  • I've been maining a TR since beta...and picked it up because dual wielding was, is, and always will be cool. Lately though I've been finding it frustrating to play since I do a lot of solo PvE stuff and the devs seem to have a hard on for swarming you with hard hitting, easy to aggro enemies that have AoE that the AI…
  • This is probably the most likely way we'll be able to get this fixed even if it's the worst solution of those proposed, so I'm going to give it my tentative support. I personally think that if any of this junk is bound it should be account bound only, but I honestly don't see why it should be bound at all. Yes I know the…
  • It's highly unlikely that they're going to adjust the drop tables on lockboxes. The VIP system has almost certainly been in the works for a while now so if any lockboxes were going to have lower drop rates for the really good stuff we'd have heard about it at least a lockbox previous to the Crushing Wave, more likely two…
  • Well of Dragons has no entry requirements as far as I know so you don't have to fight through a bunch of people to get to the merchant and trade it in for campaign currencies. There's also an out of the way corner of Protector's Enclave that has a group of elves from New Sharandar. I think there's a merchant you can trade…
  • 1,000 times this. *has been applying this philosophy to life in general for more than 10 years, has rarely been disappointed*
  • To me it sounded more like he wanted to make sure this is by design so he doesn't run afoul of Cryptic's error clean ups, that while appreciated in concept do have a tendency to be heavy-handed and painful for a lot of people who weren't exploiting.
  • There's also a campfire buff that gives you +1 to all attribute scores. You get it just by going and standing on the campfire. Also the invocation buffs give buff to those scores as well, IIRC.
  • Actually it's only random up to a point. After that point (no, I don't know what the point is, but I suspect it's once you've unlocked all the recipes that are available up to that point, though those do seem to be completely random as to whether or not you unlock one) you start getting the scrolls of alchemical knowledge…
  • I got one and it sucks. Although that may be because I never upgraded its quality. Then again I had never even had close to enough AD until recently so...yeah. On the whole I found last year's Winter Event to be horribly grindy and not the least bit fun :(
  • TBH, all the gear you have to grind for like that needs set bonuses even if they're watered down - like two piece gives you +225 to GS and four piece gives you another +225 for a total that is only equal to the two set of a DD or other random drop 2-piece. Though I think it would best if they just copied the set bonuses…
  • Best guess is that people are running to the Well of Dragons instead of doing the instances because they can get enough (or almost enough) to do their daily grinds from the Well of Dragons dailies and why shouldn't they? Well of Dragons is a single (admittedly large) instance and if you can get all your stuff from that one…
  • I had some difficulty with the camera, but other than needing a few potions my Scoundrel build MI TR didn't have that much difficulty murdering him.
  • I actually noticed this myself the last time I was leveling a character and playing Skirmishes along the way. What it is, is that they've given each queue a level. If you haven't reached that level you're bumped up to that level when you enter in. I've no idea what the reasoning is other than, perhaps, to keep a higher…
  • I have a "better" idea. Set all skirmishes to the same loot mode as the CTA events. (Better is, of course, a matter of personal opinion)
  • In total agreement. The gameplay is the reason I've not left the game completely at any point since I started playing. Even with my *****ing about AoE spam at higher levels I can still have fun with the game and enjoy it. I even play PvP and I am rather notorious amongst my friends for my disdain for that gameplay mode,…
  • That is NOT what I am saying. What I am saying is that with the exception of greener than grass players - something a guy with a 19k+ GS clearly isn't - you know exactly what you're getting into when you go and queue into a PuG. A random group that runs the gamut guys who might not know their mouse from their keyboard to…
  • If you're so upset with the matchmaking in the game then stop running PuGs. Find a community where you can put together premade teams to do whatevery the hell it is you're doing. When you PuG it's a roll of the dice and generally the only people running public queues are those who either don't give a <font…
  • Having seen some actual documentaries about various tribes that still live in a non-modern fashion (I hesitate to call it primitive because some of the stuff they do is actually pretty impressive) I would contest that the ceremonial leathers are not stripperific, but are in fact reminiscent of ceremonial outfits used by…
  • Thought of another thing I'd like to see. Dungeons - or maybe a new multiplayer mode - that focuses more on exploration and having skill checks than it does on "Kill all the trash mobs, survive the boss's endless adds, and piling on the damage to bring down the final boss's HP as quickly as possible. For an example when I…
  • I like the "PvP equipment" slot idea, and as for Tenacity reworking - why not add Armor Reinforcement Kits that add Tenacity to the PvP stores along side adding a new enchantment that adds Tenacity + "Stat" in the same way as the Cruel/Brutal/Savage enchantments from the CTA events instead? It wouldn't require a system…
  • I want to see a class that punches things added to the game. Because we're getting the mother of all dragons (pun intended) in the game with five faces all just begging to be punched in.
  • Because by the time you reach the last set of daily unlocks (Assist the Zentarim) you pretty much do have to do all five dragons per day. Unless of course you don't care about unlocking the Skirmish, Dungeon, or Boons. And if that's the case...why are you even bothering with ToD anyway?
  • Not sure how they'd manage it, if they even can, but have the timer for respawn something like a flat 10-15 minutes from the time the Dragon is killed. No matter if it dies in the first sixty seconds of the encounter or if an under-strength team takes it down to the wire and puts it down with only a single second left on…
  • The answer I recall was actually more along the lines of "There aren't any plans to do so at this time, but if there's enough demand for it we may do so later."
  • That and the bags in the Zen shop are one-off purchases. The Dragonhoard bag is an account wide. Now if you're just running two or three characters that's not a big deal. Me? I'm running...oh about eight right now. And even if I play some of them infrequently I do play all of them. Not one of those characters is a…
  • That pet? It's not Dragon Coins - it's Silvery Dragon Scales which are only available from the Lockbox. No amount of "just playing" will get you that pet, you've got to spend zen on keys to open boxes for a chance at getting the scales, to get the pet. In point of fact Dragon Coins in and of themselves are useless. They…
  • If you really, really want it be prepared for a long wait as you need at least some rather difficult (one might almost say too difficult) to get achievements such as a minimum number of Five Star reviews and max tips on your own Foundry creations. There just aren't enough other achievements for you to manage it without…
  • Hate to add to the complaint chain but I have to agree with a lot of the sentiment expressed here. I've more or less abandoned the whole damned campaign even if I keep telling myself I'll get back to it. It's just not worth it to me - not when Sharandar and Dread Ring are both more fun and more rewarding. ToD was literally…
  • Never heard of this. Then again, I've never really done a whole lot with the AH so not surprising.
  • What do you mean "spending limit"? So far as I'm aware this game doesn't have spending limits (beyond actually having the currency to spend of course). The AD refining cap is set to 24k from the word go - you can't refine any more AD as a Level 60 than you can as a level 1 - it's just until you reach level 60 you're…
