i like how they are dealing with the whole thing, people should be more respectful PWI is doing its best so plz stop whining about everything i am not a PWI fanboi and this is the first game i have played from PWI. and btw if you played Diablo 3 and see what blizzard made in response to exploits which was absolutely NOTHING not even a rollback and not a single refund you will know that PWI is really working on it and doing something that other big companies failed to do
SO unfortunetly, I farmed 3 pieces of epic PVP gear during the rollback window. I get that you are sending every player a thank you pack, but Im doubting it will come close to about 5 hours of constant glory farming and more. Cant glory be refunded for that 7 hour window? Lets face it, these thank you packs are a nice touch, but I'm assuming I wont find 3 epic pieces in there. Given the fact that this was time spent farming, people that jkust reached 60 and startesd to farm are GREATLY disadvantaged by this rollback, whereas players whove been high level longer probably had a lot less to lose. Personaly, this is why a complete wipe should have been the option used. Only way to make sure nobody lost more then other people did. I'm sorry, but a few greens and blues in a thank you pack will probably all end up vendored. Yet, reimboursing glory seems like a plausible course of action.. at least thatll help out the pvpers who lost an enormous amount of time farming for nothing. So, my suggestion:
-wipe for everyone, everyone starts out again
- if glory can be refunded, that will save alot of woes
- that 'thank you' pack should the most mesmerising thing ive ever seen (it wont be, it cant be... if every player in the realm gets a bunch of free epics... yeah, that aint happening).
- next time this happens, shut down the servers asap... dont let us waste progress for a whole day.
Im trying to keep my cool, but this is fairly enraging. I understand this is a beta, but canceling a whole day of major progress is unacceptable (I just went from a 7K GS to 5k. All heroics blocked, etc).
I shouldn't have to actually search to find something like this.
Common sense.
Its not in the Launcher because its bad PR and Cryptic is trying to hide how unprofessional and incompetent they really are. But infact... they just proof EXACTLY that when you dont see this top of news and part of the launcher.
Unprofessional and incompetent dev crew is exactly what we are seeing.
i have this problem fatal error: Unavble to initialize on demand and connect to Patch server: the connection was idle for too long
can you check it please?
I lost celestial coins. They zeroed out on both my characters. I know for a fact that I had more then zero on both of them and more then just one. My lowbie character was approaching seven coins and my higher level had at least three.
Down time does not pause the coin's count downs. I suggest a pause on coin timers during maintenance and server down time due to that fact.
Remember as well, if you invoked during that 7 hour period, it did not 'count'. Pausing the coins till after the player logs in (not just till after maintenance is completed) is the course I suggest due to the fact the time each of us has to play may fall only during that down time on any given day.

You logged in around 24 hours after you last invoked and reset your timer.
That was in the period that was rolled back. The servers came back up and it was too long after that when you came back in so the total game time elapsed was over the limit and you lost them. File a ticket and see if they'll restore them.
Well HAMSTER. I didn't even think of that. -_- Good suggestion. Thanks.
"Q: What about ZEN I spent/transferred after 5:20 AM PDT?
A: You'll have any and all ZEN that you transferred to Neverwinter -- we tracked all transfers during that time and made sure players have the ZEN they should have. If you spent ZEN on items during that time, you'll need to re-buy the items, but you'll have all of that ZEN. No one will lose any money they spent on Neverwinter because of this fix. If you have any issue, please see the customer and billing support contacts below."
"Q: What about the ZEN I bought/sold after 5:20 AM PDT in the Astral Diamond Exchange?
A: All ZEN exchanged during this period will be returned to the original owners."
My question: When?
"I am Elminster of Shadowdale, called by some the Old Sage, and called far worse things by others."
Bumping because I cant find any mention on gloory gains and possible reimbursment:

I lost all my Rank 5 Enchant on my companion whch I payed for from Chest, THank you I will never play your game again,. good luck with few players left
Send in a ticket. If you can't bother doing that, you likely weren't all that interested in the first place. Nothing wrong with that, but doesn't it make more sense to give them a chance to rectify your problem?
I am grateful that Cryptic/Perfect World had a guy posting up to the minute communication, no matter how trite, to let us know that hey, someone was there and something was being done, even if it was mysterious.
I would also like to thank them for making sure that I didn't lose my character, her professions and her gear/mount. Luckily, I had logged out at 428 am (pacific) and only 8 minutes of standing around and complaining that I was tired in pm's were lost.
Now, I still haven't seen the destruction of my auctions and item that may be lost through the AH, but those are not important. My character, her beautiful t2 and her mount was all I cared about.
While I am at it. I would also like to thank them for making a game that I love to play and it's the first game I have cared about in a long, long time.
Sister Vanity knows if you've been naughty or nice...and heals accordingly.

