Here's something interesting I just discovered; Whatever is happening is apparently stopping ALL sound on my computer when STO is running. I started some music in iTunes and then launched STO, as soon as I got to the character menu iTunes just stopped. As soon as I closed STO iTunes started back up again.
I got a new wireless headset and now I have no sound in STO. The headset works find with every other game, video, and any other source of sound. I checked the audio options, and my headset shows up as the audio output. I turned all the audio up to 100%, still nothing. I tired turning the headset on after I got into game,…
I have, which I should have mentioned, several times. I've even tired waiting to turn the headset on once I am in game, then it just tells me that there is no sound driver. Also, I plugged my old headset in and had sound. STO just seems to refuse to actually send audio to the wireless headset.
I've found the probe, just can't seem to solve it even though I am fairly certain that I have solved it. Edit: Never mind, I seem to have solved it wrong.
They took that out ages ago, though I checked just to be sure and there is no project. And it appears that the Terran Task Force costume is under the regular 'Uniform' section.
At the moment they are under the Featured Episode tab, which I assume is why they can't be skipped atm. Once they are moved to the Iconian tab I am sure they'll be skip-able.
I ran into the same issue; until I noticed it was also in my powers tray. So I moved it to my hotbar and clicked it and got the message, as well as all the old Sector Block voice overs.
I noticed a Vortex in the Undine Battlezone, it looked like the effect from a Gravametric Torpedo, only it just stayed there. Was not sure what caused it or if it was a glitch or not.
One thing I noticed while playing the most recent episodes, and the ques, is that we only seem to see 1 Iconian. We've been told that the Iconians are few in number, so what if this whole war is only with 1 Iconian or a small group of Iconians.
I'd love for their to be a Cardassian faction, even implemented like the Romulans. I actually enjoyed how they Romulans were introduced. My main thought is: Where are you getting this information?
Lets see: My Fed is at 60 and completed everything. My KDF is currently 55 and starting the Borg Arc. My Reman is 53 and has just completed the Freedom Arc.
You're not the only one to run into this problem, there are several posts in the bugs section. I actually ended up re-rolling my KDF DR because of it, then made the same mistake on my Reman DR. Made a bug report on both, ID #3.369.858, though the ticket does not show up when I look at my tickets. And the problem seems to…
Ran into the same issue. Unfortunately the only way I found to solve it was to start a whole new character, luckily the extra XP allowed me to level very quickly.
