Calling all annoying character comments!
How many people have annoying comments or misconceptions about their main characters?


So my main toon is Ratasassin not Ratassassin or Rat who is an assassin, simply Rat-a-sass-in. But at least three times a week someone will inform me, "oh you spelled assassin wrong"

No...no I didn't. Reason I didn't is because I didn't spell assassin. The idea for my name was yes, a rat assassin but I wanted it to be pronounced like the Pixar film(or food) ratatouille(rat-a-too-we) SO...let all just clear up these characters misconceptions. Please introduce your name and state your issue like....(and please have fun in here, Lord Cheesus demands it)

    It's supposed to be pronounced:

    Cal-iga ( Ka-lehguh )

    The game won't let me name her "Kagami The Magical Cat Girl", that's why it's spelled Gurl.

    Same for "Mikuru the Sneaky Ninja Cat Gurl". Apparently the game is racist against Cat Girls.

    I don't know how many time I get called "Battle".

    I dunno how hard it is to put into context from the full name "Battle Bot Punchy" that "Punchy" is the name portion, where "Battle bot" is more of an adjective title.

    I sometimes get just "bot" too. I'm... more okay with that than just "battle" for some reason.

    People intentionally leaving out the y in my character named Shoey. Shoe-wy like chewy.

    Its even more amusing considering that people pronounce Xy GGu correctly.

    For me personally it is the fact that my Imp's are demons and so constantly asked to join random demon themed RP SG's for some reason despite clearly being in a SG already which I am leader of. Worst thing is even if I did RP technically my Imp's are demons but they are created by technology.

    People used to get confused on why I had dots between the I, M and P (I.M.P.) and ask what it stood for.

    Not just in CO, but in any online environmetn where my name is [adjective] [noun], people only ever call me by the first word of my name.

    If my character name was "Just call me Steve", people would probably adress me as "Just".

    People always seem to get Turando confused with Tornado. Yes, his name is spelled T-U-R-A-N-D-O on purpose.

    I get a lot and people not getting that the character is supposed to be a pain in everyone's ****. If the pun in the name "Miss Behavin" wasn't enough of an indication of what you're in for, I don't know what is.

    People who think he should be taller. I know that probably drives him crazy, even though he does have sausage legs. :D

    My favorite misconception is an RP one basically. Oh you're character is a werewolf? Well then I know all these weaknesses about your character, even though it's meta knowledge and OOC information that I technically couldn't know. Wait, your character doesn't follow Hollywood rules? Well then you aren't playing your character right. :confused:

    And of course when I try to RP the fact that I have done everything in this game, every last mission and the badges to back it up, people accuse me of meta gaming or god moding quite regularly. A lot of them I call wannabe RPers because they don't take the simple fact that I do RP out and actually have such stories written down for my character the adventures I do. And they of course try to hand wave it and say that's just grinding, just like they claim levels don't matter. :rolleyes:

    Major Nuisance- why is it called that? it states in the social comment. I consider all force users including my own to be major nuisances.


    Leafchaser- described in her comments as - small, cute freindly and STUPID.

    Not really a misconception of my player characters personally, but I loath when people refer to my patriots as Candian, so dismissively rude. I can live the the stereo type jokes but that term is just annoying.

    My character Chance, used to be called Lucky Star. But I got fed up with anime fan boys pming me every other day when they saw my character to say that it was a sucky anime. WHICH I HAD NEVER HEARD OF. Or Worse they would take my name to mean i was a fan of this anime and use it to insult me in the attempt to win arguments on zone (a pointless excercise).

    It's more of a minor annoyance than anything but I disliked when people misspelled Bunni with a y instead. Of course now I have Bunny N.O.T. so it's a moot point when people get it all mixed up :P

    Otherwise most of the misconceptions in regards to Bunni are that she's an ERP character. A quick read of her bio or a PM clears it up usually though ^.^

    And Sister for the longest time I thought there was an e at the end, but that's cause I have a stupid habit of adding e's to the end of words at random :P

    People that have read my primus keep calling Nepht an alien invader.

    Tis a little bit wrong as Nepht comes from a computer game version of the Champions PnP universe, shes only being an invader when I am playing the PnP game. Might take the slower people here a little while to figure out whats going on here :P

    Get called WarcLan all the time.

    No idea what that is supposed to mean. WarCan is a parody character of War Machine (from Iron Man, whose parody character is Tin Can and his suit is a modified industrial-sized soup can).

    These same people are the ones who for some reason always spell "turret" turreNt. Drives me nuts.

    Its GenZAIO.. not Genziao .... pet peeve of mine but sorry I just had to get that off my chest.

    (And its pronounced Jen-Zay-Yo)

    I hope this helps anyway.

    I also used to get called a robot a lot of the time because of the suit I wear... that kinda peeved me,

    It is inherited not contagious.

    You spelt Caligula wrong.

    Also, my character's birthname is Raychl, a stupid and pretentious otherworldly spelling of Rachel, and pronounced exactly the same. Because of the awkwardly chunky font in the chat box, a lot of people read it as Raychi (with an i). I don't bother to correct them, to be honest. What's the point?

    Also also, and more ego-balloon-bursting, I thought I was being creative when I made her hair bright crimson and her eyes bright green. Otherworldly genetics! Only to find that practically everyone in CO has literal red hair. I just pretend they're all posers that have to dye their hair to look like mine, a vain attempt to make myself feel better.

    mine have, white, blond, red, blue, green, brown , black, grey. i don't have one with purple hair yet.
    varying reasons.
    felicity has red hair because as a Pnp character. Distinctive appearance- red hair.
    Warden's is dyed red, due to problems with her electric powers or more precisely the inability to store the energy safely internally, her hair is actually white.

    I have 36 toons at this point. I alt around multiple times an hour. It's better to call me by my @handle.

    Just call me "Roughbear" "Rough" or "Bear", not the name of the toon I am currently using.

    Unless I am doing roleplay, I try to refer to others by their handles, not the name of their current toon.

    It's more of a joke than anything, but some people I've RP'd with seemed to get the idea that rubbing my djinn character will get them three wishes.

    I guess the "dinner first" rule doesn't apply to djinn.

    oh kay, you might want to point out,
    1) it's rub the container, not the djinn(well unless they like it)
    2) only ones on punishment are in containers, not all of them.
    3) :eek:how are they rubbing what is basically a version o an elemental, varying from fire, air to all, in the lowest caste ones?
