You must be new to free-to-play games. This behavior is completely and totally normal. Bugfixing typically takes a distant back seat to producing new content to bring in new customers with. By the time the bugs drive away existing customers, new content will be ready for release that will draw in new customers to replace…
Does it make me a terrible human being if I don't revive these people when they kill themselves? How much more distance did you have in mind, I wonder?
When I was a newbie, I used a lot of Split Shot. The other powers didn't seem to have the same strength. Then I learned that parties freaking hate HRs because they spam split shot, attract all the aggro, run all around the room and finally die. I haven't relied on Split Shot for anything since. If you check my post…
I think the devs have the much bigger fish of "there are some really overpowered classes destroying the game for everyone but themselves" to fry before they start frying the "there are underpowered classes, too" fish.
Thus do the masses show their ignorance. OP is a roleplayer, and from what I can tell he's a fairly strict one at that. That's not to say there aren't RP-friendly ways of handling Dread Ring, but the both of you display the typical arrogant ignorance the internet is famous for. Especially you, Asmodeus. People play this…
Forgive me if this sounds bitter or unpleasant, but I have to admit I'm a little disappointed that Split Shot isn't being nerfed to the point where a large number of HRs are forced to learn that their class has other powers. I was really looking forward to an era of HRs who actually have at least half an idea how to play…
I'm looking at the female tiefling options right now, and I'm actually pretty impressed. They've added a lot of new horn options including two completely new styles that didn't exist before. The horns also definitely look better now.
I agree with everything the OP says, except #11. Neverwinter needs to take the "individual loot drops" from Skirmishes and apply it to Dungeons as well. No more loot rolling whatsoever, everyone needs to get their own individual drops - including the boss drops. If this means reviewing the droprate for things, then so be…
Actually, it was an amazing joke when it was current. The video was really great just by itself and then all the people spamming about dragons and complaining and crying was just icing on the cake.
I don't run dungeons because :terriblecommunity: but I do run skirmishes often enough. In those sorts of situations, I assign myself to silencing/CCing whatever everyone else is attacking and dealing with adds that have gotten interested in someone they shouldn't have. If there's no cleric, I'll re-slot nature skills for…
Why does anyone think they're going to add it to Domination? Where did that even come from? Icewind PvP and Domination PvP are two completely different animals.
It could just be that Dwarves are specifically resistant only to those forms of CC while halflings are resistant to all forms of CC. GFs have powers and feats that are modified by whether or not the target is affected by the GF's control powers. I haven't looked at my GF's power sheet lately, but I'm only aware of GFs…
Anything that forcibly restricts your movement is CC. Prone restricts your movement. Prone is CC. Tenacity was supposed to increase your resistance to being CC'd and reduce prone durations. As you can probably tell, Tenacity wasn't the home-run solution for PvP that Cryptic had hoped it would be.
Maybe it's just the EVE player in me speaking, but choices should have consequences. If you choose to make a character with terrible starting stats, the consequence for that is subpar performance and/or the need to compensate for those stats/roll a new character. Anyone who is "hardcore" enough at this - or any other -…
Two points: First point - How do you know what I do or don't do? Short answer: You've made it quite clear that you don't. I stalk the RPers when I'm bored, but I don't RP myself. I enjoy PvP enough to justify having a full set of PvP gear, but it's not the only thing I do in the game and I'm certainly not about to go…
You aren't being forced to sit at a campfire or spend gold. You aren't being forced to participate in Icewind PvP at all. You can continue to work on your Tier 2 or your Black Ice gear without having to do any Icewind PvP whatsoever.
Right, because only PvP players know what they're talking about and a PvE-centric game should only be balanced around PvP. Proneification, you are the most blatant troll in the history of trolling and I do hope you get over yourself soon. Anyway.. 1) Disagree 2) Disagree 3) Absolutely not.
Your reward for killing someone in PvP is that they now have to spend gold on a kit/wait 3 mins at a fire and (given this community) are probably raging at their keyboard about the fact. Sounds decent to me.
A recurring problem is that when game devs say "we're going to do this" or "we want to do that" or "this is how we see [that] behaving under ideal circumstances", the community of that game tends to react poorly. Some will assume that the devs have made promises that this or that will happen at the very next patch and…
