KDF allowed in FED Starbase fleet def ?

I just completed Starbase Fleet Def. There was a KDF player between us Feds, fighting against hordes of ... KDF o_O? Bug? Is the queue open to both sides? Weird.

    Yea me and a fleetie wound up in the FED queue on our KDF. Couldnt attack the Orion NPCs but we could attack the starbase. So we did, nothing bad happend it just went to 0% and became untargettable. Couple of the fed players whined, one even went as far as bailing and said he was "going to the forums with handles" and placed all the KDF who ended up in there on ignore. Don't know what that will accoplish but getting banned over the PTS is just sad.

    Bug report filed on the issue as well.

    Same here, ended up with 2 other KDF on a team, only thing we could target was the starbase.
    We could throw heals on the Feds, but also on the attacking klingon and orion ships.

    Thinking about it this could be an awesome pvp event.

    That's kind of what I thought. Oddly enough I did get in and do some testing. Apparently if the Fed Starbase is destroyed in the match, the KDF players get credit. So far that's the only way I've seen yet to get any merit points.

    I also didn't notice a second starbase defense mission like there is on the FED side, but that could be due to the low level of the Kryptic Klingon starbase. I'm not sure.

    I had the opposite situation, there was one KDF member, and the KDF starbase, which was promptly destroyed; while escorting, the one KDF member had to try to solo all the Federation ships...I ended up warping out early, was too surreal for my taste.
