Ok, we now have the Odyssey class Cruisers the Vesta class Science ships so when are we gonna get a comparable escort?
And for that matter, when are the Klingons going to get something comparable to the Vesta?

Assuming Cryptic does this, my bet would be on another anticipated ship, either the Merian, Steamrunner, or Norway. Of course, how awesome would it be if there was a bundle-deal with all three of those as a different skin for each variant, like they did with the Vesta, Aventine, and Rademaker? :cool:

And yes, the Vesta approach with different skins would rock. I can understand why they didn't with the Odyssey, but some variety there would have been nice.

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
The Branflakes bundle is clearly OP.
No other ship in the game has a spoon. How are we supposed to compete with that in PVP?!

the vesta is about to get an expensive 3 pack
and the vet ship is the most expensive of all, but instead of 2 different variants of the same ship you get 1 ship, 1 monthly stipend, and all the other life time/gold perks. thats the 3 part for escort.

Side story:
In college my roommate had a Chinchilla, guinea pigs, and a rabbit. The Chinchilla was a jerk and would pee on the rabbit to get her to leave her enclosure then the chinchilla would go to the bathroom in there and eat her treats then leave.
One night my pet rat and I went to the second floor to hang out with said roommate. He let the chinchilla out to run around. About 10 minutes later they finally came across each other.
The chinchilla started to pee on my rat but didn't get much of a chance. As soon as it tried to my rat jumped up on top of it and bit it on top of the head.
The chinchilla never pee'd on any other animal again. It remained afraid of my rat until we graduated college.
True story.
Since Cryptic adapted my Frontier into the Regent, they are free to use either my Qoj'chu or my Qib'elth.

Either one of those designs would look great ingame.
Of course adding 2 new ship skins for FREE would not be an option because there is no ROI for Cryptic.
Oh and... do not forget the Bortas'qu!
I like the visuals, but i wouldn't mind more kitbashin options here as well.
In particular those nacelles and the *head* section could use something more... edgy, instead of sharp... or more round-ish...
for the Odyssey i will only say 2 things
#1 i hate hate hate that it is shooting it's rear beams from the end tip of the nacelles, that is so wrong for so many reasons.
PLEASE update the weapon hardpoints to something more in line with the Ships in the Series.
#2 slightly thicker pylons, it looks like any torpedo could just rip these off the hull
There is a Phaser array on the end tip of the Odyssey class, if you turn off the black on the nacels you can see it it comes from there.
If they do make new parts for the Odyssey, it should not be where one can make the ship look like a new class, it should be how the Enterprise B was to the Excelsior Class.
