. . . We do have epic pets, they're purple. Common is rank 15, Uncommon is Rank 20, Rare is 25, Epic is 30. Legendary would be 35, I would assume.
Edit: Ahh, I see what you mean, because the auction house called them "Very rare?" Hmm.. curiouser and curiouser. I still believe they're epic. However, official game news never refers to a companion's quality per-say, just their color. My greater reasoning for purple being epic is that if you look at any professions booster pack, epic items are purple. As well, purple mounts are called epic mounts and orange artifacts are called legendary.
Oops, that was a matter of me thinking one thing and typing something totally different. I meant legendary instead of epic. My bad.
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.
You mean I can't create a Dragon Bard? There is no possible way that it is an April Fool's joke since they put in far too much effort into it. Obviously balancing dragons for PvP is taking much longer than the devs thought.
This is really great news. New content is always great (especially for me if it is PVE oriented). However, I'm pretty much disappointed with module 3. I don't know about PVP as I stopped doing that after the recent changes as it is ridiculously unbalanced for the non-pvp-spec'd builds. PVE on the other hand offers nothing more than an endless grindfest. I'm ok with the requirements to enter IWD but the pre-requisites for the epic skirmish seem a bit overdone. Unless I'm mistaken and don't know sth I'll need to grind for a full purified/corrupted set to even try it. Unless there is way to get 20% black ice resistance, even temporarily, without crafting the new set this particular end game content will probably be closed for me for half a year. Given the fact that the dailies take more than I anticipated (above all because of staggering lags in Icewind Pass/Dwarven Valley) I have to abandon Sharandar and Dread Ring completely with the toons that already got their boons. I have 4 lvl 60 characters (and 2 more on their way) and I'd like all of them to test their mettle in Kessel's Retreat but, seriously...not all players can spend their time in game 24/7.

This actually sounds promising story and lorewise.
I would have them announce it in two weeks or maybe even a month from when they did.
People might panic and worry about maxing mod 3 incase of requirements, instead of just enjoying and playing the game.

As stated earlier in the thread, I don't think Cryptic had much say in the matter this time around. It's not like the company to put out hard and fast release dates this far in advance.

I assume they've already been working on it. It has been a while since mod 2 to the release of mod 3. There are definitely a lot of issues that need to be fixed. I thought the game would die because icewind is awesome, but it's only short term. If we can get decent end game content for the new module it could keep the game interesting. Of course they really need to make things more bug free on release... If theres a new class that'd be awesome too. I'm glad I'm not forced to find a new game quite yet
I am with you 100%. I had serious doubts on the staying power after mod 3. They need to listen to the play testers and directly interact more with us concerning issues, actual content they have introduced, balance, what works and what does not and more.
They need in reality a weekly round table with the most active play testers, and I do not mean a round table with "Yes people".
Don't use any boon restrictions for the new module please. These take too long for me, a casual gamer, to acquire on multiple characters. Have it based on like, 10k gear score, that's it ...

You know who is great at fighting dragons? The Paladin!!! Come on Cryptic make it happen!
I hope they don't. While the Paladin is fun, we already have the GWF and GF, so we don't need a third heavy armor class just yet. The Paladin also has some healing capabilities, making the DC even more useless than they already are. Not that I'm saying they are useless, but the HR did cut down on the need for a DC quite a bit. Plus, there are two fighters, as I said, but only one cleric, one rogue, one wizard and one ranger. I would prefer if they make a second of all those before yet another fighter. The next one is probably Warlock, and I guess that's a second Wizard. Then there's a Druid, which could be another Cleric or Ranger. After that, I hope they give the rogue some love.

Couldn't agree more - sort of. They obviously aren't going to remove the boon-requirement for Icewind Dale, but I really hope they come to their senses and make boons account wide. That way we only need to grind up the three boons once, not for every character. Also, not having a boon-requirement at all for Module 4 and beyond would be a huge improvement. Heck, they could even introduce an entirely new story starting at lvl 1 for new players, and lvl 60 for new ones (like the alliances in Elder Scrolls Online.) That would be really fun, especially when they add new classes and races. Want a new character, but are sick of the old content? Play the new story.

