It has range similar to Impact Shot, yet does more damage (on average) with a small AOE. Animation time is similar. Crits with it are not affected by vorpal, however.
The basic problem, as I see it, is that the TR is a striker, a class type that in any other MMO would make him/her a squish, single target DPS god, like they were in beta. In order to keep said massive single target damage dealer from quickly and effortlessly killing any other class they could get a hold of in PVP, they…
Still broken two and a half weeks later. Would be better to "roll back" the "exploit fix" for non-epic dungeons than to keep it like this. Dungeon running has ground to a halt, no one wants to run a dungeon anymore.
That's part of he problem with this game.....people who started playing just a couple of months ago (ahem, Mxtime), who think they know something about the game and consider pvp important in some way, rather than the daycare that it is (and I'm quoting directly from zonechat). Neverwinter is primarily a PVE game. That is…
Consider pairing back to fewer characters/toons, and consolidating your enchant heap. Honestly, you can only play one character at a time anyway, so why have 6? It is not really addressing the issue, I know, but it is something of a work around for the time being. Honestly, I think we all know that prices are only going to…
Correct. None of the "bonuses" to combat advantage from high CHR or underhanded tactics have any real affect, since they are multiplicative (based on the +15% CA extra damage) rather than additive. I've got another post on how it works in another thread. It has been broken for over a year, and hence will not be fixed.…
Extensive guild testing has confirmed this bug, and it has been around for over a week at least (since 7-17-14). Any given player A in any given epic dungeon B will always get loot C from the chest, assuming it even opens. One particular player now has 26 of the same ring, all collected in the last week.
It is still broken as of Thursday evening. Spell plague chests failed to unlock for anyone in the party two of two runs (both during DD, and yes, we had the key as well). Even tried the "fix" suggested above (page 1), no success. CN runs had a chest that could be opened half the time (1 of 2 attempts). So as of present, I…
I'd add to that DF bleed tick rates and stacking have been nerfed, along with Lashing Blade's damage, Impact shot's damage, Lurker's Assault's duration and damage boost effect (down 60%), Cloud of Steel's number of knives (down 33%), Deadly Momentum (in open beta added 75% crit severity...then reduced to 25%, now 15%), the…
Rayrdan is correct, the +% combat advantage bonus you get from stacking CHR is multiplicative, not additive. I.e. Combat advantage bonus damage (+15% * your CHR bonus% = 15.HAMSTER%). So at 20 CHR, you get 16.5% combat advantage damage (15% + 10% of 15%), rather than the usual 15% (at 10 CHR).
After 16 months of playing the same TR (my main character), and I sadly have to agree with you. Our general desireabilty and utility to a group has continued to fall away, and with new classes rising to fill whatever stage space was once left to us there is very little future for the TR on the horizon without major…
I would add that after more testing, mainly me beating up on my old Icewind Dale adversaries the trolls and hammerstone dwarves for a hour, the overall sequence of DF is exactly as long in duration as it was before. (~4.1 seconds). The flurry is a hair shorter, the 2nd stroke (w/delay) a hair longer.
Many, many times (have the whole purified set from there now). A TR is not needed to run Kessel's Retreat....even 5 DC's can do it. My point was much simpler and direct - The TR, as it stands today, has no "primary mission" in Neverwinter.
There is nothing the TR does presently that another class does not do better, i.e. they now bring nothing to the (PVE) party. We do not heal, do not tank, do not draw aggro, do not buff, do not debuff, can not control mobs, have no real AOE's, and are frequently outdamaged by other classes (CW, GWF). The one remaining…
65 runs was the average to get the pet, based on aggregated data we collected from multiple players running the CTA, which was the most boring, longest one to date.
Finally got my mainhand dagger from the Beholder in DV last night. Arrived first, released him, got in periodic hits with WR, LB, and DF during the lengthy encounter to follow. Didn't get killed, picked up half a dozen other folks. Wailed on adds when not on boss. Profit. This was like my ~60th Beholder run. Keep at it,…
I stand corrected, thank you Rayrdan. Perhaps it is Wicked Reminder's cooldown that should be looked at exclusively then, since that is what I am looking at regarding cooldown times. Tooltip says 3.2 seconds (with zero recovery bonus). But even with my +23% recovery rate, it now takes a full "four tick count" (by my analog…
I can confirm that that the animation sequence for TR's Duelist's Flurry seems to have a hiccup in it, namely between the 2nd strike and the followup Flurry sequence itself. There is a pregnant pause, a delay, longer than previously (i.e. live version), and during which time the rogue cannot move or change direction/target…
Yep, confirmed the following observations: 1) First strike is exactly the same as before. Can still move a bit afterward, seems about the same distance to me. Same duration. 2) Second strike has a pause delay at the end, before the flurry. Overall time from start to flurry is now slightly longer than before. Can no longer…
I'd personally like to see the last 4-5 TR nerfs rolled back, back to the point that single target DPS leading glass cannon builds (ahem, what a striker class is supposed to be and already is in virtually every other MMO on the planet) were once again not only viable, but popular with PVE dungeon parties. Right now, no one…
