2 armor that you are opening the last chest. I'm just insisting to be sure, because it is too rare to do consecutive runs and not get the pieces to drop. I didn't try Fury so I can't say anything about it. I do know it is better damage than Temptation, which is…
Either you have the time to grind andthen the gear is useful, or you don't have the time to grind and then you shouldn't need really high gear. Here is my advice: - Do dungeons. If you have a guild that takes you to the dungeons you need for your T2 then great, if not then join the Legit channel and try to hammer those T2…
Learning how/when to use TT will boost your damage in dungeons, but there is no reason to be using T1 when T2 is only grinding dungeons until it drops. Start working on all campaigns for free GS boosts, btw. Personally I'm an Hellbringer Temptation so I cannot help you all that much, but these very same forums have guides.…
Lets hope it is better than every single event I have participated since joining NW. Which was the tail end of the Summer Festival. So far I am not impressed. Lots of grind, no pretties. I'll grab a mimic though, mimics are cool.
Both the belt and the cloak only unlock the offensive/defensive slot once legendary. Until then only the utility slot is open. Considering the nerf and increased prices for stones reaching legendary on more thn one item is not something achieved casually. I picked the belt since it adds HP and damage, but considering costs…
I found this quest annoying. Lets not even get on how the wolf disappears and we need to run back and get another one then run once more to quest locale. Why? What did this add to the quest? Then I go in circles. Half the time I'm digging out boots. The node results are static instead of random, so even when my wolf runs…
So, kinda like having to play catch up 600 (six hundred!!) times to deliver 600 tokens on *top* of earning the 600 tokens? At the time I mentioned something about hubris and my point still stands.
It no longer matters as much. We may not notice the increased drops but they are statistically there. The prices of the tomes went down from 950k to 450k in mod 5. They are dropping and they are being put up for sale, and while I wouldn't put 950k for 200 life steal I'm okay throwing 300k for it, so I'll wait it up some…
For leveling it may be fine, but chugging potions is not really a thing with a warlock once at 60. In fact, most at 60 don't chug potions. The damage and the life steal take care of things. As a tempt warlock I hardly use one and with me in the party it'll take a big emergency to do so. Curiosity tempts me to try the…
Killer Flames is... pretty decent against bosses, but that's the only thing I'd use it as a Tempt. There are some really big numbers thrown with it but the downside (math would be needed) is if dealing weaker damage for the first half of the fight is worth it. It probably balances out or even comes up ahead. My reasoning…
Yeah, I had 10 points to burn. At first I put them all in the Temptation tree, but they weren't doing much there. So I removed five points from Eldrich Momentum (nice feat btw) and five points from Darkness (the useless five since I won't like using the Blades) and put five in Critical Promise (pretty weak) and…
TT is the damage equalizer with mobs that have a lot of HP and the... um... the green skull for single target. I use No Pity as passive and Flames of Empowerement (with the trait) because during solo time or for most dungeons with decently geared people everything dies too fast to use TT, hence making good use of being…
On the contrary. It's an easy trap for a new temptation warlock. The game does not require VE and using it is as bad as using Shield on a control wizard. Healing through pew pew means throwing as much damage as possible and just bask in the life from your enemies. Fiery Bolt, Warlock's Bargain and Dread Theft are my go to…
I've only just reached 15k, but I'm a temptation SW. Which means when I drop warlock's bargain and start Dreadthefting even when the mobs start hitting me my HP is trickling back. After the initial knocks from the drakes I cast Fiery Bolt, and again, that serves the purpose to damage as well as heal myself up, especially…
You might need to check your build. I never had a problem killing things. I won't say Fury doesn't do more damage, but Tempt is perfectly adequate. ... You weren't using Vampiric Embrace, were you?
I went Tempt and never looked back. It is basically he same as a Fury warlock, but we happen to heal in AoE. No need to slot special powers or babysit HP bars, we just do damage and our party is healed. The only difference with Fury is that it does more damage. Damnation is a bit of a PvP spec from what I have understood.…
But DT doubles as decent unlimited target AoE *and* synergizes pretty well with our T2 4p. With all the HAMSTER that CCs me out of DT I wouldn't mind tossing it off for something else, but single target it is powerful thanks to the T2 4P and for AoE it devastates too.
That Rodjigo the Invincible HE is really borked. I had some motes and was never able to use them since I was constantly in combat. Running away from the HE and then returning to it didn't work as the mobs would come bat me around. I'm sure some people managed since we had the motes at 8, but seriously... Who was the bright…
You'd get more bang out of your buck with Firey Bolt, even it being fire damage. Things die too fast to rely on an extremely slow cast that ticks away and relies on the mobs staying clumped and your anchor not dying.
Welp. After a few dungeons I can say the change was not dire (of course thanks to the tooltip not being changed for all I know we're still healing at 200% and that's why it does not feel dire). Did CN, kept everyone up. Most well geared players already have enough life steal to not need a DC *OR* a tempt warlock and would…
I was not railing against NW's PvE. In fact I pretty much said the game does not require legendaries because it is so easy that all dungeons at their recommended GS are easily doable. I mentioned PvP glancingly because it is the one place where legendaries are a must thanks to how the game is put together. Gear more…
It's like Blizzard and Diablo 3 gold and RL money AH. Since Blizzard got a cut from the RL money AH they slowly nerfed every single gold making activity to stop players from using the gold AH. It worked. After a while only the HAMSTER items showed up for small upgrades requiring luck and grind…
Got this yesterday. Killed the white dragon, lost a few seconds with adds I had to kill before mounting up. Spent the next, around minute and a half, running from one dragon to the other and missing it by a few seconds. Out of five dragons I got one. Obvs my 80% mount is not good enough. A hearty LOL to the NW team who…