Exactly what I told my friends to do about the celestial coins. I'm more tired of the game communities rages over outages than I am the game companies responses. I got that the devs are doing what they can, and if its all a show, well, at least they're putting something on to make it look like they're working.

I realize this is not an option - but am disappointed we did not get a wipe after this. There is a poll here that gave a clear overwhelming majority to the wipe. I am guessing that it had more to do with PWE not wanting to refund money then a concern over fairness. Im lvl 40 and geared up nicely so please do not assume I have nothing so it does not matter. I still feel a wipe would have been more fair. Hope you all change ur minds.
With that said... I do appreciate the hard work the techs all put in and the perm bans that were given. You all are doing great work and the up to the min postings on twitter and here were good, thank you.
PS the gift was a nice touch

If the in-game Cash Shop was bugged or down, Cryptic would have had it fixed inside an hour, even if they had to pull people in at midnight. Yet they ignored game-ruining bugs reported in Closed Beta and we have this mess.

As new faq info is added could you maybe make it a different color or underline or something?
"The sum of the whole is this: walk and be happy; walk and be healthy. The best way to lengthen out our days is to walk steadily and with a purpose." -Charles Dickens
I am still banned... wrongfully banned I am wondering if I'm the only one because I see no forum posts about it. Does anyone know what I can do? I sent emails and tickets and got no response.
I just logged into the game, and really had no desire to do anything, so I logged out. Not sure if I'll ever go back in, since there is now zero trust in this game and company.
I have been on the other side of the table before, and while some of the people do care, it is evident that the management, executives and the lawyers are in pure CYA mode right now. They care little for the folks that have paid them money, and will do the bare minimum so that it looks like they did something productive. In their minds it was enough, but to their customer base, it was too little, too late.
This exploit has been know for quite some time, and they ignored it. They watched, perhaps even their friends, run this exploit and did nothing. Pure laziness. This should have never happened.
I'm hoping, foolishly, that the managers and devs who ignored this (and the other numerous exploits), are fired. If they were in the company I work for, they would have been gone, and the lawyers would be looking to see what else they could do to them. There is no excuse for what happened and they know it.
The lawyers must have gone ape, especially when they found out how long it had been going on. That's the main reason it took so long to have the statement released last night. The lawyers went over it to make sure that PWE could not be blamed.
Another thing to know, it will happen again, and they still wont care.
However, if they do care and want our trust, here is a few things they need to do:
1- Give us the number of people that have been banned. No names needed.
2- Explain how you are going to keep them out for good.
3- Ban gold farmers right away, as they are the recipients of most of the exploits.
4- Keep us informed of what is being done in the future about found exploits.
5- Most importantly, explain why this exploit was ignored for so long, and why we should trust you again.
What about non-exploit auctions that had positive bids on them prior to the rollback? Will they be won? If the item instead gets returned to the character who put it up for bid, what happens to the AD that were bid?
Players praising cryptic for their response all seem to be people who've lost little or nothing, yet I, whove lost a lot of Glory gains, have yet to have my concerns addressed (no glory posts anywhere). I've lost tremendous gear from pvp farming and am very disappointed by Cryptic's response so far.
PS: I reafirm that a complete wipe would have been the best solution. That would have made everything fast and clear for everyone. A rollback hurts only the people playing during that time. For a lot of people, it does nothing... For the rest of us, its heartbreaking and leaves alot of questions (such as glory gains, witch I assume are logged, being reimbursed or not)

I already posted that on page 110, 33 pages earlier, and I bet in the 110 pages before that people posted it too?
agreed with the post below me.
