You're doing it wrong. You can get the gloves from any epic encounter. Ancestral Ceremony, Polar Bear Round Up, Yeti Rampage, etc.

Yeah, I'm going to completely disagree with this. These rings are super HAMSTER good if you switch out some of your other gear. The hardest thing for most people to swallow is losing their 4 piece profound bonus to capitalize on this, but there are better combos out there that incorporate this jewellery.

Opening a ton of lockboxes has never really been a profitable thing to do compared to just buying AD off the zen exchange and certainly not in the last month or so where a dollar of real currency is getting you almost 50k AD. There is a good point here about the in game AD sinks being over priced. I have over 6 million AD on my character and I could do things like say, upgrade my companions, but I won't, because it's way too freaking expensive for the benefit provided. It's actually quite generous if you ask me, even if you had a full 6 pieces going at full T3 power, if you used salves (and you get a free 20% one every day) you'd probably only spend a few hundred black ice doing a normal instance. No you don't. This is special task that comes up for the team during the black ice domination if your side didn't win the motherload. It's not at all related to the instruments of vengeance questline.

1500 processed black ice is enough to fuel 1 piece of armor at T3 for about 7 hours or so, longer if you are using salves. So... you do the math on how much you need. Like the guy above said, gauntlets are the limiting factor. I have 3 now so that I can mass process enough ice while I am offline to keep myself playing.

No one is landing a 20k IBS on a "tanky" DC, at least without massive debuffs and the DC already being low on life. Seconding this. It's absolutely weekly. I got it before the weekly reset and then after the weekly reset and not once in between or after and I've killed far more corrupted dwarves doing dailies and encounter than is healthy. I'm certain that when the reset comes along in a couple of days, I'll get it to drop again.

It works now in the latest patch. I managed to get a few doubles and some triples in both domination and GG. I think the timer is kind of flakey however - not really consistent it appears.
