If they roll back I'm done with this game and charging back my founders pack and zen purchases, I've absolutely hammered the game over the weekend doing the REALLY boring stuff necessary to level up my crafting and there's no way I'm doing it again.

If they do not roll back the game is done for anyways. You would rather see the game be broken then level again? You are silly.

Yeah, I don't see them doing anything other than ban some accounts that have already laundered the currencies.

I guess the choice is wipe and lose many, many F2P who may not want to put in all of the work again

    or

Don't wipe and lose far less people but people who spend money.

I figure they will see losing a few people who have spent money and dealing with that thing is the lesser of two evils.

Which is a shame because a wipe with zen refund would solve the issue.

I can't see myself doing a lot of PvP if enough people are max geared through exploits and I'm just setting myself up with the basics - so this kind of cuts off a whole side of the game.

I hope they see the long term picture and restart.

    But I doubt it.

You do realize this game has no subscription. Just the start up amount. For Founders.

Well crud. I was really enjoying this game. Now I have to stop playing until they clearly tell us what they're doing about this.

Update 12PM Pacific: We are still investigating the situation. There is a high likelihood that we will be performing character-specific rollbacks on any accounts that were found to be utilizing the exploit. Additionally, we are investigating the extent of what can additional steps can be taken to remove any illegitimately obtained Astral Diamonds that have entered into the economy. At this stage, the possibility of performing a shard-wide is unlikely.

Your complaint has been assigned case # 57257837.

    Filed against :
    Perfect World Entertainment
101 Redwood Shores Parkway Ste 400
    Redwood City CA 94065

    Complaint Description:
Perfect World sold in-game currency for their game Neverwinter through their Guardian's Pack product. Perfect World then allowed an outrageous economic exploit to go viral within the game that rendered the in-game currency worthless. Perfect World then removed my access to the in-game currency all together, effectively re-taking possession of a product or service they had previously sold to me, thereby obtaining money under false pretenses. I do not have the in-game currency I was sold, and it's value has been terribly comprised by the ineptitude and complicity of Perfect World employees.

    Your Desired Resolution:
A full character and server wipe and refund to all players.

This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response. It is our policy to allow the business 10 working days to respond to your complaint. You will be notified when the business has responded.

They need to do a full wipe or this game is over. Just look at the poll. A large majority of the players who want to continue playing this game want a full wipe. Not to mention a full wipe helps PWE legally. If they do not perform a full wipe this game is dead and PWE can enjoy a long summer of class action law suits...

Wipes or Rollbacks are the laziest and most daring solutions. How will you have confidence to spend your money and time in a game that, at any moment, might just "start" all over again?

But you're wrong. I've done plenty of chargebacks on games. I plan to add this one to my list.

What you didn't get is that exploiters are active people on the forums and you'll find their accounts completely empty with a symbolic amount of ADs left. Everything will be turned into items, given to friends/alts via direct trades or mail (not disabled in game), and then spread across several alt accounts you won't ban.

A full wipe is HAMSTER. I paid money for a head start and I earned all my gear legit. I dropped 200$ to be where I'm at, and some dude unrelated to me runs a scam so I get punished? Roll back the AD, punish the dudes, let the people whining move to a different game, and life goes on.

As if they don't have logs of every transaction as it stands. People have no idea where the economy is and are speculating/talking out their butts.

Lumping together wipes and rollbacks doesn't really work. If there was a full wipe at any moment, then I would agree, but a 2- or 3-day rollback every once in a while really wouldn't hurt much. No fun, granted, but if it was fixing a serious flaw and only rolled back as far as was needed then it would be tolerable.

This isn't enough, the games economy will be totally and utterly ruined for us who didn't cheat at all.

Lol, few of the people in my guild have literally billions of AD worth of items in their accounts and alts. I see no way to counter that except a full wipe.

Wow the the speed at which the exploits spiraled out of control in this game is mind blowing. From what I've read so far AD is completely worthless in game now. Great job PWE, another stellar launch.
