I'm fairly new to sto. What's defined as a "third party vendor"? I went online learning about sto when I first started playing and came across websites like sto club and mmo tank which sold commodities for sto and/or other games. Would these be the "third party vendors" you warn about? I've never been sent solicitations by…
Does this happen in pvp or pve? My first impression is you MUST be talking about pvp, because there is NO WAY you can't do some damage in pve. That being said, I've been playing this game only since 9/2016, but I've never played even one pvp match. For right now, cultivating nine characters, pve is enough to keep me…
Sorry, what I meant was, previously the ships were listed and all stats and description could be read, but it had no price so it couldn't be bought. Same as the Yellowstone runabout. It's in the ship listing at the requisition Lt., but without a price it can't be bought. When the pilot escorts could be seen, it couldn't be…
Yes, those exact ships. I should have taken a screen shot. I check the c-store everyday hoping to see the pilot escorts released. For a while they could be found at the requisition lt at Earth spacedock with 0 zen price, but they've been taken down.
Don't get me wrong, I understand your pov. My 23c character is wearing 25c communicator yet she is still using a flip top communicator. Meh, I'd be SUPER impressed if a developer paid that much attn to detail, but tbh, I don't expect it. I actually expect to see things like this in vido games, so I ignore it.
Yeah, you need one to get the account wide rewards from the weekly events. Delete the capt when it's over if you want, I probably will. Don't know yet.
A lot of people speak to dps, unfortunately, I haven't been playing enough to figure out how dps is measured after all boosts and capt modifiers. The ship plays a big part. A cannon doesn't work to well on a Yamato dreadnought. Having said that, on ships where cannons or beams will work, I tend to go with cannon forward…
Meh. There are so many ways to get admiralty ships that I couldn't care less one way or the other. After a while, I runout of slots to run an admiralty mission before I run out of good ships to do them, so I personally don't care. Last thing I need is another ship just sitting there wishing it had a mission slot to be…
I tend to dry dock ships that can't be reclaimed (lobi), bought with dilithium, fleet, or t5u. After that it's sorta random based on which I like most. But if I need space, I'll dump all except the ones listed previously. Since most ships bought with zen can just be reclaimed as often as I want, there's no reason to save…
If you're talking about the Miranda and not Nebula, why would you want it? In ds9, during the Dominion war, they were all destroyed immediately. I mean, some of them we f**ked up. I asked why they were still using a ship from the Wrath of Khan days? When watching ds9, I began to see the Miranda as the red shirt crewman on…
Wow. Thank you all for this info and I really appreciate info about the fleet ship module. You have NO IDEA how much that was puzzling me. I couldn't figure out why some ships required 5 and others 1. I thought it was about the value of the ship. Unfortunately for console players, we haven't had the r&d and fleet mechanic…
Thanks for the tip. Yeah, the defiant has been my favorite ship in star trek movie/tv lore so I've bought every one of them. You're right, I needed to buy one for the cloak and one for the quad cannons. I also had to get one for the sao paulo warp engines. I'm putting all my hopes in the pilot escorts for klingon and…
In terms of this continued argument of console vs pc anniversary (referring to how people keep writing the console anniversary will be in Sept because that's the release on console). I interpreted sto's anniversary as the anniversary of the IP/Franchise... NOT the system it was made on.
Check the news post on your console in-game. I could have sworn there was an anniversary event Feb 14. It may be for the star trek franchise, not this game though, I'm not totally sure. Now, in terms of this continued argument of console vs pc anniversary. I interpreted sto's anniversary as the anniversary of the…
Account wide ships. It's not like 900 crystals is easily or cheaply obtained. Buying a ship from the c-store can be cheaper than getting 900 crystals. If the c-store ships are accnt wide, the lobi ships definitely should be
Thank god. I like the fed tact p-escort's characteristics, but I'm not big on how it looks. Thanks for the replay and the heads up. I can't wait til consoles get these ships. I'm very very happy with my t6 defiant class ship, but I haven't found an escort for the romulan or klingon factions that I like as much as I do the…
Imo the only downside to klingon or romulan faction is the lack of ships. Fed has more ships to buy on the cstore. Romulan is a little better than klingon because I can buy the t4 or below ships at the ship requisition officer for the faction I allied myself with.
I have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe it's a PC expansion or mission that console doesn't have yet, I play on xbox. But I don't remember anyone ever telling me I had to go to ds9 to read a log. Missions, yes, but not a log.
Thank you, gentleman, for your help. I seems, with console at least, what needs to be done is room made, leave the character, wait 10-15min, and when going back in the overflow DOFFs get moved. Not too sure I like this way, I'd rather have the immediate and direct control PC has, but oh well. As long as I can use them now.…
@cryticarmsman: On console I doesn't work that way. When I highlight the beam r&d officer I need I have the following options: A= Select (clicking this provides either "more details" or "destroy") X= Move all to inventory (clicking this greys out the option, but nothing happens) Y= Split (greyed out and unusable) B= Back…
Appreciate the video. I personally don't have an interest in 22nd/23rd cen ships, but thanks for the video. Just a suggestion from a console player, I know a lot of people on this forum are pc players as sto has been on pc for several years. I also can understand it's easy to forget that there are now more than just pc…
The "smart-alecky" post you're referring to goes back to your point of no one being required to help me. What help did he provide? All he did was chastise me for not doing a search. You want me to be polite, no problem, but be so initially as well. The post you're referring to was in response to an initial chastise. So,…
