i agree it was a huge disappointment
especially since the event has a timer, and a lot of us probably won't be able to make that much AD in one week

    too bad

The event was aimed to make the whales fatter by allowing them a chance at an asset with time limited avaibility and high base price, so they can overcharge even more. Chicken is the new Emblem.

Holy Hanna, that's insane! I had dreams of having my pig join my chicken in grand breakfast adventures. But not at that cost. 24$ for a single chance is beyond excessive.

I lol'd at the price. However it does equate to a 2400 zen sale so for a purple companion its on par with the rest and may do its intended purpose in injecting ad into the market. It's just that it's not that viable for spending AD directly. If you're planning on doing it, might as well do it now just in case zen does fall. On the plus side the cockatrice seems like it'd be good in open pvp and the stone obviously has it's use.

1.2M good that we had time to prepare ourselfs for such price..... owwwwwwww.... that's right, we didn't.... we only new (and not everyone) that there will be an mysterious egg with chicken or coacatrice in it... well until next time perhaps I'll have 1.2M... and know I will need it
PS if you were thinking "AD sink" by putting this price then you failed, chickens and coacatrice are being sold for double the egg price (at least)

I don't even want a chicken I'd like to have a cockatrice purely for it's looks, seeing as my ioun is my main companion (well of course in my heart lillend is my main) , but I ain't paying the money i don't even have for what i'd technically only be using as a fashion/roleplay item lmao

Why am I not surprise? lol...smh....very typical of them.

The chicken has only 1 stat (power), so even if I have the AD to buy an egg, I will not.

I am very disappointed in Dev, PWE, Criptic and everyone else. I was about to buy 4000 zen this morning for keys and open lock boxes, until I was reminded of the chicken eggs. So I waited, now I will not be doing neither.

Yeah that is errm... a tad excessive.

Especially for an item that does not appear to be much better than anything you can get for a lot less than that. That better be one Fn spectacular Chicken...

But you know what they say... a fool and his money...

So I wondering. Do you at least get one of the pets out of the egg every time. Or is there a random chance to completely whiff and get nothing or some minor bauble?

according to the wording on the news article you have a 100% chance to get a companion, and according to cayapp you have 10% chance to get the augment one (chicken)

Wondrous Bazaar price of blue pets is over 800k AD, right?

What did you all expect for a purple one (even if it is a random purple pet)?

and they both come preequipped with a lesser bonding runestone.

1.2 is about where I expected them to price this given the price of blue companions in the bazaar.

I do believe any companion you now buy has that. ( not checked them all)

    Well Looking closer at it,

If its a 90% chance to get the Cockatrice, then its actually priced right. That's an Epic Pet with some good Active Bonus on it. And worth about that much if you bought a Purple Companion in the Zen Market.

And right now its 500AD to one Zen so it comes out about the same.

I actually thought it was a good price...like said previously, if you convert the AD to Zen you'd be paying about the same for a purple companion in the shop. Also it functions as a decent AD sink for those with heaps of AD and who are willing to try their luck at getting a chicken, which is good in my opinion.

It's been added to every Zen store companion purchase. I'd assume you don't get them with companions purchased with game currencies. (But I'll gladly buy a dozen wererats if you do.)

Yea. It's not that bad for a 100% chance at a purple pet. I was a bit scrambled, and it lead me to be a bit fowl initially.
