First off, you asked for help regarding your script and I gave my nitpicks based upon Star Trek's massive lore. I give my feedback to help you improve your story and making it more engaging while being plausible. 2. They did show it in both The Cage and The Menagerie that the Talosians lack advanced technology and the…
Since STO is non-canon I felt inclined to include the lifting of GO7 as being relevant within the context of the non-canonicity of STO. They may have stitched her back together again shows they have rudimentary medical knowledge and that is it. There is nothing in the episodes The Cage and The Menagerie to show that they…
It's a nice story, but it really doesn't fit with the continuity as established. Here are my nitpicks. Talos is too far from the Borg. The location of Talos is near Eminar and Andor, so it would be highly doubtful that the Borg would choose Talos over juicier targets like Eminar and Andor.…
Memory Alpha states that casualties were "light" both in the battle and in the crash. People died during the crash, but no one has put a number to it. Still, Picard has had a lot more people die under his command than Kirk.
And Picard never faced The Doomsday Machine, V'Ger, or the Whale Probe, which all three entities have a higher kill score then the Borg. Yet, Kirk was able to bring his crew back with no losses for The Doomsday Machine and STIV TVH. In STTMP he lost a single crewman, Illia. You can't blame Decker's choice of merging with…
1. Don't let Brannon Braga touch it again. 2. Don't let Rick Berman touch it again. 3. Don't let JJ Abrams touch it again. 3. Do let Nicholas Meyer run it.
I present to everyone the first of a two part series showcasing the USS Majestic's interior decks that were done in the Foundry. Enjoy! http://youtu.be/Us93_cYDO68
You seem to misunderstand my point when I compared what The Original Series versus what Voyager had done. The series bible points out where Janeway always says, "That is not the human thing to do." In a universe filled with alien species and a captain of a starship is an ambassador of the Federation, when said captain says…
You refuse to touch the racism of Janeway, so that's not surprising. The source of the time travel episodes comes from Memory Alpha and they classified Parallax as time travel. It was also use of the reset button. It does have an impact on the universe and could have changed history for Eye of the Needle. Voyager was the…
The Borg are the antithesis of Mr. Roddenberry's original vision. I'm not talking about his vision over the years that evolved, but the vision that sold CBS on Star Trek in the first place. There are exactly six canon episodes of The Original Series and one major motion picture that Kirk and the Enterprise went back in…
I'm glad that you are willing to be part of this. You can email me at lordsothkbr@gmail.com with the character you are interested in playing and I can send you an invite to the production dropbox. I'll be playing Captain M'Kerl, a Caitian.
Well I don't know what your schedule is, so giving up without even trying to talk about schedules kind of defeats the purpose. One thing I would like to point out that doing a shoot isn't like you think it is. Each of the scenes in the script have at max five characters with the majority being three characters. Each of the…
I present the series bible to give everyone an understanding of what the series is about. Star Trek: Majestic Series Bible I will preface this entire bible that the series is going to be done according to Gene Roddenberry's original stated vision. As such, we have decided to adhere to a select canon. By looking at what Mr.…
I'll gladly answer your questions. The series utilizes a script that details what is going to occur in each episode, so it would be a combination of general missions and Foundry created missions tailored to the script. For example, the first two episodes are going to use the first two missions that are in STO for…
Excellent job! I really liked the transitions between the scenes. I'm looking for an editor and director for Star Trek: Majestic if you are interested. :D
In the Foundry they have a closed holodeck arch, a holodeck arch that is missing the door, and a holodeck room that has an arch for ground exterior maps. In the Details search field just type holo and you'll get them to show up.
I use a Stardate calculator to determine the date I want to use. http://www.hillschmidt.de/gbr/sternenzeit.htm The year is 2409 and I haven't seen an exact date for when the game takes place.
Nicely done and I see you incorporated some of the ideas I used on the Majestic sets like the arches. :D The only criticism I have is that it's too dark and that makes the entire station uninviting. Have you thought about using plasma leaks to add additional light? When I designed the Majestic sets, I used plasma leaks set…
I used plasma leaks. The sound is horrid, but then in the series we'll be using a custom soundtrack, so the plasma leak sound won't be there. Too bad that they didn't give us the ability to turn off sound effects of objects or change them.
I spent this morning adjusting wall consoles by moving them closer to the walls on all decks. I changed the viewscreen again because of the needs of production. The new viewscreen is Booth - L and makes it easier to green screen then the old console. By green screening we can put in visual elements into the viewable area…
September 17th Patch Notes: General * Fixed almost all of the clipping issues with the walls. * Fixed objects that didn't set on the floor or the ceiling. * Removed all of the NPCs as they wouldn't show up in demo record. * Fixed the double periods in the text boxes. Deck 1 * Switched the Command Chair from the Klingon to…
I did as you suggested for the viewscreen, but I had to use two windows to make it work. The result is a vertical metal line going through the center of the screen. lol Not my first choice, but I used it in the latest publish.
I really tried to remove the glitches, but no matter what I do they still occur. I'm glad that you liked the conference room. It was a lot of work, but I'm very pleased with how it turned out. That is definitely a nice touch. lol Edit: Now that I've thought about it, that room that you think is a combat training room is…
