12 patches to make it to the loading screen... Loading screen froze... I had to crash the client via Task Manager... Tried to launch the game again and got "unable to start client".... Sadly... I bet most of the Dev team is off today for "good Friday"....

So the answer is keep patching until it works? Like... How in 2023 is this an acceptable fix? Like... Is the game so outdated you can't apply a patch using modern day coding?

Patch did not resolve the issue... Still unable to connect to server....

2 hours since the post and still nothing.. Can't blame STO... I think the entire Dev team is down to like 15 people in total.

This started a few hours ago. Removed patching, verified files, uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Still no luck in logging in...

Thank you Admiral Van Wormer! I joined The 7th Fleet back in 2009, prior to Star Trek Online launching in 2010. It's extremely enjoyable being in a fleet with so much History and Culture as the 7th Fleet has!

I totally agree. With as large as the shuttle bay is, it would be a nice place for combat troops/medics staging area, preparing to go somewhere.

I thught, for the Fed side, the first contact day mission was lame. It really could have been a non combat mission actually relatingto first contact day.. I've been playing this game since closed beta, and i'm still not blown away..

This conversation has gone way off the track.. All I was asking for were enlisted and Officer ranks for a MACO/Marine type division for Fleets to use for RP purposes. :-)

This is what I don't understand about the Trek community... The JJ movies are a spin off of what could have been (an alternate timeline). The only difference between these movies and TNG, Voyager, DS9, TOS - all going back in time, is that it wasn't corrected at the end of the movie. Perhaps the time line will be corrected…

Small fleets will never be in-line with larger fleets, it just can't be balanced. The best thing for small fleets to do is actively recruit. It's like when developers try to balance a game between PVP and PVE, it causes more chaos then good.

I don't often show my displeasure on the forums, but I have to agree. Stop with the daily tiny fixes, bring the sever down for several hours and fix everything at once.

My fleet has around 40 - 50 active members and we're at T-4 working on T-5. I think the costs are fine. Starbases should take longer then a few months to max out. My advice is to recruit new fleet members if you're having a hard time with resources.

Most companies don't understand that Mac's have become more popular than the PC but they still don't develop for them.

First impression is underwhelming.. It's more of the same, there is nothing that I"m excited about that makes me want to leave other games to come back and play this.
