Thanks for letting us know. It does make me wonder what sort of tangled mess the code must be though if a 'fix' for a problem in a totally different map caused this issue!
One of the strange things about Dwarven Valley and Icewind Dale is that they've never allowed you to change instances in there (wrong type of map). Maybe it's because they have PvP in them, I don't know.
Seems like the quest objectives from the previous times you do the quest are not resetting, it's the same with the mine shafts. You have to try to find ones you haven't used since the last server reset, but after a few days you run out.
As a workaround until they fix the bug I think the scrolls will still work if you use the new 'identify all' button from the bottom right menu on the inventory screen.
Same thing with two characters that had the mask from last year but not fully upgraded. The refine window promised an upgrade to level 100 but when done the item was only level 99 (but orange) and to get it to 100 supposedly needs another upgrade and more mats. Curiously opening the window again later, the promised upgrade…
It's FUBAR that you have to have ALL the epic dungeons unlocked to be able to use the random queue. Though to be honest the idea of having to do a campaign for a month just to do a new dungeon is screwed up anyway. Some people like campaign zones, some people prefer dungeons, don't force people to play one type of content…
Cryptic could of course clear the backlog easily if they lifted the 500 AD per Zen cap and let the market find its own new level. But would players be happy to pay more for their Zen to get it instantly?
It's a horrible, horrible change to make it in this way and it will probably be the push for me to stop playing. As it is I'm just in 'tickover' mode as the Jungle zone just doesn't work for me (aside: fed up of any new dungeon being tied to the zone campaign - I LIKE doing new dungeons, but I don't enjoy, or have the time…
I guess this is the same bug. Switched to 2nd loadout and got popup on the powers pane 'powers are invalid would you like to use a free respec?' clicked 'ok' but nothing happened and can't spend points on anything. Same popup reappears whenever I go back to the power pane.
As far as powers go it would be nice if we could save several action bar sets (in the same loadout) and have a quick way to switch between them. Opening the powers window and then dragging and dropping things to change them is clunky, clunky, clunky.
It could have been worse, you might have got the companion experience tomes, which your companion undoubtedly doesn't need and which you can't even discard!
Also, the launcher claims the maintenance starts at 14:00 UTC and this is now an hour out, since we're just past 13:00 UTC and it's already started. If you're going to give UTC times please make sure they are correct!
Actually it DOES matter. If all the team end up dead at the same time (and I've personally seen that happen three times now), the skirmish is over, you've lost. I suspect that some AE attacks can reflect to the whole team not just the caster as that's the only explanation I have for a mass death. But I've never got around…
The Foundry, done well would lift this game up like no other. I'm still amazed at the quality some people manage even with the state it's in. But it probably needs a complete re-write and my suspicion is that Cryptic are not going to do that because they can't justify it when it won't run at all on consoles. But imagine,…
I like the basic feel of the MOD and the storyline, just as I liked the feel and story of SKT, but then you discover the sheer grind built in and slowly all the fun gets sucked out of it. Just because making the game is a job for the devs, they shouldn't make playing the game a job too!
My personal bugbear, drag and dropping items into the 'refine' window. 1) If you move a stack of something, you get asked how many you want to use for refinement. The default should be all of them and you should only be asked 'how many' if you do a shift-dragdrop. 2) If you don't drop *exactly* into a free box in the…
It's fun up to a point, but it's very susceptible to lag issues as with all stuff of this nature done in an MMO, though Neverwinter does seem particularly bad about character positioning when there is any hint of a network delay.
It's time they raised the level cap again, it's the only proper way to sort out this mess. Myself I see little point in grinding for gear that gives a marginal improvement when I can already do all the content there is with the gear I have. It's the same with top-end refining, what's the point? To kill something five…
I hate scammers as much as the next person, but I think people should stop letting themselves get wound up about it. Remember the definition of 'gift', something you give with no expection of anything in return. If you get something back it's a bonus. So give your gifts to people in that spirit and you'll never be upset if…
Hell they could even revitalise the Foundry just by making it drop Voninblod! I'm sure lots of people would prefer to actually run content for that stuff rather than mindlessly clicking on relics or chasing from HE to HE.
The only time this will get fixed is when/if they raise the level cap again. That effectively acts as a 'gear reset' and would let them rebalance stuff to their heart's content. Of course, whether they would get it right or not is another matter!
It's weird type of content when you force people to repeat the same things over and over if they want to 'progress', except the progression itself seems to be fairly pointless as by the time you get to the 'rewards' you don't actually need/want them. In other MMOs where you repeat end game content its all about overcoming…
Same issue as a DC with a remapped TAB key (in my case to mouse button 5), couldn't bait the hook. I was however able to fish if I set the TAB key back to default, but that's not good, as I'm very used to having the TAB function on my mouse. Remapping back to the mouse and fishing wouldn't work again.
I not sure if the devs understand what a grind it is to get 3.1k IL if you're a relatively new player, so a large part of the player base is cut off from running FBI even if they wanted to. There's also no particular reason to focus on IL above 2.5k since more power progression comes from things that don't give any IL at…
I worked my through the new zones and enjoyed the storylines - until I got the quest to do the Fangbreaker Island dungeon. Up to that point I hadn't checked what the gating on the new dungeon was. When I found out, I felt very let down. The 28% Everyfrost resistance seemed a little extreme but it was the 3.1k IL that…
