Ive played this game for...Well since the start I think lol!
I got into TnG and watched DS9 and Enterprise. Not a fan of the new stuff but I decided I wanted to get all the "popular ships" or Ships from the Movies and TV shows. I got the defiant, Bird of Prey, Galaxy, Sovereign, and a Romulan Warbird.
Can you not sell or buy a Constitution on the market? I was just curious and I do not think I saw it in the Zen Store
Yeah the 10th Anniversary Bundle when it goes on sale, while expensive is the best value offering in the Zen store. It’s 10 ships. The Legendary versions of all of the main hero ships, excepting the newest shows. (Really only Lower Decks and Prodigy are missing). It has the Connie with all skins as well as the Refit, the Kelvin and Discovery versions of the Connie, the Defiant, Enterprise D, E and F, Voyager, and Discovery. And it includes all skins, traits and consoles from the previously released versions of each ship.
The other thing to look at is the Temporal Ship Pack. Most of the TOS era ships do not have a T6 version. Instead there is a series of Temporal ships that can each sport the skin of a classic TOS ship.
You can buy low level connies in the regular ship store in game, but if you want a t6 connie you have 3 choices:
A: gamble packs
B: in game exchange (very expensive)
C: 10th anniversary bundle (also very expensive)
IMO option C is the best value because you get so many different connies (TOS, TMP, Disco/SNW, Kelvin) and they are all account unlocks.
Option B isn't really feasible on PC, as the price for a TOS Constitution (presumably the variant desired) sells for higher, most of the time, than the Exchange's 1.5 billion EC cap nowadays.
There is also the Free Premium Ship Coupon. If you have the one from last year, or are working on the one from this year's multi-event reward, then you can use it get to a Gamble Box's Constitution class for free (other than the time investment used on acquiring the Coupon)
Yea, for some WEIRD reason, the Constitution and a lot of other 23rd century stuff is a NO NO!, taboo, a SIN...to be on a store....yet, TNG/DS9/and Voyager is OKAY.

Thanks a heap, CBS.
What are you talking about?? They literally did an entire season update based on TOS. Added a TOS Faction. Added at least 7 TOS style ships. Not to mention there are several TOS costume options. ALL available in the store.

The tenth anniversary bundle is so ridiculously out of the price range of the majority of the playerbase that it hardly counts as a "c-store ship".
And there are no T6 TOS ships in the c-store either, only lower-tier ones that add $20 to the expense of getting the T6 "future ship" they skin over. And not only does that mean paying $50 for a $30 ship, the skins are not kitbashable like most of the ships from the earlier years of the game were.
TOS really does get the short end in the game for the most part, and there are simply no natively T6 TOS era ships in the c-store except for a few ludicrously priced Legendries.

You're splitting hairs. The accusation I was replying to was that there are NONE in the C-Store. That is demonstrably false. Price aside, they are there. I'm sure there are players who spent way more trying to get a T6 Constitution from the Lockbox when that was the only way one was available. If one wants the TOS aesthetic, it can be acquired from the C-Store.

That was a bit of monetary push when they first came out, but the prices for most of the TOS combinations is way better now. With the notable exception of the Ranger, those lower-tier ships used for unlocking TOS skins(along with all the rest of the T1-T4s) have been converted to be Dil now. Also, all of those particular C-Store ships there's a Fleet variant that you can get by grinding up 5x Reputations to Tier 6. Also, there's the TOS-ish (kind of a blend of all the 23C media TBH) Somerville/Fleet Hernandez Science Vessel.

Still, it is not the same as having TOS T6 ships in the c-store that can be purchased with a single T6 coupon like are sometimes the main prize of standalone events. They are still significantly more expensive and harder to get than T6 ships from the c-store, even the ones where the skins cost dil, especially with the changes to the phoenix upgrades costing players more dil going forward.

Personally, I'm interested in playing in the TOS era.
By disappointing experience, I learned that starting a TOS character meant that they would be forced into the "future" by in-game story-driven "time-travel" to become a "temporal agent".
The whole "temporal agent" concept may appeal to some people, but I prefer to leave my time-travel situations to the television episodes of Doctor Who.
Sometimes people seem to forget that Star Trek didn't start out with the "TOS" tacked-on to the end of its' name.
It was simply called Star Trek.

Well, the thing you have to understand here is, TOS was tacked on to the end of this game. As it is set in the 23rd century, it was necessary to bring TOS era characters forward in time to join the rest of the ongoing story. To have kept TOS characters in the TOS era would have necessitated essentially having two different stories/games going simultaneously.

A few more TOS era missions would be good though, like maybe fix the McCoy bug in Spectres that putting it into the 'Availible' tab resurrected, and a few new TOS era missions (after all, are Temporal agents who rarely go anywhen really Temporal?)
Also, sprinkling a few new ones in would be good advertisement for SNW which would be good for both the game and CBS.
not really. this game has no real flow anymore. things have changed enough that they can drop the timeline BS as a whole.
Except that they really can't. I mean, there is a definite storyline, which has a definite timeline, and that timeline takes place primarily in 2409 and moves forward. Mostly.
im with the person about the TOS portion of the game. they could have instituted a "gate" that allowed TOS players, like myself, to use the SB and other aspects of TOS.
Coulda, shoulda, woulda. But this is what we got. You're preaching to the choir here. I'm a huge TOS fan. Was watching it when it was the only Star Trek available. My TOS toons, I use story missions just for leveling and unlocking certain things. The rest of the time, I roleplay them like they're still in the TOS era. If I need the TOS atmosphere, I just take them to K-13.

What with DSC and SNW, I think we can see possibly doing some more time hopping. Forward and backward. I'd love to see a return to the TOS era, though.

One of my favorites was an older mission that was pulled for revamp. The one where the Guardian of Forever sends you back and you finally end Ambassador B'vat.
Wonder if they may add a bit of continuity with him remembering his past before you end him since Captain B'vat felt disgusted by his future self and asked for a Warrior's Death.
Going to be very rare to see on the PC's Exchange, as "Promotion!" pack ships usually go for more than the Exchange's cap. You might see it on PS/XB1 Exchange, though, as those have had less time for Energy Credit inflation to cap out the Exchange compared to PC.
Note that you'll probably need to sacrifice a goat, or a virgin, in order to GET that one. I was LUCKY to get one from a friend when she won 3 of them from a few packs she bought. That is like throwing a dart over your shoulder, with your least used hand, blindfolded, and hitting a bullseye that's swinging on a pendulum.

Yeah, I got lucky. I still haven't opened it yet, because I can't choose between the Connie and the D7. Interestingly enough, all three ships seem to have almost the same stats.

Although you are right about Connie being in the game issue is that the company priced it so far out of the player base price range unless you are some whale that most cant even afford it to get at all unfortunately. Now if the company sold as a normal priced Tier 6 ship at 30 dollars then you argument or point how ever you want to put it would have a lot more weight to it.
