Can't PvE because players don't try to clear dungeon, instead exploit and fail.

I find that quite insulting. Some, maybe. "for the most part suck" implies something very very negative about the majority of your fellow players.

Edit (@ chocobofarmer): can't comment about the T2 dungeons, but not sure what the rest of those figures are trying to say; especially without qualification or further citation/corroboration. 45-90 (a difference of 100% on the low end) hardly help, sorry. Up to and including dread vault I know reasonably well. A good group, not exploiting and I rarely take more than an hour. Tops.

Most of my fellow players are named bighairyone, madebritneygag, or didurmomhard they hit the Dungeons and immediately launch into a homophobic or racist rant. If you identify with these wastes of skin feel free to be insulted.

Quite simply there is something negative about the majority of my fellow players at least the majority I have ran into public queues, it's why I recommend making online friends.

Folks like that get reported by me. I don't put up with it, nor do I associate with them. That said, back when the queue wasn't filled with exploiters, I met some very nice folks - alas, many of my Neverwinter online friends simply aren't online at the same time as I (and more than a few have left the game), thus the need for the queue system. Telling people to "make friends" is not only unhelpful, but also makes incorrect assumptions about them.

No one is telling you to make friends if you can't at this stage in your life you have larger issues...what I'm pointing out that groups of like minded people are best to run dungeons with.

Complaining that someone isn't playing how you want them to is superfluous.

everyone needs to stop blaming each other. no responsible company allows exploitable content to remain Live for months on end. The burden is on cryptic to release exploit free content.

The answer is not to release exploitable content and expect the players "to follow the rules". The answer is for the game company to take pride in their product and thoroughly test it before release. If content after release is found to be exploitable, it should be removed immediately.

Absolutely. I don't see how these game developers can even look at themselves in the mirror and think they have done even a half way decent job with this game. I would be ashamed and embarassed to put my name on this HAMSTER.

    Hello Everyone,

I'm not going to say to much in this thread, except this, you got the people who want to at least try to clear everything in a dungeon, I am one of these players as well I want to go in and play and fight along the way, for me when I get to the end I myself will have a sense of accomplishment.

Now I'm not in a guild and I grouped very little in this game except with a few close friends ( Like-minded Play Styles ), we did 5 man dungeons and went through them and some were good runs others were not, That's the game, you can't expect to come out on top all of the time. The only thing I can say to those players like myself, when we find those like-minded players out there put them in your friends list.

To the other players out there that decide to blast through everything by any means they can, use what-ever loop hole they can, to do something quicker. You will have your reasons for doing it, ok, but then you and people who have your style of play, but you'll complain about PWE basically shooting themselves in the foot by diminishing the player base, but those that have your play style are shooting yourself in the foot because instead of just coming on and playing and enjoying it, you come on and blast through all the content, then get yourself all geared, farm quests constantly to put stuff on the A.H..

Now what do you have to do, nothing, because your geared, probably got lots of A.D/Zen, and via the constant farming/exploiting have the market flooded with items that only the other exploiters or players with a Gazillion A.D. can afford and you complain about nothing to do for end game content because your all so Uber.

I'm not sure what type of worker you are in real life but, the way I see it, if this is the way you are going to play any game you decide to try out, the Developers will never have the time to produce good quality/Bug free content because...instead of most of the players, enjoying and playing their way to end game, you/they are short cutting/exploiting their way to engame.

How could a Designer keep up with that and produce anything worth while, under you current style of play...they(Designers) would have had to have Mods done 2 years in advance JUST to keep up with exploitative play styles.

I didn't mean for this to be too long so I'll end it here....

    Cheers!

All T2 dungeons can be done with 9k GS within 45 mins with people who know how to play, period. There is NO WAY it takes up to 3h unless you're so bad that you need 10 mins to kill a poor maw or a magma giant. :) Such monsters are down in 20s with the right rotation.

It's not about gear either, it's just about having the right spell rotation.

So, it's just people not willing to play the game, and they ruin the game for people willing to play it.

So true. If Cryptic wants to release a poorly tested, sub-par product, they can. If they want to try to screw over their customers by making the best weapons P2W, they can. If I want to run DDs as efficiently as possible, I can.

If you love to run DDs as slowly as possible, good for you. Find some like-minded players and have a blast! More power to you. However, keep in mind that not everyone has your mindset, and some of us like running DDs faster.

This is why people willing to play the game will ask cryptic over and over to fix content once and for all. When they say "oh it's fixed" in the patch notes, it is NEVER fixed. It's up to people enjoying the game to harass cryptic until they find a definitive fix with harsh punitive mechanics if you skip too much stuff. It's not normal to force players to do the police job inside dungeons because some want to cheat and some others don't. And it's not normal to have broken public queues because people skip first bosses and leave useless instances to people using the queue.

