    DS9 is good for Omega.

    uh...

can't think of another reason to bother with it after the missions are done.
Dabo maybe? Think I remember a Dabo table. Was there a Dabo table? I'm sure there was a Dabo table.
But I was looking for illegal alcohol at the time, so can be sure.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe it's a PC expansion or mission that console doesn't have yet, I play on xbox.

But I don't remember anyone ever telling me I had to go to ds9 to read a log. Missions, yes, but not a log.

It's part of the Reputation System. You end up getting 'Missions: to read logs at DS9 Operations' for some of them. and apparently, the Lukari Rep does this too.

This topic does not apply to the console version of the game. The content in question is not yet available to you console players.

I think there's maybe 2 missions per faction that send you to the bridge. Maybe 2. Maybe 3.
and one that suffers from a typo that sends you to the brig.

not everyone has diplomacy maxed out on all their alts so no, its not "just a transwarp away"

also as someone else said, it would be pretty cool for the "library computer" to get copies of the story blogs

DS9 is the major Fed installation in the quadrant

I question even that much, myself. It's an old, admittedly crappy Cardassian station not even close to being up to Starfleet standards even before the Dominion war, why would it never be replaced? Logically, there should be a nice roomy and shiny new Starbase there with the original DS9 to the side as a museum / cultural commerce center with all important Starfleet functions headquartered on the new base.
I agree. It should be moved back to orbit Bajor and made a museum. With a more modern and defensively capable installation built at the wormhole, to avoid a repeat of "Second Wave."

We're told repeatedly that nobody goes to their ship interiors, but when something like this comes along that could require us to go there, and actually give bridges a purpose in the game, they don't use them.

If you don't give us reasons to go there, of course nobody will.

Agreed - this does feel like a missed oportunity to give us a reason to visit our bridges.
It would be as bad a reason to visit our bridges as it is a bad reason to visit DS9.

The mission pops up a window to tell us the message exists, it should just give us the message in that window and be done with it.

Is anyone else tired of this?

Not really, no. I don't find them to be that big of a deal.
Can we please consider allowing us to read these logs from a more convenient location?

In the grand scheme of things that need to be fixed in this game, is this really that big of a deal? DS9 is a transwarp away.

Honestly, seems to me people are finding any little thing to complain about.

Think about it if you have alts all doing the reputation. I have 10 of those and if each rep tier calls for a DS9 visit one little thing to complain about all of sudden turns into 50 little things to complain about. Now that’s the third reputation in a row that calls for a DS9 visit so all in all... its annoying.

I have 17 alts (and counting) all doing the reputation and it still doesn't bother me. Honestly, it's just not that big a deal to travel to DS9 and make a few mouse clicks.

Takes me roughly 30 minutes each time I want to get that mission out of my sight on all my toons. If I want to get them to their usual doff locations afterwards (and with trans warp on CD) we talk about an hour at least here. Likely more.

For me this is a big deal as I simply could imagine to do something more fun with my online time than looking at loading screens for nothing but each to his own I guess. :/

Don't do that reputation if it's that much of a hassle for you. You don't need it anyway.

Thanks for the advice, I’m sure you mean well but I intend continue to handle it like I would do it in real live.

I simply get it done to gain my benefits but won’t hesitate to say out loud that it stinks! :)

Only if you've reached the point of unlocking it. Otherwise, like for the majority of my alts that are level 50+ and doing reps that have not unlocked it, I have to warp to defera, exit and then travel to DS9 etc.

Up front: I've got nothing to do with Reputations, and know little of the logs or why they are being used.

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but all of the work that had been done on the DS9 revamp was just some whiteboxing of the Promenade/Quarks. It's not even a complete space, there are no textures, no lighting, etc. It was just barely started before we shifted gears.

It's still on the menu, but I don't know when we're getting back to it.

Well you have boxes, not logs... or the logs are in the boxes, or something like that, anyway, i hope you get to do a remodel of DS9

Fair enough. Personally, I find having to claim/discharge ships across alts just to collect the Admiralty cards more annoying.

Meh, why bother? You don't really need it anyway. Find something fun to do with your time.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

The most hilarious thing with the new Lukari Reputation is that - when you go to look, you can currently see and read ALL the Lukari Rep 'transmissions' (regardless of the Rep level you're completed) - and IF they had any voice over work done for them, it's not hooked up.

    Defera's pretty close though.

Actually it's almost as close as the warp point that t4 marauding gives you.

Is it super spoilery? Like, does the info in those transmissions look like it spoils future missions?

I hate grinding rep and would love to get them all done at once, I just don't want to spoil the story for myself. :)

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

Spoiler Alert!: Nope. other than giving some info on what some character has been doing, it has nothing to do with any of that. It's more of a follow-up of the storylines or time periods or factions (TOS).