Wizards has been telegraphing this one for months ..
ok cool. another expansion, can't wait to start testing it.. here's the burning question.. After several of your moderators here in the forum posted that we would "most likely" get a retraining token on Module 3, (Which didn't happen). Can we expect to have one on module 4?
I was **** upset after 2 months of help testing, reporting bugs, etc on the preview server and even talking to the dev's on the pvp days, which even at that time they said we would more then likely get one, only to be screwed and not receive it.
yes even though I am upset of not receiving a retrain token, I am still looking forward to the next expansion. Sorry if the above comment makes me sound OP.
When can we expect to start testing it on the preview?

I look forward to Module 4 - being a PvE-only player, some of the main attractions of Module 3 are completely irrelevant to me. There are things I would like to see, of course - I don't really care that much for new races or classes, as I play the same character (My femmale half-elf DC, Tanya) 90% of the time, but basically any new PvE content is most welcome.
OH, Could this be with 4th expansion will I finally have a warlock, talk was bot warlock and ranger were in the works and with ranger here?
Could it be... Oh i hope so!

The forum mods aren't to blame for saying we could get free respecs (if any of them did actually say that ) it was panderus who said we would get free respecs with new paragon paths and feat changes.
And yes I know the feeling about testing , not going to waste my time putting in bug reports for module 4 unless they add some way to reward testers , it takes too much time with no return the way it is now.
Could it possibly be because they realize just how lame the new Module 3 content really is and they need to throw some hope out onto the horizon so that everybody doesn't jump ship? (Just a thought)
Hopefully Module 4 will be a different kind of experience because doing stupid, repeated, repeated, repeated quests for wolf pelts and fish bone knuckles is flat-out lame. When you reach a certain level of experience, going back to doing a lame, Dread Ring or Sharandar campaign rip-off with more bells and whistles simply doesn't cut it anymore. I would have been happy with 4 new epic dungeons instead of Module 3 any day of the week.
The one redeeming thing about Module 3 is that the boons aren't bad. This, unfortunately, is the -ONLY- reason for putting up with the pain of progressing through it. Seriously, if it weren't for the boons there would be absolutely no reason to do Mod 3. Giving us additional power points (which are entirely useless at this point in the game) for "level progression" is also no incentive. At least cough up a couple of feat points or something.
. . . I really love Module 3, it turned out better than I thought it would. Sure, if all you want to do is grind the dailies, yeah.. it would be a bit dry. If Module 4 is to be even better, wow.. it's going to be awesome! Oh, and DRAGONS!

. . . If I remember correctly, what was said was to someone wanting to buy a respec but they didn't want to if Mod3 came with one and one of the other Mods suggested to wait then just in case Module 3 gave a free respec. I am almost positive no moderator said we would get one because of the simple fact that we all have been asking for quite some time now if Module 3 would get one and we're even still keeping them informed of player's wishes to get one.
Well, since no new class was released with Mod3 *sigh* and IF theres a new class with Mod4 *sigh again* itll come with 2 Paragon paths already. If not... *more sigh*

It's pretty clear, that due to the tie-ins, Cryptic had little say in the date. This is obviously something Hasbro is pushing. Announcing anything this early and with a hard target date is completely out of character for Cryptic. Let's hope they can meet this challenge.
+1
People complained about no new dungeon, class, whatever, but with this timetable it's probably fair to judge M3 + M4 as one big package. Funny enough one review mentioned that this module seems a bit forced, in a way releasing something only to release something. And the writer stated he hopes they have the next big thing up their sleeve to follow up. Guess he was right.

You should stop releasing new content that often and revamp classes and existing content. Slow down a bit with the grind sessions. It's tiring.

If it does have a new class it'll most likely be Scourge Warlock , I'd be very surprised if it has more than one paragon path on release.
