Crazy how these posts pop up when I've experienced the frustration first hand last night. I play CW as a main and GF as an alt and running with a group build up of 2 TR, 1 CW, 1 DC and myself as GF inside Epic Mad Dragon this very debate came into play. Now I agree there are scenarios where Ice Storm is useful and I also…
I think its intended to increase the duration, however I never use it so I couldn't even say that it actually works. Honestly I'm running the build outlined in @copticone signature, I love it great dps and lots of control. I'd direct you to read that guide its very informative.
The beauty of chill is once its broken you just reapply and they are frozen again, its very useful to keep adds gathered up in an area which allows your tank(s) to regain or establish aggro mix in some arcane singularity and icy terrain and mobs are less likely to scatter around the room
Just my 2 cents here but I fail to see the separation between control and damage. Its very easy to be both, I generally slot Conduit of Ice in mastery, with shield, icy terrain, and steal time, and Arcane singularity as my daily and rarely do I not top the dmg charts all the while fully in control of mobs
Up until recently I never dropped a pvp match, but when my team members decide to go hang out on the upper passes and bridges and attempt to feed their kill score I finally had enough and will quit every match that lacks team players
These post are laughable, I play both GF and TR and have won some and lost some. Bottom line GF are one trick ponies. If you get sucked into playing the GF's game you will lose, so don't play their game. Learn to exploit their obvious weaknesses ie: kite them, get out of their frontal cone and slow the fight down. Rogues…
It all boils down to player skill level. GF have a great advantage over players that make mistakes...and most of them do, or just out rite are unskilled. As a lvl 60 GF with pvp gear only, and no enchants on my gear I am able to do decently in pvp because I practice my skills and understand my weaknesses. Enchants…
