While i don't like the use of the word derogatory to the nomadic peoples of asia and europe that i count amongst my ancestry (but assume it was not meant as such and used through innocent ignorance) i do concur that it would be very cool for those of us with moonbase hideouts to have some effect during bloodmoon and the absence of any does seem strange.

Clearly you were tricked, and your "moon base" is actually just on a large asteroid.

Did you perhaps buy it from this guy?

Just get your moon base an atmosphere.

Takofanes may be an extremely powerful lich, but I don't think he can actually turn the moon to red.

Funfact: Vibora Bay doesn't get a red moon either, which may or may not have something to do with the presence of an even more powerful being.
Another funfact: The Dogz can apperantly still notice the Bloodmoon, even though their area isn't affected by it.

What I think you want to do here is something for it's own thread: Who would win in a fight: Therakiel or Takofanes?

I don't know much about Legendaries, but 2,000,000 plus HP vs 300,000 HP seems pretty imbalanced for a start. I'm sure there are plenty of other factors but that a lot of weight on a challenger to overcome.

On second thought I think I might start that thread. It has a even sillier premise than this one.

The problem is that, the colour of the moon from the earth is reflected light, both from the Sun and atmospheric factors.

Since you are on the moon, you only have direct light.

Have you thought of just getting a huge spraygun and loading it with red pigment. Spray away.

A Blood Moon is a real-world occurrence where the moon appears to actually be red. Folklore says that the moon is turned red by the blood of the innocents killed when a village is razed. The coloration of the moon is actually caused by the smoke from the burned village filtering the light from the moon. This effect is still observable in the modern day, if you live in areas where forest fires are a common occurrence; I've actually seen it several times myself.

You know... if we could choose the colour of the moonscape and choose from a series of skies we could have a mars base or alien planet base without much effort!

And also reskin and rescale the earth sphere to make a huge Jovian Gas giant looming in the sky.

Yeah how cool would that be! If they could add saturnian rings it'd be magnificent!
