I would FILL MY INVENTORY with naught but lockboxes and master keys until I won those for each and every one of my toons AND their BOffs. And DOffs, too.

The Raptor Is a Lie. The Tal Shiar symbol is an indirect red herring, the upcoming lockbox/Lobi Store release will have a distinct Elachi flavor. The Elachi are allied with the Tal Shiar, hence the symbol on the box (also there to keep the "mystique" of the new baddies going). I can already taste the mushrooms.

I would have liked more per ship solely because I'm a sucker for plasma. Oh well. I'll just have to settle for one of these and some "standard" Rommie beam arrays from the Rep store (once I unlock them, of course).

I just have one question: What "GENIUS" at Cryptic decided to to call them "nanovs" over "RIVER PIGS?!?" It is sooo obvious what the better, more awesome choice is of those names.

Are you sure about the "can't load cannons" part? It's been a while since I've used my KDF Nausicaan Tac (who has a Guramba), but I could've sworn it was capable of loading cannons. Unless they changed that in a patch at some point..?

I think what the OP means by "comparable" is a straight-up "three-pack" ship, like the Vesta, Odyssey, and Bortas'qu(sp?). Assuming Cryptic does this, my bet would be on another anticipated ship, either the Merian, Steamrunner, or Norway.
