Creating holodeck arches & grid?

Just what the topic titles says. Any input on good way to pull it off? It's strange that the grid patterns and arch shape don't exist pre-built to use.

In the Foundry they have a closed holodeck arch, a holodeck arch that is missing the door, and a holodeck room that has an arch for ground exterior maps. In the Details search field just type holo and you'll get them to show up.

The most common way is having the holodeck already up when players spawn on the map and use the visible / invisible ability to give the illusion of a holodeck program activating. You have the map disappear, and have buildings or NPCs appear.

I believe there is a tutorial on that by the UGC Podcast Team. Which the videos can also be found on Youtube.

Hmm. Really? Guess I missed it then. Was looking for the arch and never saw it. Works for me! Thx.

Beware: the arch is what's called a one sided prop.

this means that when seen from the front it looks fine, but if seem from the back it's partially transparent.
