I don't understand where communication should be required at all. I don't talk to random pugs, nor do i need to. Its been ages since I've even had an optional fail on an ESTF. Most people know the drill by now, and aside from the occasional newbie or troll its a non issue getting them done.

Not rolling need is counter productive to making EC from running STFs. Simple solution is get in a good fleet. We rarely if ever pug STFs anymore and everyone rolls need on everything, post STF we see if anyone actually needs anything that dropped and 9/10 times it just ends up as vendor trash... then again if anyone…

It all comes down to the HYT they launch, handle it right the cube kills itself. The numbers are a bit arbitrary the important part is everyone needs to be able to solo a cube, know where to properly position themselves in the STF at all times, and have a proper grasp of what skills to use and when.

If you cannot solo a standard cube in an elite STF in less than 20 seconds you need to reevaluate your setup or get better. A ship needs to be able to do this on its own if it is a useful contribution to the team.
