Only at lvl10 on my first character but it seems every quest I'm sent on it is 1-3 level's above me, which is making the game a drag. Am i missing something or is this the way the game should be.. hopefully I'm missing something cause i like the feel of the game.

Some of the early starting quests got removed. While it streamlined leveling a bit and improved the flow, it left a bit of an XP gap at the early levels. Things will smooth out a bit for you around the 15 to 18 range. At that point your options for earning XP jump up considerably. From PVP, foundries, Dungeons, ect. At that point you will find the only way you can end up under leveled for content is if you intentionally skip areas.
Hi folks. Been playing off and on for a couple weeks now. Hard to find time between my 10h/day job and my family, but I'm working with what I'm given. Love the game so far! Couple of things I need help with if possible:
-In Neverwinter it's very, eh...laggy/jumpy? I assume this is from all the people online in the town. Are there any display settings that can reduce this? I'm running a decent machine setup that hasn't had problems with other games.
-I play full screen and I'm having an issue with my mouse stopping about 2" from the right hand side of my screen. I'm on a 24" flat screen monitor. It doesn't do it on the left but on the right it's as if the cursor has hit an invisible wall. Makes clicking the minimap and level up pop-ups impossible. Any idea how to fix this?
Please, I have one doubt, but i cant make a new thread since im new in the forums. How can I store my mounts? I have 2 horses, but is it necessary to have the one that is not equipped in my inventory??? And what about if you like collecting mounts and want to have 200 different mounts? Is that possible in this game?
Evening, all. Wasn't sure where to post my questions, so this seems as good place as any. Yes, I am still relatively new to the game (A week and a half, perhaps?). My main, a tricky little rogue finally managed to get a companion, and I love that little mutt. Problem is, the companion is now lvl 20, and doesn't appear to be gaining any more exp. How do we level our companions past lvl 20 (companion level, not character level)? My rogue is already lvl 40, and he is still travelling with a rather smallish companion. Thanks so much! (And yes, I have to agree with others, it does kinda suck that we have to pay for in game advancements. I have well over 100 of those lockbox things, but at the rate they are charging for keys, I won't be able to open any for awhile. Guess I will just continue to collect them. Wish we could get keys in game, even if it cost ADs...)
Astral Diamonds can be exchanged for ZEN ingame, and with ZEN you can buy lockbox keys from the ZEN shop. Then just wait for a 40% discount coupon for a lockbox key from the refinement bags or from any other drop, and buy the key.
About companions, just level them up to their max. level. Outfit them either with loyal companion items from the auction house, if you have enough Astral Diamonds for those, or just level 69+ rare items, get some decent runestones into them, and use them until you can buy better companions from the auction house.
A better companion from the auction house will in most cases cost you less, then to upgrade the companion you have...

From what I have heard, the exchange rate for Astral Diamonds in game is horrendous. I think my little rogue has just under 3K at the moment (have to buy scrolls to identify newly found goodies). Oh well, will just continue to collect them until I win the lottery. LOL Will such high level items (you mentioned 69+) work on lvl 20 companions? I am really liking the dog companion, although I might look into replacing him with something from the AH (although it is unlikely I will be able to afford any of those any time soon lol). So, it sounds like, just keep dragging the little lvl 20 pup with me everywhere, and hope he doesn't maul me in my sleep. Got it. ;)

LOL That is kind of what I expected. Still, would be nice to see what is in them. Oh well. Thanks for the info. That is probably what I will end up doing. :)
I'm downloading the game right now and looking forward to checking it out. I played the PC box game about 10 years ago and really enjoyed it. Does the Monk class exsist in the MMO version? Monk is what I played back then and loved it! It is a little worrisome to read about the Pay-to-win opinions, but I just want to have fun, not be topping any ladders. Exploration and story are what I enjoy the most. Anyways, just wanted to say hello and this thread is a good read.

I'm re-trying this game again. I'm still waiting for the monk class
as to p2w aspect if you want to save time then use your card, if you got free time then grind your way to BiS.

Hi folks, just started this thing a week ago and absolutely loving it. abit thin on content, but the class and combat mechanics are arguably the best in the genre. the f2p limits are abit much tho, which leads to my question:
1. what are the should/must have features that i should spend on in order to have a reasonably enjoyable experience? im not the power gaming type, but i do wish to perform well in my classes and access core content on a regular basis
2. im a bit tempted to buy a new char slot, but some have said Arc gives them free semi regularly, that true?
3. the AH economy seems to be abit... dead. is it reasonable to expect earning steady strean of AD from selling stuff?
After 12 years when i bought neverwinter night, lets try this game again. But it holds too many keyboard secrets for me. I stubble already on the 1ste mission in picking up the 3 items. Maybe it still a controller game. because i have no clue where can bend too pick up items and the F key does not work mayby you cannot use your keyboard and mouse at all.
Hi guys im new. so i cant post new threads yet, i want to ask you something...I was patching the game and suddenly BlueScreen error appeared...i didnt have anything else oppened, only the game, i tried dowloading from steam and from arc and the same happened, can someone tell me what to do?
They should remake this thread, but put goatse in the first post to give new players an idea of what they're going to be in for with NWO from here on out.
I have a question. Are there any huge reasons why one class is better than another? I am interested in TR, OP, HR, CW, DC, SW( basically all except GF and GWF, ). And I can't choose on one (or 2) any help?

the currently most favored classes are OP ( ultimate tank or healer), gwf (utlimate damage), TR ( pvp machines), cw ( control class), and DC with +ap feat from virtuous ( buff/debuff bot and healer),
sw is rather broken at the moment. hr, well the 1st encounter power is run away. and gf's are OK but directional tanking vs op's bubble is meh.
i suggest not giving them any money until you've played a while and realize what your giving money to.

HR...
...Trapper works OK when built and geared properly, but has a high gear demand before it does. But then they're good DPS/CC , on par with many a CW, with some incredible buffs. Also Archer is incredibly slow and strenuous, and Combat tree is just there so the space doesn't look empty...
Hi there, I'm fairl new to this game and I was wondering something. How do I get an enchanted key. I need them to unlock some treasure packs I got in the tower district. Can anyone help me with this?
Best way for enchanted keys, buy a ViP pack and get a single key every day. 25. - 26. Nov. is a huge sale in the ZEN shop, 50% discount, you might want to wait until then to purchase anything.

You might want to open your ingame map and read the legend.

Ok. I started a SW but he's only level 6. I will do a cleric but I wanted to start with a dps class until then. Why do people like GWF?
