Days Of Doom

If don't know how to do that TF. Then ask! Getting real old haveing players flying around staring at the dreadnought warp core. Or grabbing it and camping out. If there are players who a diliberatly doing it wrong (which there shouldn't be I would hope), refrain from playing that tf please. Other than that, I am more then willing to explain that TF to any player needing help. I am not trying to be a horse's backside here. If you seriously don't know how that TF works, I will help you. :)

lol.. I seriously doubt that the people that don't know how to do that one (or many of the queues) are even on the forums. Either way, complaining about it isn't going to fix it. There's always going to be people doing it that don't know what they're doing.

There's really only a couple solutions.

    1. The community gets together and forms a "group" that hold hourly type events to take people into the queues and teach them how to do them. Yeah. I can see that one happening lol

    2. Cryptic implements some sort of achievements for the queues and you have to do them before being able to move onto the next level of the queue. I don't see that one happening either.

At the end of the day we all just have to suck it up and live with it or run premades.

In the same amount of space you spent ranting about "bad" players, you could have also just explained how to do the mission.
    Coffee is life.

YOU are lecturing other players about skill and competence in STO?

Now I have officially seen it all.

As a rule in pretty much every MMO: if you're going with a PUG through a mission that does require a basic amount of brain cells (higher than the amount that causes the brain to go "KILLKILLKILLKILL!"), expect disappointment. If it's at least during the first month the mission is on, expect MASSIVE disappointment.

It also shows with the Tzenkethi Battlezone, where everyone and their Phoenix pet rushes to the same zone, greatly increasing the number and difficulty of the enemies while leaving the rest of the protected areas exposed to recapture, causing the overall progress of the battlezone to take much longer to reach the dreadnought goal.

I did one of these just today. Being pretty laid back It didn't go that badly with a pug. No actually we won and that is a success in general for any pug.

I just found it odd that one person in a Jupiter class would spend the better part of the mission firing on the invincible ice-cream cone of destruction. I mean I figured after several minutes of seeing nothing but 'Immune' would cause some gears to turn...

Have experienced this too. I don't play it often now as don't need the marks, but my experience of it was that I would quite often find myself in a PuG of players who were quite single minded. I mean there was one instance in which I was the only player doing the 'dreadnought warp core' run as everyone else decided that protecting the Starbase was FAR more important.

And in reference to having to do something similar in Tzenkethi Front, I played an instance of this on Sunday where there was one player who picked up a Protomatter bomb dropped from a enemy ship that someone else killed..... and then just flew around with it. Seriously, he made NO effort to make a run toward a Tzenkethi base - he just flew toward the next bomb-carrier Tzenkethi ship and started shooting at that instead. And he was still carrying it when the last base exploded.

Maybe he wanted to have a spare so he can build is own Space Empire? But yeah, I exerienced that, too.

It happens. You can try to use team chat to give some tips. They listen, or they don't. Or you just complete the mission by yourself, if you have the DPS and survivability to do so, it's certainly possible on Normal and Advanced. (Some can even do that on Elite, I doubt I'd be among them.)

Often I am the only one protecting the station, while everyone else goes and does the shuttle bomb shuffle. ~shrugs~
