I'll update it before heading to work and close it tonight.

"October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and October 1st is this Wednesday. So I will draw whichever Marvel heroine get the most votes here on my thread in a cheeky SFW pin up to promote this. The character must be 18 plus and must exist in the game already.
    Thanks
Ps. I'm not voting myself but will decide any ties or place a default if necessary."

Your character must be 18 plus, mostly human and have a recognizable costume. I am looking for "human" and female for the obvious reasons. You may be a partial cyborg or lightly armoured but no heavy or full suits. All the normal rules apply and feel free to ask questions here.

Standard Lottery Rules (these never change):
    (1) Post the name of your hero.
    (2) Post your global name.
    (3) Post a full body, full color picture of the hero (doesn't need to be big, just showing head to toe). If your character uses a weapon I will need to see it as well.
    * the screen-cap does not need to be posted till a winner is announced, no screen cap no doodle however.

    Breast Cancer Awareness Lottery:
    (01) Cheeky SFW pose for Breast Cancer Awareness Month? That honor has to go to Electrocutie@jonsills.
    (02) Vanity Hawke@Liath. A good cause and I think she would certainly fit the bill
    (03) Nyauni@kallethen, my catgirl genie
    (04) Okay, let's try this again: Khana the Huntress@gorinzachian
    (05) Britannia@milleniumguardian always likes to support a worthy cause
    (06) I'll enter. Recurve@Rune, She definitely fits the profile.
    (07) Nice to see you back AC, and thanks for the lottery. Beast Girl@prestochango (Your welcome)
    (08) Terra@apygoos, what better than a space rogue for this~

    Thanks all and good luck.

Added a placeholder and rolled as a d12, the die faces a "5". "Congratz to Britannia!"
I'll get started on this one as soon as the screen cap is posted to the thread. I will try to finish the Throwdown first but inspiration can be very fickle.

    "Welcome home, AC!"
Thanks but let's not get ahead of ourselves, lol.

There is potentially one more lottery to come, I offered to let Bunni run one but the messages got lost in the shuffle and I had committed to other things. If you do see a lottery post by Bunni in the near future it is real and it means I found some free time.

Woooot! I'm really stoked AC XD

Britannia is the patron goddess and guardian of Great Britain. A scion of Minerva, she rose to prominence and broke away from the Dodekatheon before the fall of Rome, and has been the patron deity of her island home ever since, ever-watchful and ready to defend it from all-comers.

She is a goddess of rigid, unyielding honor and fair play, which she encourages in all dealings. Though never much formally worshiped, even in her heyday, she is still honoured on coins, in artwork and in the philosophical writings of her people, who treat her as more of a mascot than a goddess. During the past couple of centuries, Britannia has taken a series of secret identities in an attempt to empathise and better understand those she has sworn to protect.

Her current guise is that of Tania Wilson, Professor of Classics and ancient history at Magdalen College, Oxford. But when needed, she conjures up her Sceptre of Power, strikes it upon the ground and transforms into her true self... RULE BRITANNIA !!!

It's not necessary to include her sceptre, AC. I leave that choice to your impeccable judgement. I'm looking forward to this !

I'm not sure how to do partial quotes so I'll just cut&paste it.

"Britannia is the patron goddess and guardian of Great Britain. A scion of Minerva, she rose to prominence and broke away from the Dodekatheon before the fall of Rome, and has been the patron deity of her island home ever since, ever-watchful and ready to defend it from all-comers."

I'm not sure what to do about this, I never said "mortal" in my original post but Britannia doesn't really qualify as mostly human. A goddess is usually immune mortal frailties which would be a little counter productive to the theme. At the time you entered I didn't know your background or I would've asked you to post someone else.

So while I would normally say no, I will leave it up to other entrants instead. If they don't care then I'll honour it, either way I won't decide anything till I post the Throwdown.

I'll go by whatever you guys decide, honestly. I see your dilemma AC.

I suppose she's technically a demi-goddess, a mortal, although extremely tough, strong and long lived descendant of Minerva (bluegrassbeast got the Scion reference :-)). Her "goddess" status was given to her by the descendant's of the modern British when she was defending her adopted home from the ravages of the Romans and the avatars of their gods, mainly Mars.

I like to think that Britannia is considered a feminist icon in modern Britain, a heroine fighting for justice, love, peace, and sexual equality .

Also, in Britannia's defence, I could totally see Wonder Woman, the new Greek Goddess of war, doing this type of promotion.

I promise I'll take whatever decision you make with grace.

If everybody else is cool with it then like I said I'll honour it.

Do let me say however that the bio is totally relevant as it plays into the thought processes behind the lotteries. I like to do these but have huge performance anxiety, the rules I set up in advance help me with this problem in several ways:
    (01) Capability - I need to know in advance that I can pull these off otherwise the tension starts to build fast. I want to surprise you and blow you away if all possible and to prepare my self I select everything but the heroes (you guys /gals). Themes might dictate types of characters as well.
    Ex:
    VictoriaDay01_zpsb93fe8e4.jpg
When I ran this one I offered up two postions to Canadian heroes. hopefully you'll notice the picture's structure is a straight line tapering off into the distance. My character and the barbecue were already in place with room to the farthest right for a cameo if it felt lame. The challenge is I didn't know who would win and with which placement, but seriously I had half the doodle plotted and pencilled before hand.
    (02) Honesty - I get accused of favoritism or cheating all the time. That also builds tension like you wouldn't believe. So I constantly change up the themes and rules and make every list available to you to attempt to keep it honest. That also means I hold everybody to the same rules, many of you have had to change entries or been pulled before the final draw.

