The Lifetime Membership is "on sale" a couple of times per year. Mine is for the personal-computer version of Star Trek Online. I seriously suggest reading the "fine print". Personally, I see zero need to overhaul or even tweak the current lifetime membership. New content costs money to make. If you don't want it, then…
It's November 19th., 2024 as I type this. I've just read about the STOwiki, via this topic. When I perform internet searches, most of my results still point to the fandom wiki, which still exists (obviously). If I get results which point to the new wiki, at least now I'll know that it is valid and not some "knock-off"…
Was trying to travel from Qonos to New Romulus, yesterday (April 2nd., 2024) and the autopilot wouldn't do it (the ship continued to fly straight, towards Drozana approximately, at half-speed). I clicked on one of the star systems near New Romulus, and then the autopilot accepted the input.
This morning, while playing a Federation character who is flying a Romulan Malum Warbird (T-6,X2) I completed the "Coliseum" episode and chose the Reman Prototype Shield as my reward option from the mission. For the curious, the reward shield from the Coliseum episode DOES NOT work with the Reman equipment which is…
For whatever reason, the forum's system put everything in the above post ^^^^ inside a 'wrapper'. Here's the copy/paste of it, for easier viewing. seaofsorrows wrote: » husanakx wrote: » wolfswetpaws#2250 if your still paying attention to this thread. I've been playing Star Trek Online for a few months, now. For me, a couple of things help when managing my Starships and Shuttles. 1. There's an option in the settings menu that prevents movement of ship equipment from one ship to another ship when you click "Ready Starship" for use. Enable this option. 2. When I want to…
To everyone who has been making an effort to help, thanks for the effort. I think some of you are missing the forest by attempting to look at the trees. Star Trek from the 1960's often only had one opposing ship (Klingon, Andorian, Tranya-drinking mega-ship and etc.) in an episode. Budget reasons? Maybe. In STO, it is…
Yes. It is nice. It hadn't occurred to me that you might be traveling or in a location with slow internet. Thanks for providing a useful dose of perspective. This topic is educational, though, to learn the "work-arounds" that people have figured-out.
Personally, I'm interested in playing in the TOS era. By disappointing experience, I learned that starting a TOS character meant that they would be forced into the "future" by in-game story-driven "time-travel" to become a "temporal agent". The whole "temporal agent" concept may appeal to some people, but I prefer to leave…
It doesn't seem to matter what skill-tree builds I use. When the game decides to send swarms of Dreadnaughts and ships twice the size of my own ship, or decides to zap my ship with the "5-4-3-2-1" special attack (I don't even know what it is, yet), then my ship is pretty much doomed and forced to respawn or I'm forced to…
I don't have a problem with the Loadout system existing as a concept. I have a problem when it is "buggy" and forgets things or attempts to retrieve things from another ship. To solve the "retrieve things from another ship" problem I did two things. ~One = change my "options" settings to prevent the game from automatically…
I've been playing a handful of weeks. I don't have a problem with Zen being an in-game currency that requires the spending of "real money" or someone being willing to trade zen for refined dilithium on "the exchange". (I've had zero success offering refined dilithium in exchange for Zen, so far. But, oh well.) Lobi…
I'm relatively "new" here. I've only been playing Star Trek Online for a handful of weeks. I do have severa years of experience with the World of Warships game and forums, though. So, when comparing STO with WOWs, .... ~WOWs forums appearance is much more user-friendly. ~WOWs, as a game, is more user-friendly to learn and…
