it is a mistake to let anyone keep stuff from a glitch as big as this.. people got banned for making far less ad off glitches.. If they ban people for exploiting surtain bugs, and then let other bugs be exploited.. well. Even if players didnt "know" about this bug.. everyone understood it as soon as leg packs started to rain.. in my opinion everyone opened a pack after the first packs started raining, was aware something was wrong, and therefor exploited a bug in the same way someone exploited the barovia hunt bug... today u could even make far more ad than in the barovia bug.. so... A bug ia a bug, and a exploit is a exploit..This will just make some players really mad, and break pc economy even more. Some people even got mulitple packs, and got to keep them..
Unfortunately this is NOT the first time this happened. Same issue happend when one of the Nightmare Mounts was introduced (a really long time ago, not sure but I think M1 or M2?). The situation doesn't get better if you consider the bug report that told you about this issue in the Preview Forum.

This was a known bug on preview before today. That is why everyone hurried to open Stardock boxes not the new ones. No one hurries on a new mod to open the old lockboxes. They new there was a chance it wasn't fixed. I voted for rollback but prob too late now.

Really? No roll back is exactly why it's NOT same ole Cryptic. This is new. I didn't get one, I do NOT wanna see a rollback. I want to see progression moving forward. They're licking their wounds for messing up, leaving the stuff in game, and moving on.

And don't even try to say it's not the same as we all know it's possible to convert items to IRL cash, which is exactly why it's against ToS because cryptic knows it's happening.
A rollback, whether it is for 5 minutes or a week would take the same amount of time and let's be honest, having to perform a system-wide rollback 5 minutes after a mod launch would be hugely damaging to Cryptic's reputation.
Because not doing anything over a gamebreaking bug that was reported on preview giving access to legendary mount to everyone when a rollback would have impacted a relatively small amount of people since they shutdown the server quickly would not damage their reputation? Also the reputation of letting major problems hit the live server eve when reported? They already have it
In almost 6 years of playing, always playing with the VIP I have never seen a legendary mount, and now for your mistake people find themselves a mount without working, and you leave it?
ROLL BACK or 1 mount to server anything less is Hamstered as yall knew this bug was on alrdy in preview and you allowed to go live and some people realized the good chance of yall messing up again and they were right and Exploited this Known bug and now ur gonna let ppl keep this stuff, or let each have 1 soo uncool Either roll back or Give everyone an Acct bound leg mount
I love all the people crying for rollback--hey, I didn't get to take advantage of this, so I want those people who did to pay for it! makes no sense--I knew nothing about the bug, I just logged onto play and saw everybody opening the boxes so I used my daily key to open mine. I should be penalized for that? Makes no sense unless you are a jerk...
Its simple really, if you let few 100's keep their leg mounts, you upset the few 1000 others. If you don't let the few 100's keep their leg mounts, only few 100's are upset. If a player that loses his bugged leg mount feels bad, how would a player who has bought one with 12mil will feel?
But the situation is even more shadier. Apparently, some players that opened a leg mount don't have it anymore, after the server went down. The only solution to the current dilemma is to either give leg mounts to all those who opened them OR give them to no one. Can you do it?
I would say give them to everyone because i still need a power mount :P , hopefully the price will drop.
Why would they not just rollback this gaffe? It's a slap in the face for people that spend good money on keys or leg mounts on the zen market or grind for enough AD to afford one. Should we all have skipped work to be ready to jump on the newest glitch?

Chris said today in the stream if a bug is exploited after being reported there won't be bans. I wouldn't expect a ban from this bug but I was expecting a roll back, hoping they wouldn't. Now that they haven't I have much more faith in the direction were headed in the next year.

It would be a slap in the face to rollback on those players who just logged on, got their key, used it and got the pack. It is only a slap in the face because YOU didn't get it. Honest people like myself who just got onto play, used our daily key, and got gifted shouldn't be penalized because you are butthurt
The question is when did this bug start? This morning or since Stardock lockbox was introduced? If it was this morning, then a rollback would be acceptable. If a month ago or more, then a rollback would be horrendous!
No rollback when it's the easiest time to rollback, aka right 5 min after a maintenance? Why wouldn't you rollback and avoid dozens and dozens of legendary mounts obtained via a glitched lockbox to spread and destroy a bit more the economy? Don't you think PC's economy isn't bad enough as it is now? Seems not
This was the previous lockbox that has been out since Mod 17, not the new one. A rollback would have taken a HUGE amount of these mounts away from people. This actually seems consistent with what I have personally observed from the game-wide announcements of these boxes. If they rolled it back and took away the mounts that people had already gotten from these lockboxes then a large amount of people would have simply quit. So overall, good reaction to this.
What does the kind of lockbox has to do with this? The rollback would have just rolled back the 5 minutes following the M18 launch with the bugged lockbox. Also the new lockbox can always be bought on the bazaar not sure why you think it's the M17 lockbox has something to do with the problem.
I was under the impression that this referred to ALL stardock lockboxes dating back to when it was released, did not realize that there was an issue on preview recently that was reported and slipped through.
I openned lockbox for years w/o getting any legendary mount. Leaving those in and not rolling back means putting a huge fist down people who pay to play your game.
Leaving this in means that all the hard work people did to get their legendary mount will be pissed at Cryptic. 5 minute rollback shouldn't have raised any question. This is weird that cryptic is giving out the message that abusing bug is ok, and should be rewarded.

This is what I see it as, too. At least as an attempt to go at this differently now. However, a rollback wouldn't be the same as banning people for Huntgate. Everything they can do about it practically, they are still evaluating it right now. Just leave it to them, they get paid for it, and it will be drama anyway.
@cwhitesidedev#9752 this is your opportunity to restore players faith. we need a rollback or 1 free legendary pack to all accounts. This type of thing can't be happening every time a new mod comes out. This is exactly how to loose players.
I would love to see them give everyone a legendary stardock mount pack for letting this go live, but I won't be upset if they don't, just a little disappointed I didn't log in fast enough