"Also, in Britannia's defence, I could totally see Wonder Woman, the new Greek Goddess of war, doing this type of promotion."

*For sure, but there's no need for defense it simple wasn't what I asked for as I hope I've explained above.

    TLDR
If you like the themes, you enter the lottery - I have to hope you are playing as honestly by me as I am with you.
If you don't like or don't understand the themes - Ask for clarity or sit the current one out.

Damn...sorry to hear that AC. I had no idea that people would go that far in a situation where someone is offering free drawings out of community spirit and a love of the medium. That's sad to hear.

I only added a part of Brit's bio because of your comment.......
... inspiration can be very fickle.
......I thought that maybe it would provide some inspiration if the muse was being elusive :-)

I entered the draw in the spirit that it was intended AC. I love superheroes, I love what you're doing here and I love a worthy cause. I honestly thought that Britannia was a good representative for the theme. As I said mate, I'll respect whatever you decide.

    Also....DON'T GO!

Oh, and as regards the supposed "controversy" here...

Just because Brittania's unaging doesn't necessarily mean she's completely immortal. She should really be screened for breast cancer too.

As my wife's chest tattoo says, "SAVE THE TA-TAS!!"

Cool and no worries pal. The drawing is about half ways done and I waited for feedback to be fair to the others.

I am trying to be the bigger man here but I really wish people would stop replying with messages like she fits, or it doesn't matter or she won. She didn't and I made the call on the original post, and Britannia said I'll go by whatever you guys decide, honestly. I see your dilemma AC. Which by the way was very big of you and I appreciate it.
All I really wanted to know was should I go ahead anyways or did people want me to re-roll, remember, if I pulled her from the list, somebody else would have won. Anyways the show of support was enough to start the doodle so please do not respond to this new post negatively.

Britannia if your as big a comic fan as I am, I think you are going to be pleased. The drawing should be up this weekend.

So in needing to find a new approach for my Breast Cancer Awareness Month doodle, I decided to add a certain, world famous bio-chemist, to be a guest star and have him deliver the tagline I wanted to accompany the picture. In my mind Britannia, being larger than life, might require or want the attention of larger than life doctor. Sadly, I discovered my ribbon loop was a little small and began to disappear into the background so I had to add a few "forced" shadows to bring it back in the foreground.

    Hello Heroes
(ooc) I'm having some family issues and could use a distraction. I'm going to run an older lottery but with a minor twist, it's normally called the Hero Throwdown but this time around were going to call it the Marvel Throwdown.
What happens when two heroes are forced to to team up to take down a common foe? A super brawl, and that's what I going to run, Marvel (Hero) Throwdown. Which mainstream Marvel Hero would you Throwdown with in a classic superhero battle? What I need from you is the name of your hero, their affiliation and which hero they would Throwdown with. This is not about RP, it's about getting your geek on. I'll close this sometime Thursday night, not sure when because of the family stuff but it will be a quick one regardless.

Standard Lottery Rules (these never change):
    (1) Post the name of your hero, affiliation and the hero you would Throwdown with.
    (2) Post your global name.
    (3) Post a full body, full color picture of the hero (doesn't need to be big, just showing head to toe).
    * the screen-cap does not need to be posted till a winner is announced, no screen cap no doodle however.

Feel free to ask me questions here or in game. One thing I will stress is no dark vigilantes or anti-heroes, this is the Hero Throwdown not let's tangle with Deadpool.

*Thanks for that, I hope so too.

Feel free to ask me questions here or in game. One thing I will stress is no dark vigilantes or anti-heroes, this is the Hero Throwdown not let's tangle with Deadpool.

    Ratasassin@esalmighty with Deadpool

    Edit:

I didn't read beyond the instructions. I'll just pass then because my heroes could all be considered "anti" considering which comics you are reading or time period.

    Edit.Edit.

Apparently I hit qoute and not edit.

Again, I'll toss my entry into the ring with Glimmer@kallethen versus Dazzler.

Flashy lights against flashy lights... better wear sunshades before observing that fight.

Hello Heroes, sorry it's later than I would normally like but lets wrap it up.

    (1) Post the name of your hero, and the hero you would Throwdown with.
    (2) Post your global name.
    (3) Post a full body, full color picture of the hero (doesn't need to be big, just showing head to toe).
    * the screen-cap does not need to be posted till a winner is announced, no screen cap no doodle however.

    Marvel Throwdown (the official list)
    (01) Lion Heart (@Liath) and Union Jack
    (02) Dr Destiny@jonsills vs Dr Strange.
    (03) Fast Track@milleniumguardian with Speed from the Young Avengers.
    (04) Mariner@prestochango versus Submariner.
    (05) Blunt Force@Mal666 and Hulk!
    (06) Khana the Huntress@gorinzachian vs. Hawkeye

"I'll just pass then because my heroes could all be considered "anti" considering which comics you are reading or time period."
*Lol, I doubt that but totally respect your decision.

Removed my placeholder and rolled as a d6. The die faces a "6", "Congratz to Khana the Huntress! "
Thanks to everybody who joined up, and I'll get started on this as soon as the screen-cap gets posted to the thread.
