Right now Carrier pets are not in a very good place. They are incredibly dumb, often do not want to go to full impulse to keep up with the owner ship, have issues with docking/recall and often seek out the nearest warp-core explosion's and die. I have this issue as well. I got a ship for my gorn to test out and see if I enjoy them. Now I can't find the Mega Bundle for the Multi Mission ships in the C-store for 13000 Zen anymore.

Well they work. Launch, fight, intercept, and they use abilities. Recall often doesn't work or they start bouncing off some invisible bubble with some of my carriers/dreadnought.
