I don't understand why this limit exist to begin with, hell a torrent has more kick than most omnis and that's not saying much. With that said the Tetryon omni getting this change is just flat out wrong given in the blog post for the set, that one particularly was designed to work with other set omni-beams, it acts as a…
While I agree in part, I don't see advanced being heavily used. I personally burn out of these multi day events fairly early (especially the 20+ day ones) to the point that I que, mindlessly press a few keys, then come to a minute or two after the tfo is over. So I would be in advanced 3, maybe 5 days, then mindnumb the…
I would love to see this, made a thread about it about a month ago, and I believe there have been other threads for it in the past as well. I'm sure it will happen eventually, if the sales numbers will justify the time for the dev crew... or maybe a event reward like the breen ships
I'll be honest, wasn't fond of the ship design when I first saw it but it's defiantly growing on me. in contrast the stats are fantastic, add on the breen equipment and this would make one hell of a "Fire and Ice" theme
took some slight digging, it was 11 years ago but: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpWuS81BQ5M&ab_channel=JusticeGaming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkGnX5g289U&t=11s&ab_channel=JusticeGaming
I wasn't blowing things up so no (just kidding, but I barely remember the anniversary mission, most of those early years gets fuzzy when I try to remember it.)
I remember the 2nd anniversary even missions "The Odyssey Class" and "The Bortas Class" that introduced the t5 versions of these flagships to the game.
I would like to see the Breen story remastered and made to fit the full story arc again, or maybe just some new missions to fit, either way would be nice to see the Breen again. they seem to be forgotten except in Q winter wonderland.
Just finished the final ep. while at work (Show on a second screen while I work on my main screen) and how dare they make me feel! I cried in my office in the middle of the ep. and the surprise at the end had me speechless.
These ships were beautiful works (inside and out) that the devs had to have put a lot of time into to make unique but still keep the factions feel and style imbedded into them. It feels a shame that they are under utilized now because of their aged stats
Cryptic already told me my idea of "fun" was "wrong" when they removed the 3 hour long, 5 player, able to be failed, borg missions. You want to bring the fun? stop with this "Everyone gets a trophy" grind fest and put some challenge back into the game.
Trygvar13, it is not just a gift, it is a reward for being active in the game. Just speculating here but I believe the purpose of the so-called grind to achieve ships is to keep the players that are collectors in the game the longer you were in the game the hearts chance you are buying something. Yes Star Trek Online is a…
While I appreciate the idea of the original missions being shortened down and placed in the story arc it kinda defeats the purpose in my eyes. The Borg story line despite the advances is still more or less intact with the exception of the old stfs where key elements got lost in the split and yet while the Borg are supposed…
I have it and it's not bad, still needs work on reliability but I'm with you, ARC serves no benefit to me other than the occasional freebee. Frankly it's a waste of space and resources but it'll be mandatory eventually so I give up and report what bugs I find in hopes it won't be a complete disaster when the final version…
No on 9 but for different reasons, to make interiors useful you don't take an already available feature and restrict it like that, you come up with a new feature for the interior itself. How about a battle simulator where you sit in the chair and bark orders thine staring at the viewscreen. Maybe set it as a way to test…
Wow, this took a while to pop up, thought I'd see this post sooner. Every box someone yells about the money they spend, the way I see it I should Thank you for keeping the servers up, meet me at ESD sometime, we can share a bottle of Romulan Ale. (It's Okay, I'm a Romulan Ambassador)
First off I agree with chalpen above, a story making non faction ships more cannon believable would go a long way. The popularity of anti-proton weapons is only partly due to it's crit ability, another reason I'd point to is availability, Borg, 8472, and Voth Rep system offer ship anti-proton and all reps except Romulan…
Under 300 you won't find much, I have an HP Pavilion Dv7 that was 700+ a few years (3 or 4) back (still valued at about 500) and have to use low settings on it, granted I keep it only for the blu-ray burner it has. STO will run on windows 8/8.1 Yes but you'll need to up your budget.
Al seemed overly defensive in his comment, I'm not fond of the undine box, it's the only box I don't like and it's personal, from a combination of having a bad taste in my much from them changing the Rep and traits systems into new types of gear and a lack of understanding with the undine ships. But it's personal, I'm not…
The game use to drop anti Borg phasers, disruptors, and quantums in space Borg stfs, vary similar to this torpedo, would be nice if they brought all these specialized weapons back.
No rewards will be removed, but the mission will be set in the story line and restricted to lvl 50 characters. So if you have a character or two that are not lvl 50 yet and you want the reward now then do it now
