It's almost like people live in different places, where Terms of Service get ordered differently. If only we had a keyboard shortcut to see if a cited clause also applies to us. Also, I like turtles.
I'd say the rumours of Trappers being dead are highly exagerated. Hell, I came out of a Cradle run a few hours ago with Scourge Warlock, Trickster Rogue and Trapper HR being the main DPS - with the Trapper being top damage - and the run was as smooth as any run. Maybe the problem is the people playing the Trappers.
The same patch I downloaded about two or three days ago to access Preview is now being patched for Live, while I accessed Live a few hours ago without having to patch. edit: and by same patch I mean the same size. A little under 5.4 gig for me.
Feedback: First off, I'm fond on this Trial. While the first three stages were rather trivial, as has been pointed out by the other people before me, the final stage - the actual boss fight - is challenging. The addition of a mechanic similar to that of the second boss in Spellplague, where you can get pushed off the…
Yeah, I would look for the answer in al-Hashashin's Covenant. Gotta love the forums auto-filter. At least you can pass it creatively, unlike our undeposable overlords.
Yeah, I fried my GPU so I'm stuck on my netbook doing other things. At first glance I thought your charts on Careful Attack were broken, but then I remembered Careful Attack doesn't proc any WE's. Also, if I read the charts right - like I said, I'm a total idiot when it comes to math - they're based on base critsev?
I mentioned this in an earlier thread - in General Discussions - but I'll recap for my Hunter brothers here. For active and summoned, I'll still be using my Sellsword. Her debuff is nice, and she's melee, which helps in the Turtle fight and the knocky-offy boss in SP. Her debuff has already been kind of nerfed, considering…
I think I royally screwed up my math there. Apologies, I have been drinking. The trend is still valid, though. Please refer to the link I posted. It'll allow you to calculate much more clearly, compared to my clouded, shoddy math.
Man, if only Feytouched worked properly for Hunter Rangers. I would be sooooo happy /craig. The reason Feytouched doesn't work properly on a Hunter Ranger has probably been explained in the video on YouTube you're referencing: the Weapon Enchant video by Sume. If not, I'll give you the short of it: Any encounter that…
My thoughts for next mod (as a DPS class) are like many have stated above: 1) Sellsword or equivalent for active. 2) Air Archon 3) Earth Archon 4) Siege Master 5) The new Dino pet that provides a 1% boost for every party member. +5% in total if every member has one. Now, I'm a bit reserved when it comes to the Dino.…
It'll take us two or three days before we find the balance between having enough ArP and maxing crit. I'm not sure why people are getting their panties in a bunch. It's pretty straightforward: Get your Crit and ArP sorted, and if you're running with any kind of power-sharing teammate, you're golden. Power is actually a…
Artifleur is right. CA behaves a lot like CritSev once you hit 100% crit, and calculating the improvement to your damage from CritSev is both easy and - often - disappointing.
The reflect damage is especially amusing when the effect procs on a mob that has Creeping Death stacks on it. I'd be running around, flailing my arms and screaming 'No, please, stop!' while I rather rapidly burn to death.
Compared to the original deafening silence and the "we've shot all dissenters, therefor there is no dissent", it certainly is quite an improvement that the thread is still open and they're issuing apologies + VIP.
I think I have to be with Dupeks on this one. Lockboxes are a cash-cow for Cryptic, and they need to get payed somehow for keeping the server up. With the current lockbox, the purple insignia's are about the only thing worth gambling for. I mean, an Artifact with a rather poor active bonus and no offensive stats? A mount…
Not only that, but that the legal system is class-based. Once you fall into the category of 'dedicated player', the evidence - which, like you said, doesn't have to be disclosed - is weighed differently. It's absolutely repulsive.
This is about as bad as the people trying to blame all the bad sides of Neverwinter on the 'whales'. We always need a bad guy. We always need to externalize the guilt. First it's the supposed 'whales' driving everything. Now it's the 'botters' - apparently everyone that's BiS, per an earlier comment - that have been…
Once again, we meet a player that completely missed the point of the entire thread. It's like they don't read, but just want to leave a diarrhea of words. You have examples of people that botted, and have been banned for doing so, and, after the fact try to legitimize their behaviour. That's great. But your logic is so…
But that's not at all what you did. You literally said 'Stop implying everyone that was banned and unbanned was a botter'. I didn't, and I'd like for you to stop EXPLICITILY saying that I did.
You completely misread my post. I suggest you try again and see if you get a better result. You might want to see who started this thread in the first place, while you're at it.
It's not just about the backers. Remember, an MMO thrives or dies with it's community, and that is even more important for a F2P MMO with mini-transactions. If no one has trust in the game or it's kulturkammer, no one will spend, and everyone will be out of a job. And the credibility of their evidence went out the window…
I'm sorry, but this is simply not good enough. I think you're underestimating the effect this has taken on the community, of which you are the manager. While the good-will on this matter is welcome - with strings attached, because moderators can once again, at a whim, degrade this topic to the lower depths - our concerns…
I'm fully aware the budget is short, and they're doing the best with what they can with very little. Kudo's to them. I'm still enjoying myself, even though I sometimes zone-out mentally to do the repetitive HAMSTER to ensure my progress. I was merely pointing out that their banfilter a hilariously smaller regard for their…
