1. Many new NW players don't know that there -is- cross-game chat. Understandably, since how many other companies offer that? 2. They simply join the "trade" channel, not knowing that it is actually meant for CO. In their defense, it would be less confusing if the channel was named "COtrade", but it's too late for that…
That's not a solution, it's turning one power into a completely different one. Better to create more powers that use a laser pistol. Ones that don't turn the target into a stupidly durable teddy bear!
As long as I can still lock on, I'm fine with this. But I still see a problem with all melee attacks becoming AoEs, because that would defeat the purpose of single-buffing specializations. Melee was OP back when it was buffed by Strength while ranged wasn't buffed by anything, aside from the super stats damage buff. Your…
/signed There really needs to be a glove review, to allow for more combinations without many issues. Here is an idea I: Instead of Long Gloves and Short Gloves, there could be Tight Gloves and Wide Gloves. Tight Gloves are those that are so short or fit so tightly with a character's skin, they wouldn't clip with bracers,…
I'm not going to support this, because I dislike Neverwinter's combat, specifically its targeting system. If I wanted to have controls like in a FPS, I would be playing a FPS. Unless you're using 360? PbAoE attacks, it's not easier to hit your target without target lock! Also, our melee attacks have a range of 10 feet.
I am surprised how much this "not-reviewer" downplayed the auction house exploit. It was a catastrophic event from which the economy will never recover. And if that isn't going to kill NW, TESO will, in a few months. Don't take this too serious. I'm just immitating the people who say the "kitchen sink patch" has ruined CO…
Spider Man never wore neon red or black so dark you couldn't see his muscles anymore. By that definition, the only typical blackredder amongst your characters is Jaguar. Whose costume is otherwise great, I got to say.
It is pretty much that. Bring high DPS or GTFO. It helps if you can keep them close to eachother and hit them both with powerful AoEs, if your team has some. If your team is built mainly for single target damage, you have to take them on one-by-one instead.
I don't complain about people, I'm criticizing a fashion trend. But speaking of the people... This is how "Dark", from page 2, looks now. He also joined a SG with a less silly name. And this handsome devil... looked like this a few minutes later. Small improvements, but still better than none. You see, it's not like…
Funny that you mention them. The Kzash Hound is most likely a byproduct of Neverwinter, if not outright a rejected monster design from it. It looks much like the Howler mount. Maybe we'll get one as a sidekick when/if that system is added. A super rare sidekick, from a Lockbox, of course.
I completed it 3 times by now, always with a premade team. Here is what I can recommend: * Only level 40s. Nothing below! * Only well-made freeforms. No archetypes! * 1 tank and 4 damage dealers, with self-heals if possible. No healers! * You don't have to beat Duratok and Ironclad seperately. AoEs work as well. But DON'T…
They are complaining because completing it is exactly what matters. No one gives a damn about the Gs, it's all about winning the alert. Less than all 10 rounds does not quallify as winning!
It's no secret that vehicles generally outperform all but the most godlike freeform builds. Their only weakness is their need to reload, which matters only in timed battles like this one.
Over in STO, people actually beat the Kobayashi Maru Scenarion on a regular base. It works pretty similar to the Forum Malvanum alert too; a survival map with multiple (but not endless) waves of enemies. I'd like to make a comparison on the difficulty, but I never played it. Anyone here who tried both?
Of course it's open for all. But only teams made of the most powerful characters have a chance to win. Lasting five rounds can in no way be seen as "winning". If you beat the whole alert, ALL rounds, no less, then you can say you won! People don't play this alert for the resources they get after the 5th round, but to win.…
Even with two level 40s and two vehicles, the damage we dealt in 1:30 minutes was barely visible on thier health bars. Frickin' Sky Command was easier to win than this!
Try as you want, there is no chance to win this alert. And even if you could, you would only have a small chance to get one of these rewards. You might as well try getting Therakiel's Blade instead. Also, it was really nice of Cryptic not to include the lost Gladiator pieces from Nemcon.
Here's a pink one. And a green one. And a blue one. And a yellow one. And they're all just the same. Really, red is just the most common color. Aside from the color, there is no difference.
Zekka approves. For my part; I don't just dream up powers. I have an idea of what is possible in this game, and I make my suggestions accordingly, so they have the possiblity to become real. But if I'd have to name one, it would be the "Flying Phoenix Kick" from this similar thread:…
When grimdarkness meets xtreme laziness... Because nothing says "celestial" like ax crazy people with a god complex wearing evil looking hi-tech armor. *rolleyes* This one has at least more than two colors. But even bigger than the contrast between the colors is the contrast between how overdesigned the costume is and how…
There would have to be a pattern with holes and, to make it look better, a detail texture to make the holes look like holes. I don't think the holes could be made as an additional layer. Instead, there would need to be compies of existing patterns with the holes added to them. Kinda like the zombie tights do it, except…
Oh, man. That's just hilarious. I thought the chat ban system would cause a massive uproar, but this is even more epic. Bad for Cryptic World, but still epic. Well, if they do a complete wipe, I don't think I'll be returning to that game. It was fun while there were new things to explore, but I really don't feel…
I'm not judging the colors, and not even the ones who use them. This thread is about the improper use, and how to avoid it. If your G.E.A.R. Enforcer manages to look good in black and red, you are welcome to post a picture of him as a positive example.
lol As I said; using black and red doesn't make a character look bad. Using only black and red (or other glow), with no concept whatsoever; that naturally makes bad costumes. Your chars don't abuse glow or auras, their costumes are made with a clear concept and they use tertiary and even quartary colors. Absolutely nothing…
And here, a few good examples to proof that black and red doesn't have to look bad. The first thing to notice: There is no glow. It's a tech ninja that actually looks stealthy. Here we have a black power armor with red glowing details. Emphasis on "details"! The glow is subtle and actually used only for details…
The same in purple. It's the second most common color of choice for blackredders, but not really any more original. This one also inverts the concept of the dragon in the previous post, but not for the better. Instead of a black mass, we have a bright purple mass here. That's the problem with extreme contrast colors: One…
1. Backpack Gadgeteer. The only preorder costume piece that didn't make a return with Free For All. 2. Mechaniste 3. Armor Cyber Cable 4. Cybernetic Ninja Katana, including sheathed back piece. 5. Whatever these are called I've never seen the bracer or arm accessoir without the other, so I guess they are one costume piece.…
Takofanes may be an extremely powerful lich, but I don't think he can actually turn the moon to red. Funfact: Vibora Bay doesn't get a red moon either, which may or may not have something to do with the presence of an even more powerful being. Another funfact: The Dogz can apperantly still notice the Bloodmoon, even though…
Not true. It switches between Single and Dual Blades animations. Single Ego Blade even gets a one-handed version of Eye of the Storm, which MA Single Blade doesn't have.
The rock wings are also a drop from Resistance. ;) http://www.champions-online-wiki.com/wiki/Resistance_Wings On topic: /signed! Every place is a good place for the lost costume unlocks - unless it's a lockbox!
You can solo pretty much everything, if your char is strong enough. As for the crypts; you should be able to deal with hordes of henchmen (there are spawners in some of the crypts), Might supervillains (must be defeated to unlock the boss room) and Darkness supervillains (the boss), all on "skull" difficulty. That's an…
I should have expected that, seeing as slow as their progress is with the current one. Hopefully, they can make a new event until Nighthawk's ends.