Yes, the devs need to address the exploits.

No, just because you *can* exploit doesn't make it right or correct.

No one is saying you have to completely sterilize a map of all enemies - there are groups you obviously have to defeat in order to progress, and then there are groups that you can simply avoid without exploiting, and still progress in the map.

A team that works together, that stays together and watches each others backs and communicates, will do well. A disjointed group that just dashes past enemies and uses exploits will really just wrack up several injury kits' worth of expenses. People are so obsessed with watching the clock that they forget to actually play...

That's the great irony, eh? Those that exploit so often get it in their head that that's that "normal" way to run dungeons, and almost think there's no other way. These people also tend to be GS snobs and will ragequit because the team doesn't have the exact makeup they expect or if someone doesn't use the exact power loadout they expect...

That's why I bypass the queue altogether and run dungeons with friends, guildmates, or gather up a group from Zonechat. I get like-minded people that way and have fun (yes, even when Spellplague takes 3 hours), and nobody cares that my DC isn't a healbot or that my CW isn't on the thaumaturge or renegade path. It's worked through the game up to now and I'm hoping it will still work when I start running epics on my DC, but then again based on how the Protector's Enclave Zonechat looks for those I'm probably hoping for too much....

Hey, the whole community isn't bad -- there are plenty of cool and pleasant players around, and they're probably the vast majority of everybody in the game. It's just the type of exploiters in this thread that everyone notices and gets frustrated over.

I liken the whole situation to how people view speeding - it gets so ingrained in people's minds that they look at you funny when you say "how about not speeding".

Only, IMO, the use of exploits goes contrary to people who want to NOT cheat... whereas you can just stay in the right lane so people that want to speed can pass you, (well it's the right lane here in the US anyway).

Oh you mean like those people who pass me on a two-lane road at 15 MPH above the limit, only to make a left turn a little ways up the road and make me wait behind them for oncoming traffic to clear when I only wanted to go straight? ;)

It's irritating but it doesn't have to ruin your day. Well, unless everyone's doing it, but I would hope not everyone is doing it.

Oppressor is way more fun a path to go down! but seriously I'm getting tired of it too, can't say I've been perfect and never done some of these stupid runs, but They are not fun. Actually clearing the dungeon is what is fun.

The problem is that exploiting became this game's meta. If you don't fit into this - other people will refuse to team up with you or speaking of duengon finding system - leave. I have seen many times 2-3 party members fighting trash mobs, me included, with the rest running forward without saying anything, resulting in an unpleasant wipefest. A complete joke on creators of PvE system is that no one will ever ask you about your dps level, whether you have defeated bosses in the instance before or what is your knowledge of boss tactics (which practically don't exist) but instead - how well you can cheat and how much money you spent on your gear (GS). This game doesn't have - like some people said when I started playing it - no 60th level content - there is a lot of such content but it's bugged and poorly designed, with a terrible checkpoint system (campfires) and impossibility to have a replacement after 1st boss as a complete deal breaker for PUGs, while they should be a main target of a 5 man based PvE.

Also, cryptic is aware of all dungeon exploits.... I personly already sent tickets explaining how people pass thru bosses but seems they dont rly care.

As far as i know the only T2 dungeon that doesnt have any "exploits" is spider, all others are exploitable... Karr, FH, spellplague and OFC castle never.

While cryptic dont fix them there will always be people exploiting it :/ If people dont want to skip toon of mobs and stay in a dungeon 3h then.... good for u.

I trully want cryptic to fix all the exploits, that means less people will be able to do T2 dungeons and for me thats great coz T2 gear will be more rare and i will able to sell them at AH for much more AD than it is now :P

I don't know, but I imagine they're slow to do anything because they're having a hard time figuring out how to make all dungeons exploit-proof without ruining it for everyone else. There's got to be a lot for them to consider -- layout, difficulty, etc.

Sadly, you are wrong as i found out the hard way the other day.
I have less and less interest in this game, although i find it really enjoyable. It is a shame, i want to play and support it but all endgame content seems to be broken and on top of that an atmosphere has developed where exploiting is the norm. It's sad when just the other day i got invited into a group for a T2 run and i mentioned that i won't be part of any exploits or glitches and the other guy believed i was kidding, that i couldn't possibly be for real. I had the fealing the thought of a legit run never evn occured to him and to many. Really sad state of a pretty fun game.

But it is possible to fix dungeons, if you have to kill X% of the npcs inside the dungeon to make the final boss spawn, or make Y total damage, then it's just a matter of (a lot) of coding and choosing a X or a Y for every dungeon. It is definitely possible to make terrain glitches worthless. Trying to fix every hole is indeed pointless, thus, they need something to make some clearing mandatory. It will make the game better for everyone, except the same 5 people complaining about adds on the forums. :P
