You're right, part of me says reduce the exchange to a far simpler form, 250 dil for every zen. Classic clean cut. I KNOW that is a bad idea but the weird part of my brain says there will be no reason to "balance" the dil exchange because everything will be one price.

I always looked at lockbox market and the EC exchange as that (a plaything for the greed-ridden). With the quite high price ships have in the c-store the dil exchange gives people a way to cut those prices down by just playing the game.

The dil exchange is one of the major pros under Cryptic's belt. I can't think of another MMO that lets you do anything close to that.

You make the dil sink too small and you get what happened with the fleet holdings and upgrading. Everyone will "finish" it and then we're right now where we started. I will never buy those outfits but I know there is a few dil barons willing to buy it and that is a good thing. Dil can be pulled out of the air pretty easily…

Dil transferring combined with contraband was the biggest and simplest way to create a lot of dil. While targeting contraband did help I say there is more to be done. Near the end of the mirror ships releasing a few weird ships got mirrored, I think the b'rel and t'varo was two of them. I'm guessing making these weird outliners part of the "new endgame" could be against Cryptic's cryptic plans

The reason why I feel iffy about crossfaction fleets is how strongly fleets are connected to factions. There is fleet weapons, pets, ships, how fleet holdings look compared to each other, and more things I might have forgot.
