It is not a story beyond the game. It is the story of the game. That is why they belong in game and not in external media. To claim otherwise is outright lying. My statements are "absolute" because mine are true.

Game lore belongs in game. You do realise that the vast majority of STO players don't even ever read blogs? Nor should they. Stuff like this should be a suppliment to in game content. Not a replacement.

TL:DR telling game storyline outside of the game in blog posts is stupid. War that never was refers to the fact that I feel that the Iconian War was never properly portrayed in-game; we are told of a desperate war against unstoppable enemies that we can't win, and that is never actually shown to us.

I would still say it's not really a problem because again unless you're a JHAS or other small ship you have no business dogfighting through the station anyway. I like my capital ships to be capital ships, if I wanted to buzz around like a world war 2 fighter I'd play X-Wing.
