  • Actually you know what? I figure you're building up to 100% AP every ~31 seconds based on the info you've posted. At 50% Uptime for Unstoppable, which is probably way more than you're getting, Unstoppable Action is a 2.1% damage gain. Surprisingly weak.
  • That's useful but I still need a sense of the uptime on Unstoppable with a Destroyer spec to determine the worth of Unstoppable Action. I know it depends on how much you get hit, but there has to be an average. Flank is Combat Advantage damage, the bonus you get while standing on the opposite side of an enemy to another…
  • Unstoppable Action is hard to quantify. What abilities do you use? Do you use them during unstoppable? How much Recovery do you have? What's your uptime on Unstoppable? Only if you have answers for all of that can I math the value of Unstoppable Action. Armor Specilization will give you way more Defense than Steely…
  • YES! Advanced tooltips would make life easier for poor theorycrafters especially. Also Enforced Threat gives you roughly 20% of your Guard Meter over 8 seconds (8 ticks of ~2.5%). Something as simple as that was extremely hard to work out and I have no idea if it scales with anything.
  • It wouldn't matter, I can take your numbers/recovery/wis and calculate the base gain. The real issue is that AP is gained in fractions of a point, but rounded off to a whole point on your AP bubble. Determining the fractions by repeatedly using the ability is the key. Some spells give a flat AP gain and some (i.e. Shield…
  • There's a potion you can buy with Celestial coins for +1 to all stats.
  • Yay! Trying stuff is fun. My question is, can a Sentinel with full DPS gear hold agro and still mitigate enough damage?
  • Good question. I have 18 Con (my GWF is experimental) and Constitution Focus. Took off all my ArPen gear. So my armor penetration is either 8% or 9.2%. Flaming Weapon isn't improve by Armor Penetration, so when I hit a Zombie Hulk I get 16% mitigation on Flaming Weapon in the combat log, and 6.8% mitigation with everything…
  • The Hit Point buff doesn't work, it doesn't even give hit points to any companion. The rest of the stats come across fine but I don't think they're affecting your Gear Score. That's why people spam in zone chat "10k GS + stone".
  • 1463 defense! Your formula is very very close to Railcar's numbers but not quite (0.1% off). I wonder what's going on there? Still it's closer than anything I can think of. So, does Daring Shout hit 25% as I've read elsewhere? I swear I'll test this....at some point. ;) If you find that you can alternate cleric circles,…
  • Well the first question is, do these effects show in the combat log? If you can see them as affecting your damage reduction then you can measure them pretty easily. The log shows the base damage and modified damage so you can quickly calculate the result. If not it will be difficult. Abilities that reduce damage often also…
  • Regen gives you a % of health lost up to 50% (Bloodied). So 10% regen actually maxes at 5% or your total health when you're below 50% health. This doesn't mean that you can't get more than 5% from having more regen, although I've personally never tested it.
  • I second this. Chances are you're using Shield and Steal Time anyway and slotting Chill Strike or Entangling Force into the Mastery slot. Archmage is hilarious with these, even if you're not using a control power in the last slot. +100% fun.
  • http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?301761-Calculating-stats-and-their-effects Regeneration Regeneration Tooltip = 20.77*Regeneration^1.3/(LevelConstant+Regeneration^1.3) % of Lost Health Regenerated Every 3 Seconds @ level 60 = 0.2077*Regeneration^1.3/(12938+Regeneration^1.3) Regeneration heals a % of the…
  • Yeah there's nothing that I'm aware of. The trick is to buy 4 +25% guys for some other profession, do the level 1 Mass Something for that profession to unlock the slot, then sell the guys again (they don't bind, and you can pass them between your characters to unlock everyones 100% speed slot).
  • It's true that there's nothing n that formula for the Rogues unique damage. (1+BonusFrom#OfPoints) refers to the number of points you've put in the ability (0 to 3), which typically give a 10% damage bonus per point. I would love to see that too, perhaps you could start testing some of these abilities?
  • Thanks for this. I dont suppose you feel like testing the AP gain of abilities too? XD
  • ThreeRavens post gives you the gist of it, and the things I've worked out are here: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?301761-Calculating-stats-and-their-effects
  • Here's some fun Defense facts! 3000 Defense is 32.3% + Armor Class 3500 Defense is 34% + Armor Class 4000 Defense is 35.4% + Armor Class You get a 15% bonus from Armor Specialization e.g. 42% * 1.15 = 48.3%. This feat does work, it just doesn't show on the character screen. Shield Defense gives 2.5% more damage reduction,…
  • I'm only suggesting that for Ohman for the setup he described. 18% or 20% is what I'm personally aiming for, depending how how it works out with my gear. I could extend the graph but what would be the point? You'd need about 16,000 power for it to drop below 4000 Recovery.
  • Well then get enough Recovery to enable the add pushing, Armor Penetration to 24% (since all your DPS is on the boss) and use the chart to balance Crit with Power.
  • Nightmare Wizardry yes, Phantasmal Destruction and Vorpal Enchant no. That's good advice and can be achieved with a couple of different starting setups. 18/13/13 Teifling can become 26/17/19 (I/W/C) for example. If you're getting perma black hole I supposed that additional bonuses to control are redundant.
  • Yeah it helps keep you topped up and takes some pressure of the Cleric, but it's not going to save your life in a bad situation because you'll either be stunned or teleporting like mad. Defense and Bonus Health will save you from big damage bursts, Regen is best if you're kiting things for a while, and Life Steal lets you…
  • I'm building a full calculator so it's difficult to break down everything that's going on in there, but basically the 0.49% has come from the Encounter Cooldown Reduction on Int. Faster Encounters means faster Dailies but a reduced number of At-Will attacks so you're not getting a 100% damage increase. Additionally that…
  • You're not seeing any difinative numbers because nobody has ever worked them out..... Lucky for you I'm building a damage and control calculator right now, here's some preliminary numbers: 1 Int = 1.49% damage, 0.61% control 1 Cha = 0.85% damage, 0% control 1 Wis = 0.63% damage, 1.93% control Of course that assumes that…
  • Well tell me this guys, what fights do you find are the hardest and what do you do in those fights?
  • Not sure where you got 4.17% from, but Armor Penetration is nearly 50% better than Power at the 2536 point cap. Doing two thirds of your damage to the boss? Go for 2536 Armor Penetration. Doing half your damage to the boss? Armor Penetration drops below power at 2100 points (or 2227 if your only other targets are at 22%…
  • The reason ArPen drops so fast is that you hard cap a larger and larger percentage of your targets. Realistically it's value depends on your play style and the fight. If you're doing Spell Plague end boss and knocking stuff off the ledge the whole fight, only Recovery matters. If you're doing Frozen Heart end boss and…
  • Same results ~16.6% damage boost from CA with a character that has 21 Charisma. You can subscrube to threads to make them easier to find, look under thread tools near the top of this page. Click on User CP at the top of the forum to see subscribed threads.
