This. They seem to be taking this way to lightly. The servers should be down at this point for sure.

They are taking it too lightly. I don't want to sound like one of those entitled spoiled whiny mmo children that I am so annoyed by, but they need to realize that there are TONS of other new MMOs out there and if balance and economy issue effect game play or the social atmosphere to a negative degree, you better believe people will go some place that runs more smoothly with a prospering economy.

I love D&D, but this game is barely D&D in my book so that just wouldnt be enough to keep this life-long D&D player here when things have gotten completely warped.

Better to act sooner than later, no matter how angry people may get (and no matter what happens, there ARE going to be angry people somewhere - it just cannot be avoided)

    No rollback, no wipe.

Ban the exploiters and their mule accounts and then live with it, the market will stabilize itself again in 1-2 weeks. Maybe introduce some AD sink for the super-rich who benefited from AH black-friday sale.

A rollback or wipe will satisfy the 3-400 people who vote in this poll (half of them probably don't even play and are just forum fighters) and will HAMSTER off thousands of casual players who even now have no idea what is going on and just want to enjoy the game.

    This.
Keep finding exploiters, wipe their accounts clean, give em bans. 1 exploit abused = 3 day ban. 2 exploits abused = 1 week ban. 3 exploits abused - account deleted, IP permaban.

Wipe all the characters on every single account in the game , strip them off their gear and remove the ad / zen . Refund the founders and give the game a fresh start .

Wipe only the exploiter accounts and not the full servers.
If you wipe all accounts the most people leave the game for ever. Do not the wrong thing because a small group do ****...

Problem with this is a lot of trolls are voting for wipe just to ruin the whole game.

    ROLLBACK.

If they don't they ruin the game:

CRAFTING can be leveled to max with AD.
GEAR, all of it has either been bought and sold for gold or stashed in mules
PETS, "cats"... Everyone has bought tons and tons of pets and selling them to the few who are not exploiting for cash.
EXPLOITERS, if there is no rollback it will be a huge punishment for anyone who did not exploit... I myself am contemplating on going in and snagging myself a cat for a low goldprice but I won't.
ZEN-AD, all zen has been bought up, this is a total **** of the economy and anyone honestly trying to make anything out of this game.
    The list goes on.

lemme guess, you all work in IT and know a server wipe always fixes every problem you've ever had.
You are all a joke....and I HAMSTER in your general direction.

Nothing less than a complete wipe with perma bans for ALL exploiters, all founders packs reset and zen placed back in to accounts that purchased it with real money, not ad.. The game has gone on far to long with all these issues and no wipes.. shoot they said no wipes, thats find dont do it but roll back all accounts to when open beta started :D

Full wipe, bans, compensation of, say, 10% extra zen for everyone who had PURCHASED it with real cash (not including myself I might add), event for double exp for a week or two to get people leveled back up, including profession exp.

I fail to see any other REAL fix; I personally haven't been effected (unless someone spammed me with items whilst I was offline, a possibility I suppose) but I dislike the thought of AD being entirely worthless for the life time of the game.

Hopefully, this is a bit of a shock to the system of Cryptic/PWE; exploits of this magnitude should have been completely impossible, and certainly should have been caught sooner. (And dealt with better, why the HELL are the servers online when a major exploit is going on? Even bans now wouldn't prevent continuation of exploited AD now, as everyone will be scattering it, probably in equal parts to get people banned as to store some on a mule. It has FORCED them to take heavy action, and short of a wipe, it won't cover the people who exploited from day one.)

Full wipe and I leave, at least a 90% chance of it. At least for a long long while until I am bored of GW2, and if I decide not go give WoW another go..maybe I'll pick up defiance again who knows. But I wont stick around to re-level my character all over again. Rollback please.

No a wipe does not fix the problems, BUT them fixing the problems on their end, THEN wiping resets the economy to where it should be with no issues.. sorry i moved before your HAMSTER hit me

Unfortunately there is no solution that will leave anyone unscathed by these catastrophic issues. The only solutions that could save this game would be to do the following:
    • Take the game down for at least 1 month and wipe the servers
    • Find and fix all known exploits, while continuing to find any others
    • Change all dungeon boss drops to BOP
    • Implement better measures to stop PVP AFK'ing
    • Improve the Dungeon Queueing system to populate with more balanced groups
    • Improve the Dungeon Party system so that party leaders don't abuse the kick feature
    • Improve the AH to actually work as intended, with all sorting features usable
    • Enlist the help of willing guilds to fine tune the dungeon difficulty
    • Expedite a Raid Dungeon for end game content
    • During this time period, please collect data from the community to fine tune your zen store item pricing
    • Offer complete refunds to any founders pack purchase
    • Refund all Zen purchases
    • Announce a new Open Beta when the time is appropriate
    • Give updates to the community on a weekly basis

I know that refunds are the last thing a business wants to do, but if you at least offer them, your community will think the better of you for it and you can salvage this game.

Some players will quit today anyway. The only thing for PW to do is to look at the poll, calculate, how much ppl gona quit after wipe and how much gona stay if there will be wipe.

The solution is so simple. Create new servers...

This was my something else. The ruined servers can be marked by an * in the server select list with reason. I would expect them still to ban abusers, any further action to enforce rules or remedy the server would be icing on the cake.

In the meantime just make 3 new servers and everyone is happy.

If you want wipe, you move to new server.

If you want to ride it out , stay put.

Why is this there even debate over this?

I know it has been happening on dragon server for a while now. kept seeing -time and -bids on many crafting/profession items. Someone in my guild complained that he only got 1 ad for an uncommon tailor he swore he put up for 50k etc etc. It's been going on for a while but people were more interested in the Guardian 1shot exploits and farming pirates and stuff.

So i was not going nuts when i got 1 AD the other day from an auction.

This is upsetting because it is a good game. I do like it. But how many betas did they have..3? Not nearly enough. You can tell by the several exploits in only a few weeks, and then this enormous one..not to mention the dungeon difficulty being overtuned. They needed more closed betas. I traverse MMO sites often and was not notified of being invited to a closed beta. Was this for only people who payed? If so, shame on them and no wonder why the game is breaking down when people actually TRY to break it.

Forum polls do not really mean anything TBH, most players do not even visit game forums...so I do not think they will take much notice.
Why not wait and see what their solution is eh?

Nuke it. Full character wipe after the problems have been fixed, and ban the exploiters.

New Servers. The people who want to live/play in the exploit infested waters can, the ones who want a fresh start can do by rolling new toons on the new server. It will be only a matter of time before the new servers are full and brimming and the old ones shut down.

I'm going to assume you are new here.

The plan is to merge all shards so adding another one won't solve anything if they are going to be merged anyway.
